    System Administrator

    Reports to: Technical Operations Manager

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Systems admin will maintain the computer networks, provide technical support and ensure the whole company runs smoothly. He /She will monitor and maintain the company computer systems, install and configure hardware and software, and solve technical problems.

    ROLES &RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
    2. Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
    3. Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
    4. Providing technical support across the company
    5. Setting up accounts for new users
    6. Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
    7. On board & train new staff on all company platforms such as team; teams, basecamp, 3cx telephone platform, & assign them new emails.
    8. Maintain Company Servers/ biometric systems etc.
    9. Organize the boardroom and assign projectors to teams as may be required.
    10. Knowledge, skills and experience required
    11. BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline
    12. Professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is an added advantage
    13. At least 2 years proven work experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or IT support in a busy organization.
    14. Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
    15. Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
    16. Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language
    17. Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
    18. Knowledge on LMS platforms

    • Excellent communication skills
    • Experience and interest in internal and external communications, partnership development
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platforms.

    Head of Projects

    Job Summary

    The Head of Projects position is accountable for the overall execution of project processes and deliverables in-line with the project plan, including planning, budgeting, communication, stakeholder management, risk and issue management, and scope management. The position holder works closely with project managers, development/delivery teams, and stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered in a manner that achieves the business objectives, while following a defined project management methodology, thus ensuring that the solution implemented is both supportable and sustainable.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • In partnership with the company’s Directors, lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of all products and solutions.
    • Provide end-to-end oversight and hands-on project management in the release planning, guaranteeing adherence to business needs and priorities and as a consequence, contribute to the reduction of development costs of the projects.
    • To provide timely updates to all governance bodies and senior stakeholders on the progress of the projects, impacts to projects, major milestones and risks to projects on a regular as well as need-to basis.
    • The position requires direct involvement in solution architecture discussions to enable the progressive build of services around the technology platform.
    • The head of projects is also expected to be liaise with external vendors, monitor and coordinate efforts between multiple vendors in the seamless delivery of the project. He/she should work in partnership with Business stakeholders and Operations and Technical department to deliver projects with agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality.
    • Report and communicate project successes, risks, and status to leadership and stakeholders.
    • Enforce compliance of project management methodology and deliverables.
    • Facilitate discussions, conduct meetings and drive initiatives and issues to conclusion
    • Consult with stakeholders to gather and document requirements and specifications for solutions and enhancements 
    • Drives the execution of standard processes and controls to protect company assets
    • Verify that requirements are testable and generate testing objectives.
    • Review test cases for accuracy and quality assurance.
    • Validate User Acceptance results to conform to requirements

    Knowledge, skills and experience required

    • Degree in computer science, Information Technology or any other related Technical field.
    • .A master’s degree in computer science/ Information Communication Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution is an added advantage
    • Over seven (7) years of project management experience
    • Project Management Certification is an asset
    • Extensive project management experience and proven skill to ensure that project objectives and goals are met within agreed upon time, scope, resource, budget and quality requirements
    • Able to supervise and collaborate with the entire Software Development team to ensure quality; security; standards are maintained.
    • Experience in Agile PM Methods
    • Experience in coding, SCRUM certification, Prince

    Other Competencies

    • Excellent project analysis, planning skills, project management skills
    • Ability to quickly comprehend requirements and transform them into project tasks/deliverables
    • Ability to multi-task and support multiple priorities / multiple deliverables simultaneously.
