    Assistant Office Administrator

    Job Summary

    • The job holder will participate and support all activities pertaining to the Authority’s functions.

    Reporting

    • The successful candidate will report to the Head of Human Resource Services but should be ready to work at any offices of CDA located within its Area of Jurisdiction.

    Key Duties and responsibilities:

    • Ensuring security, integrity and confidentiality of data and information;
    • Managing office protocol and etiquette;
    • Maintaining office diary and travel itineraries;
    • Providing secretarial support;
    • Ensuring security of office records, equipment and documents;
    • Preparing responses to routine correspondence for the Department;
    • Co–ordinating the general administration of the respective offices;
    • Maintaining the standing imprest of the Department
    • Coordinating schedule of meetings and appointments;
    • Coordinating travel arrangements for respective offices;
    • Coordinating appointments and travel itineraries;
    • Offering administrative support to other staffs as and when requested;
    • Operating office equipment;
    • Maintaining an up-to-date file movement register

    Requirements for Appointment

    • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) have minimum grade C- with C plain in English or Swahili language or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
    • Diploma or Higher Diploma in Secretarial studies or any of the following: Business Management, Business Administration or other equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution.
    • Or
    • Business Education Single and Group Certificate (BES or GC) from KNEC in the following subjects: Type writing II (Minimum 40 W/PM/computerized Document Processing II
    • Business English I /Communication I
    • Office Practice I
    • Commerce I
    • Have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in relevant work in the Public Service or in the Private Sector.
    • Be proficient in computer applications.
    • Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and
    • Show merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    Note: Appointment to this grade will be on Permanent and Pensionable terms as per the Human Resource Policy & Procedure Manual.
    Salary Scale as per scales given by Salary & Renumeration Commission of Kenya.

    Supply Chain Management Officer

    Job Summary

    • The job holder will participate and support all activities pertaining to the supply chain function.

    Reporting

    • The successful candidate will report to the Manager – Procurement and Supply Chain but should be ready to work at any offices of CDA located within its Area of Jurisdiction.
    • Key Duties and responsibilities:
    • Participate in the preparation of tender documents, requests for proposals, and expression of interests;
    • Receiving and opening of tenders/quotation documents;
    • Participating in the evaluation of tenders/quotations;
    • Assisting in the preparation of Statutory Reports;
    • Participating in the preparation of annual procurement and disposal plans;
    • Participate in the preparation and submitting procurement reports;
    • Undertaking inspection and acceptance of goods, services and works;
    • Undertaking disposal of stores and equipment; and inventory management and control
    • Carrying out periodic market survey;
    • Preparing and dispatching of Local Purchase Order (LPO) and Local Service Order
    • (LSO); and
    • Participating and conducting periodic and annual stock taking.

    Requirements for Appointment:

    • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: – Procurement and Supplies Management, Procurement and Logistics, Commerce, Business Administration (Supplies Management Option), Economics, or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
    • Be a member of professional body either CIPS /KISM with a practicing license for at least 2 years.
    • Be proficient in computer applications.
    • Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and
    • Show merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    Note: Appointment to this grade will be on Permanent and Pensionable terms as per the Human Resource Policy & Procedure Manual.

    Accountant

    Job Summary

    • The job holder will, provide technical support by preparing financial statements through compiling and analyzing the account information and documenting financial transactions.

    Reporting

    • The successful candidate will report to the Manager – Finance and Accounts but should be ready to work at any offices of CDA located within its Area of Jurisdiction.

    Key Duties and responsibilities

    • Preparing and verifying vouchers in accordance with the laid down rules and regulations;
    • Capturing data and maintaining primary records such as cashbooks, ledgers, vote books and registers;
    • Providing safe custody of accounting records and assets;
    • Writing cheques, posting payments and receipting vouchers in the cash books;
    • Receipting of money due and payable to the Authority;
    • Preparing periodic financial accounts and budgets;
    • Participating in Budgetary Control Functions/vote book control;
    • Preparing and reviewing periodic expenditure returns;
    • Preparing monthly bank reconciliation;
    • Maintaining the general ledger;
    • Remitting statutory deductions;
    • Ensuring safe custody of payments and journal vouchers;
    • Preparing regular financial reports; and
    • Maintaining fixed asset register

    Requirements for Appointment

    • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option) or other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
    • Be a certified Public Accountant Part II or ACCA.
    • Be a member of a Professional Body with at least 2 years’ experience
    • Be proficient in computer applications.
    • Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

    Note: Appointment to this grade will be on Permanent and Pensionable terms as per the Human Resource Policy & Procedure Manual.
    Salary Scale as per scales given by Salary & Renumeration Commission of Kenya.
