    Business Support Officer

    The Role

    Oxfam International Secretariat is looking for an experienced Business Support professional to provide support to the OI Chief Operating Officer and wider Operational Department. This is a fast-paced, varied role involving both project work, stakeholder relationship management and some PA support to the COO.

    You will have demonstrable experience in a PA or similar support role ideally in a large, global organization. You will be able to demonstrate sound judgement, discretion, proactivity and autonomy. You will be able to build a wide variety of successful relationships.     Donor Accountant

    The Role

    Oxfam International Secretariat is looking for a Donor Accountant who will be responsible for the accurate, timely and efficient reporting in compliance with all regulatory and donor requirements. This role will be supporting the financial management and reporting of Oxfam International and act as a key contributor in the management of Oxfam donor contract.

    Who we're looking for

    You will have demonstrated experience in donor reporting, donor compliance and financial management regulations for different international donors. You will be experienced in Financial Accounting, including solutions focused customer service skills and have demonstrated experience with an ERP finance system. You will also have an appropriate accounting qualification supported by membership of a relevant professional body (eg. Chartered or Certified Accounting body). You will demonstrate a commitment to role-modelling Oxfam’s values and feminist principles in the way you conduct yourself as a Donor Accountant.

    Consultancy-Provision of Energy Audit

    About Workplace Energy Audit

    Oxfam International is undertaking the process of reviewing its energy consumption specifically utilization of electricity for the past three years with the objective of promoting the energy conserving design by improving the energy utilization efficiency in the operation of existing office use.

    In support of the work above it is required to develop a specific energy management guideline, also an evaluation of various energy consuming operations and procedures to determine energy saving opportunities need to be carried out. Therefore, energy audits will be conducted to establish the baseline energy utilization performance and provide an estimate of the costs for the last three years. Moreover, the audits will determine and assess any wasteful as well as energy conserving practices, operations and procedures.

    SCOPE OF WORK

    The consultant will be required to:

    • Review the existing energy operational characteristics of the building: Through a series of meetings and site visits identify and establish the energy operating characteristics of the facility, energy system specifications, operating and maintenance procedures, preliminary areas of investigation, unusual operating constraints, anticipated future expansions or changes, and other concerns related to energy facility operations.
    • Review existing energy documentation and management practice: All available facility documentation is reviewed with site representatives (where possible). This documentation should include all facility operation and maintenance procedures and logs, and utility bills for the previous 3 years.
    • Detailed inspection of site and preliminary energy audit: After a thorough review of the building, operation and management documentation, the major energy consuming processes in the facility are further investigated. The inspection and energy audit shall focus on all passive and active systems available on site. The report will recommend a series of no/low, medium and investment grade measures.

    Media Officer

    The Role

    Oxfam International Secretariat is looking for a Media Officer to join into our four-person media team. You’ll be developing international media strategies and content across Oxfam’s influencing and humanitarian agenda. You’ll be linking your media work up with our campaigns and advocacy, humanitarian, program, social media and fund-raising teams. You’ll be working ultimately with Oxfam teams around the world in delivering this content to their markets.

    What we are looking for

    You will be a sharp written communicator with great news judgement and a flair for the creative – a storyteller. You’ll prize simplicity and accuracy. You’ll have a strategic understanding of media delivery, including in tandem with social media channels. You’ll have a track record of developing close networks and relationships with colleagues around the world and be aware of their different contexts and supportive of their needs. You’ll know how to minimize and manage risk and how to maximize positive impact. You’ll have at least five years of media experience behind you, with knowledge of non-governmental organizations and other languages a bonus.
