    Temporary Assistant Accounting and Finance Payables

    TEMPORARY ASSISTANT – ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE (PAYABLES) – 1 POSITION

    Contract Period: Six Months Fixed Term Contract

    Reporting to the Senior Manager Accounting and Finance, the selected candidate will be responsible for:

    • Reconciliation of Accounts Payables;
    • Assist in preparation of annual accounting schedules for external audit purposes;
    • Prepare creditors’ aged analysis and deal with outstanding issues including following up with the suppliers for any necessary information or documentation;
    • Prepare expenses and other monthly schedules;
    • Reconciling supplier accounts, other payable accounts (e. g PAYE, WHT, WHVAT, etc) and general review of expense accounts;
    • Timely Filing information for statutory obligations (WHVAT, WHT, PPRA Levy, PAYE etc),
    • Liaising with the Supply Chain Management Department in the automation of processes to enhance efficiency in Supplier management; and
    • Follow up on support documentation for completeness of payments.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor of Commerce- Finance, Economics, Accounting, or any business-related degree;
    • Professional courses - CPA Part I
    • Basic IT and knowledge of automated Accounting systems will be an added advantage.

    • Strong analytical and technical aptitude
    • Team player with strong work ethic
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Demonstrate good communication skills both spoken and written;
    • Ability to complete assignments within set timelines
    • Ability to undertake multiple assignments

    Temporary Assistant Accounting and Finance Receivables

    TEMPORARY ASSISTANT – ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE (RECEIVABLES) – 1 POSITION
    Contract Period: Six Months Fixed Term Contract

    Reporting to the Senior Manager Accountiing and Finance, the selected candidate will be responsible for;

    • Assisting in preparing weekly/monthly cash projection and daily cash position report;
    • Assisting in preparation of follow up letters, demand letters for invoices and other correspondences to receivables customers;
    • Assisting in preparation and posting of revenue invoices for Transaction fees on Equity,
    • Transaction fee on bonds, approval fees, market development fee and license fee in accordance with the Capital Markets Act;
    • Assisting in undertaking Asset verification and assets tagging in line with Organization’s strategic objective of ensuring efficient safeguarding of Authority's fixed Assets;
    • Assisting in updating Investor Compensation Fund (ICF) Investments;
    • Assisting in following up on ICF payments and monthly billing of ICF revenues;
    • Assisting in reporting for ICF;
    • Assisting in receipting and follow up of ICF monies; and
    • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience
