    Senior Institutional Equities Trader

    Job Purpose Statement

    The Senior Sales Trader role combines deep client relationships with strong execution expertise. The candidate will be expected to focus on prospecting, engaging, and converting leads and executing equities trades on behalf of retail and institutional customers. The successful candidate will be good with working under pressure and will identify optimal trading opportunities leading to best execution. This role demands analytical acumen, risk management, attention to detail, an ability to deal with high pressure and fast paced environments, and strong relationship with the buyside.
    Additionally, they must be good at problem solving to ensure clients have a seamless experience. The candidate must have experience working on with institutional investors local or foreign or both. The role holder will be instrumental in driving revenue generation and achieving market share objectives for NCBA IB- Brokerage.

    Job Specifications
    Academic & Professional

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or any other acceptable degree from a recognized University.
    • Certification by NSE for ATS, Avvento and Derivatives Trading
    • CISI Level III
    • ICIFA Membership.
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
    • Proficiency in the use of Bloomberg.

    Desired work experience:

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience of institutional equities trading with institutional investors both local and foreign.
    • Experience in handling complex instructions/orders for investors.
    • Experience handling accounts for high-net-worth individuals would also be of benefit
    • Deep knowledge of the Capital Markets.
    • Existing relationships with the local and regional asset managers.
    • Proficiency in the use of Bloomberg.
    • Good writing and communication skills.

    Manager, CSME Recoveries

    Job Purpose Statement

    To offer leadership to the recoveries team within the retail segment of the bank by setting and implementing appropriate recovery strategies in line with the Bank’s Remedial Management Process and Procedures.

    This is designed to minimise loss on the impaired bank assets and Ensure focused attention on and close monitoring of the performance of the non-performing loans portfolio of the bank. The guiding strategy is returning the accounts to performing status, recovery or total exit

    Senior Institutional Sales Trader

    Job Purpose Statement

    The role is a salesperson for the NCBA IB -brokerage business, mostly equities, however, the ability to cross sell different assets is a positive. The candidate is expected to already have relationships with institutional investors locally and preferably internationally too. They will also be speaking to a small number of high-net-worth individuals, who require specialist coverage. This position serves as the primary interface between customers and NCBA IB’s trading and research teams, facilitating seamless communication and execution of customer requirements daily. During transactions such as placements, IPOs etc they will coordinate the sales effort. The individual will take ownership of planning and coordinating roadshows for both analysts and customers. They will work with the research team to craft
    trading ideas and highlight areas of interest to our customers. The role requires someone with attention to detail, an ability to maintain relationships with asset managers, knowledge of markets and corporates and an understanding of economics/finance. Strong communication skills both verbal and written are vital.
