    Senior Lecturer - Department of Kiswahili

    AC/6/84/23– 1 POST

    • An applicant must be a holder of an earned PhD in Kiswahili (Linguistics, Literature or Communications) or equivalent qualifications from a University recognized by the University of Nairobi Senate.
    • He/she must also have a minimum of three (3) years University teaching experience at Lecturer or Research Fellow level OR a minimum of six (6) years of industry experience in the relevant field.
    • The applicant must have supervised to completion a minimum of one (1) PhD and one (1) Masters Student OR a minimum of three (3) Masters Students.
    • He/she must have a minimum of twenty four (24) publication points from peer reviewed journals with; a minimum of four (4) publications in refereed scholarly journals since last promotion OR a minimum of two (2) publications in refereed scholarly journals and two (2) scholarly book chapters; OR a minimum of two (2) publications in refereed scholarly journals and two (2) scholarly published teaching/lecturer modules or two (2) working, discussion or occasional papers since last promotion. He/she must have attracted research or development funds or educational resources as a Lecturer or Research Fellow since his/her last promotion. The applicant must also show evidence of community service. He/she must be registered with a relevant professional body, where applicable.
    • The successful candidate will be expected to teach and supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate students and undertake further research in his/her area of specialization and also participate in University, Faculty and Departmental Activities.

    Technologist Grade ABC - Royal Satima Department OF Food Science, Nutrition and Technology

    AD/6/83/23– 1 POST

    • Applicants must be holders KCSE mean grade C with credits in relevant subjects (those who were employed by the University before 2007 will be considered with the KCSE/KCE grades they already have) and ordinary Diploma in Industrial and Applied Biology, Food science and Technology, Water Technology or related field or equivalent qualification from a recognized learning Institution.
    • They should have three (3) years’ experience as Trainee Technologist grade IV.
    • The successful candidate will be expected to among other assignments be undertaking daily analysis of raw water, in-process unprocessed water, documenting inventory of the water processing control systems, assist in directing the day to day operations at Royal Satima and handle any other related duties as assigned from time to time

    Technologist Grade ABC, University Health Services UHS

    AD/6/82/23 – 1 POST

    • Applicants must be holders KCSE grade C with credits in Biology (those who were employed by the University before 2007 will be considered with the KCSE/KCE grades they already have) and an ordinary Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or a Medical related field from a recognized learning Institution. They should have three (3) years experience as Trainee Technologist grade IV
    • Possession of a Diploma in Front Office Management; a Certificate in Phlebotomy; Proficiency in venipuncture and capillary blood collection techniques; demonstration of: strong attention to detail; excellent organizational skills; knowledge of medical terminologies and laboratory front office procedures; excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be an added advantage
    • The successful candidate will be expected among other assignments to: Perform blood draws and collect samples with precision and care; Ensure accurate labelling and documentation of collected samples; Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control measures; Collaborate with health care professionals to provide seamless patient care and contribute to maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.
