    Lead Refinery - Edible Oil

    • The Lead – Refinery Plant oversees end-to-end production, ensuring optimal performance, minimal stock variances, and high operational efficiency. The role manages daily activities, production planning, process optimization, material control, maintenance coordination, and quality compliance. Requires strong technical and leadership skills, plus 10–12 years of experience in edible oil refinery operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Production & Operations Management
    • Lead and supervise refinery production operations to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly output targets.
    • Ensure consistent product quality and adherence to process standards.
    • Implement best manufacturing practices (5S, Lean, TPM, Six Sigma).
    • Monitor plant KPIs including throughput, yield, recovery, downtime, and cycle efficiency.
    • Coordinate with planning, logistics, and procurement for uninterrupted raw material and supply flow.
    • Stock Variance & Material Accountability
    • Oversee and reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports (RM, WIP, FG).
    • Identify, analyze, and resolve stock variances through root cause analysis and control measures.
    • Strengthen internal controls to maintain accurate material balances (input vs. output).
    • Collaborate closely with inventory, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting.
    • Efficiency, Performance & Optimization
    • Track and improve operational parameters including process yields, energy consumption, throughput time, and OEE.
    • Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce losses, improve productivity, and enhance cost efficiency.
    • Evaluate process bottlenecks and implement corrective action plans.
    • Drive digitalization/automation initiatives (SCADA, DCS, IoT, process analytics).
    • Maintenance Coordination
    • Work with the maintenance department to plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
    • Ensure equipment reliability and minimal unplanned downtime.
    • Participate in shutdown planning, execution, and performance evaluation.
    • Maintain compliance with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and safety standards.
    • Quality, Safety & Compliance
    • Enforce strict adherence to quality control parameters and statutory guidelines.
    • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, environmental norms, and safety regulations.
    • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and process safety management (PSM) activities.
    • Promote a strong culture of safety, discipline, and continuous improvement.
    • Leadership & Team Development
    • Lead, coach, and mentor production supervisors, operators, and technical support teams.
    • Build capabilities through training, performance assessments, and skill-enhancement programs.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and process excellence.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering (Master’s preferred).
    • Must have 10–12 years of proven experience managing operations in an edible oil refinery.
    • Strong knowledge of refinery processes, utilities, DCS/SCADA systems, and mass balance principles.
    • Proven experience in production planning, process optimization, and efficiency improvement.
    • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, OEE, and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Hands-on knowledge of maintenance systems (CMMS, preventive maintenance, etc.).
    • This position is open exclusively to Kenyan nationals.

    Tour Consultant

    Job Description

    • Prepare quotations for clients, doing hotel bookings for clients and preparing itineraries to the various destinations of interest
    • Organizing client pick-ups for safaris and airport transfers, negotiate rates with hotels, maintaining client files and proper filing and receiving, invoicing and following up payments from clients.
    • Preparing tour packages for different destinations local and international
    • Product Distribution – Both Local & International packages targeting different events/Seasons, products to be released as per the Product plan timelines
    • To ensure up-to date products on Website & social media
    • Monthly product performance reports to monitor effect on the market
    • Preparation of tailor-made itineraries, costing and providing competitive quotations to clients;
    • Bookings / Reservations and Reconfirmations;
    • Tour briefing – providing details to the clients on the services booked, general information and requirements;
    • Follow up after the service provision / De briefing;
    • Selling of other related services e.g. insurance, tickets;
    • Responsible for obtaining correct documents, visa fees and advice visa checklist to the customer.

    Requirements

    • Relevant university Degree or Diploma
    • Minimum 2 years’ and above hands on experience as a Tour Consultant in a busy tours company
    • Exceptional knowledge of local and international tour destinations
    • Knowledge of Air Ticketing (Added advantage)
    • Ability to use various tours/hotel booking systems
    • Online tours selling experience
    • Have good knowledge of B2B segments
    • Ability to design tour packages and prepare itineraries for clients
    • Good product knowledge
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills
    • Good relationships with various partners-hotels, ground handlers, airlines etc
    • Possess a lot of drive and passion for the job

    Lead Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) – FMCG

    Key Responsibilities:

    • EHS Strategy & Leadership
    • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the company-wide EHS strategy aligned with local laws, global standards, and organizational objectives.
    • Lead EHS governance across all sites, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, international certifications, and corporate standards.
    • Champion a zero-harm culture through leadership engagement, awareness, and behavior-based safety initiatives.
    • Policy Ownership & Compliance
    • Own and update all EHS policies, SOPs, and risk mitigation frameworks in alignment with national regulations and global FMCG best practices.
    • Ensure full compliance with NEMA, OSHA, DOSHS, fire safety, and environmental impact guidelines.
    • Lead internal and external audits, gap assessments, and timely closure of corrective/preventive actions.
    • QMS & Certification Management
    • Take ownership of all Quality Management System (QMS) and integrated management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, etc.).
    • Manage certification audits, renewals, and ensure effective implementation of continuous improvement practices across functions.
    • Multi-Site Oversight & Reporting
    • Oversee EHS operations across all three manufacturing locations, with direct reports from site-level EHS officers/supervisors.
    • Set KPIs, conduct reviews, and standardize best practices across locations.
    • Ensure day-to-day compliance reporting, incident investigation, and EHS performance tracking from all sites.
    • Risk Management & Incident Control
    • Drive hazard identification, risk assessment (HIRA), and emergency preparedness programs.
    • Lead root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for all EHS incidents.
    • Conduct regular site safety inspections, mock drills, and environmental monitoring.
    • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Act as the main liaison with local and national regulatory bodies, emergency services, and industry associations.
    • Build and maintain strong local contacts to ensure smooth compliance, inspections, and crisis management.
    • Engage with community stakeholders on sustainability, environmental, and CSR programs.
    • Training & Capability Building
    • Develop and implement comprehensive EHS training programs for all levels of employees, contractors, and visitors.
    • Drive a culture of ownership and accountability through regular awareness campaigns and skill-building sessions.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
    • NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA Certification mandatory.
    • Minimum 10+ years of EHS leadership experience in FMCG or manufacturing industry.
    • Proven experience managing multi-site EHS responsibilities with direct reporting structures.
    • Deep understanding of Kenyan EHS laws and global safety/environmental frameworks.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Fluent in English and Kiswahili; local networks are a strong advantage.
