    Senior Development Associate

    Position Summary

    • Teach For All is seeking a proactive and organized professional for the position of Senior Development Associate, Africa. This individual will provide operations and behind-the-scenes support to our external efforts in the Africa region.  They will play a central support role in this external work, which consists of building stakeholders’ understanding of and support for Teach For All’s approach across the region, securing the funding necessary for Teach For All’s operations and support of partner organizations in the region and supporting our efforts to engage social entrepreneurs through the pre-partnership process. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting global network to expand educational opportunities for all children.
    • A successful candidate for this position will manage internal tracking systems and operations, conduct research on donors, draft correspondence to donors and other influential stakeholders, conduct project management and coordinate with Teach For All colleagues around the world to drive our fundraising and external engagement strategies. This person will report to the Head of Africa and serve on the Africa regional team, with additional resources and support provided by global Network Growth and Development team colleagues.

    Key Outcomes

    An effective Senior Development Associate, Africa will play a key role in proactively cultivating an influential network of champions, supporters, and advisory group members for the Teach For All Africa region by:

    • Project managing and coordinating effectively across various Teach For All teams and partners in pursuit of development and external engagement objectives
    • Researching the landscape of potential supporters in Africa and making recommendations for how we engage with them
    • Drafting clear, timely and effective internal and external communications
    • Co-owning the pipeline of regionally-driven supporters for Africa - accurately maintaining tracking and data systems that allow the team to understand our progress and portfolio managers to stay on top of critical tasks
    • Leveraging those systems and information to pull data and analysis that lead to decision making

    Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Maintaining strong systems and project plans to efficiently and effectively advance the regional external strategy.  Implementing and managing tracking systems, Salesforce data system and operations to support the effective management of the fundraising portfolio and stakeholder communications, leveraging them to manage up to senior-level managers
    • Conducting research and analysis of prospective donors and existing connections to inform strategy for influencing, motivating, and inspiring external stakeholders to contribute to our work
    • Drafting internal and external donor and stakeholder-related communications, such as meeting briefs, thank you letters, email correspondence, presentations, regional quarterly newsletters, and donor histories for network partners
    • Compiling and preparing all necessary background materials for international and regional donor-related trips and conferences
    • Circulating synthesized call and meeting notes that include recommendations for next steps
    • Project managing events and projects that are being implemented by various Teach For All teams in support of our external strategy in Africa
    • Managing logistics for conference calls, external meetings and events in the region
    • Coordinating trip planning and logistics, including drafting itineraries, compiling preparatory materials, and arranging travel and accommodations
    • Coordinating and project managing effectively across various Teach For All teams in pursuit of our engagement with external stakeholders
    • Supporting on drafting/review of proposals/reports, coordinating across TFAll staff and partners to collect necessary info, etc

    Education & Experience

    • Strong English written and interpersonal communication skills, as well as research and analytical skills are required
    • Other languages spoken in the local and/or regional context highly preferred
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience highly preferred
    • Previous communications / non-profit experience preferred, but not required
    • Previous experience with fundraising preferred, but not required
    • Previous experience working in a global organization and/or a matrix organizational structure preferred, but not required
    • Previous experience working in a remote, virtual work environment preferred, but not required
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook highly preferred
    • Familiarity with Salesforce or other client relationship management system a plus

    Accounting Associate, Finance

    As the Accounting Associate at Teach For All, you will engage in the following and/or similar activities: 

    30% - Accounts Receivable Management

    • Generate invoices to donors and working closely with the fundraising team  to collect the required back-up documentation
    • Draft AR invoices in financial system, and other AR processes including reconciliation of revenue across different systems
    • Liase with the fundraising team to follow up on outstanding payments

    25% - Accounts Payable and Vendor management

    • Manage AP processes including vendor setup and global payments
    • Liase with payment providers and bank to troubleshoot and resolve payment issues
    • Assit with  invoice reviews

    20% - Month/year close processes

    • Draft journal entries for intercompany transfers, bank fees, interest etc.
    • Reconcile cash receipts and disbursements to the general ledger in a timely manner
    • Assist with balance sheet accounts reconciliations
    • Draft allocation and reclassifying journal entries for the different entities as maybe required

    15% - Grantmaking Function support

    • Submit  invoices for grants to network partners and reconcile payment details across systems
    • Process foreign currency grants and reconcile ForEx impact.
    • Support the subgrant liquidation and reconciliation process across systems

    10% - Other Projects

    • Assist with Audit Preparation
    • Assist with Tax Filing
    • Other ad hoc projects

    As the ideal candidate, you will bring: 

    • 1-3 years of accounting experience and a working knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
    • Experience with cloud-based software (ERP systems, expense/invoice software, Salesforce/CRM platforms, payment platforms) is a plus
    • Intermediate-level Microsoft Excel skills required, comfort with Excel shortcuts and ability to operate quickly in Excel is a significant plus.
    • Experience in a global financial environment is a plus (specifically multi-currency and/or multi-entity management)
    • Non Profit accounting experience is a plus but not required
    • Audit experience is a plus but not required

    Senior Associate, Corporate Partnerships

    Position Summary

    • Teach For All seeks a Senior Associate, Corporate Partnerships Operations to work alongside the Global Head of Corporate Partnerships and the team to help attract, retain, and grow our group of corporate champions and supporters.
    • The Senior Associate will play a critical role in supporting the actions, strategies and systems undergirding Teach For All’s cultivation of this deep and dynamic donor pipeline. 
    • His/her duties will range from being responsible for the day-to-day project management of current or future partnership or being responsible for the team's data system and operations to research and meeting preparation, as well as managing up to the Global Head of Corporate Partnerships to execute expansive partnerships with donors and prospects.
    • The Senior Associate will lead on designing and executing the actions, strategies and systems that will sustain Teach For All’s cultivation of this deep and dynamic donor pipeline. They will also develop and help execute a robust communications strategy for our corporate champions, as well as implement the systems needed to execute our cultivation calendar. 
    • A successful candidate will be able to liaise externally with managers and representatives of global or regional corporations and should be familiar with partnership and project management. He/she will be able to think and create partnership proposals together with the team and to coordinate the different actors involved. Also, he/she will also be rigorous and systematic, to create and maintain systems to increase the efficiency of the corporate partnerships team, produce high-quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven and dynamic environment, and project manage self and others toward diverse and shifting priorities. 
    • The Senior Associate will report directly to the Head of Corporate Partnerships. The Corporate Partnerships team represents approximately $9 million in annual revenue for Teach For All and more than 30 network partners all across the world.

    Responsibilities 

    • The Senior Associate, Corporate Partnerships, will play a key role in supporting the organization’s portfolio of corporate supporters. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

     Fundraising Responsibilities

    • Lead the research of potential leads for the portfolio and coordinate the back end of the fundraising pipeline, identifying alignment between our work and donor interests and recommending concrete next steps for the organization to take.
    • Developing, preparing and managing partnership proposals and creating compelling PowerPoint presentations for funder meetings and touch points.
    • Communicating with a diverse set of network partner staff to maximize existing partnerships and help secure new corporate partnerships.

    Project Management Responsibilities 

    • Managing some of our corporate donor relationships, which involves project management and coordination of local/international network partner teams’ work.
    • Developing and tracking communications and cultivation/stewardship plans across various corporate partnerships.
    • Managing up to colleagues in order to execute on project plans for cultivation purposes (i.e. ensuring grant reports and milestones are on track)
    • Drafting strategy documents and collaborating with internal staff on key approaches to advancing this portfolio.

    Systems and Operations Responsibilities

    • Maintaining strong systems and project plans to advance the work of portfolio efficiently and effectively (CRM, weekly tasks, meeting briefs and downloads, calendar scheduling, etc., internal and external donor-related communications, etc.)
    • Managing the gift process for new donations and payments of the Corporate Partnerships Team while tightly project managing cross-team initiatives (e.g., building budgets or managing subgrants to network partners and donor reports/proposals)
    • Leveraging data systems to stay abreast of fundraising efforts across Teach For All to proactively identify internal collaboration opportunities, such as ensuring next steps are completed, making strategic suggestions for donor cultivation strategies, knowing progress and path to fundraising goals, and identifying next steps and owners.
    • Providing other administrative support on an as-needed basis

    Requirements 

    • At least 5 years of professional experience preferred, especially in non-profit fundraising or partnership management.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Drive 
    • English fluency required. Fluency in other regional languages is helpful, but not required.
    • Prior experience with fundraising and/or business development preferred.
    • Previous experience with Salesforce or other client relationship management system a plus.

    People First Community Coordinator

    Position Summary 

    • Teach For All seeks People First Coordinator to support the People First Secretariat in advancing the People First Community’s growth and progress over the next years. The People First Community Coordinator is an operational and project management role. It will work in close coordination with a wide range of organizations that are members of this effort as well as with staff across the Teach For All global organization, all of them supporting different strands of work and working groups.

    As a Coordinator of this effort, you will engage in the following and/or similar activities:

    • Drafting and communications (50%)
      • Managing, drafting, and updating of People First communications across the board, e.g., to all members of the Community, to the Steering Committee, to working groups, etc.
      • Drafting and disseminating People First Monthly newsletters and other outreaches to continue growing community membership.
      • Conceptualize and draft external and internal communications and other requests, such as letters and email correspondence, talking points for external panels, etc.
      • Execute action plans that support the implementation and operationalization of the People First advocacy priorities.
      • Management and maintenance of People First platforms, website, and social media profiles.
      • Provide support to update and revisit core documents. 
    • Project Management, planning execution, budgeting, and logistics (50%)
      • Lead and prepare meetings’ agendas, actions and follow ups and other operational support for People First Steering Committee and Working Groups.
      • Operational support for current and future activities building on the above priority areas.
      • Community tracking systems and support the definition and implementation of internal working procedures.
      • Provision of broad administrative support for People First Secretariat, including scheduling calls, drafting meeting briefs, etc.
      • Project planning and provision of direction for People First panels, events and conversations led by the People First Secretariat or other Community members at key events, both in-person and virtual. Provision of technical support for virtual events.
      • Budget monitoring and expenditure justifications.

    Global Lead, Learning Experiences

    Position Summary

    • To help further advance Teach For All’s 25-year vision and intended outcomes, we are seeking a Global Lead for the Learning Experiences Team. As the Global Lead, you will set vision and direction to equip and enable staff members, teachers, and alumni across  the Teach For All network  to connect and learn together in pursuit of transforming systems for children everywhere. You will manage a diverse global remote team of around 18 specialists with expertise in adult learning, blended and in-person learning, storytelling, capturing and spreading knowledge and insights, accessibility in learning and much more. These specialists partner with content experts to deliver best-in-class learning experiences for our network and for external audiences.
    • You will work closely with leaders across our organization including our five regional teams in Africa, Middle East North Africa, Asia Pacific , Europe and the Americas  to ensure the Learning Experiences team is meeting the needs of our network constituents and creating tangible impact across our network.

    Outcomes

    • As the Global Lead, you will be responsible for consulting with your team and leaders from across the organization to determine the appropriate outcomes for the Learning Experiences team to measure progress and continually improve. In general, you will be responsible for ensuring that Teach For All’s learning experiences are effective in meeting their goals, inclusive, and aligned to our core values. Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting the ongoing development of the specialists on the Learning Experiences team in alignment with our growth and development philosophy.

     As the Global Lead for the Learning Experiences team at Teach For All, you will engage in the following and/or similar activities:

     Lead our efforts to produce high quality learning experiences by:

    • Setting vision and direction for the design and execution of our learning experiences by working across the organization to ensure strategic alignment across stakeholder groups
    • Identifying gaps in our current learning experience design and delivery, and outlining strategies for improvement
    • Working with all teams such as Knowledge and Coaching and Consulting, Global Initiatives and Partnerships , Connectivity, Global Leadership Accelerator, Public Affairs, Global Multilateral Team and regional teams, as well as our network partners to ensure our learning experiences meet learner needs. 
    • Working with various teams to drive attendance, inclusion, and engagement in virtual and in person learning experiences.
    • Ensuring the team has the skills and capacity to ensure Teach For All’s learning experiences are continually pushing the realm of what is possible to enable inclusive and effective learning across our network
    • Ensuring the team is capturing and spreading insights around designing and delivering effective learning experiences
