    Production Manager

    Overall Objective of the Role: To secure Flowers Production processes and ensure a reliable system is in place for sustainable performance from the employees and other assets to achieve the company’s objective of delivering quality flower cuttings to our customers in the agreed specifications on time and right quantity.

    • Crop protection
    • Ensure attainment of phytosanitary and quality standards
    • Production Planning
    • Season Labor planning

    • Production research
    • Process improvement
    • Data base management
    • Monthly reports
    • Health, Safety and Environment initiatives and implementation

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    The ideal candidate must possess the following qualification and competencies:

    • A Bachelors’ degree in Agriculture or Horticulture
    • A Masters’ degree in Agriculture/Horticulture or Business administration will be an added advantage
    • 7 years’ experience as a senior grower, crop manager or as an agronomist
    • 10 years of growing flower crops in a greenhouse setting
    • Thorough knowledge of horticulture business production, end to end
    • Ability to do departmental budgeting and follow up on the implementation of the same within the specified timelines
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Must possess a proven track record of leading teams with good problem-solving skills
    • Disease and pest identification and management.
    • Farm production planning and execution in a developing country
    • Data entry and analysis.

    Technology Innovations and Phytosanitary Manager

    Overall Objective of the Role:

    • Lead a group of technical specialists/scientists within a specialty/indication area consisting of one or two reporting levels and act as interface to relevant functions and sections within the company
    • Influence the strategy of the function, drive innovation and provide context and direction for the science/technical area
    • Keep a high level of phytosanitary standard for each site and coordinate the strategy for the sites

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead, coach, mentor and develop teams of science professionals and/or experts to advance technical knowledge
    • Solve complex problems addressing business needs
    • Lead and mentor complex development projects
    • Allocate resource within the group and work within defined budgets.
    • Contribute to the development, implementation and communication of the strategy
    • Provide scientific expertise in cross-functional project teams
    • Initiate new projects and design/implement more efficient processes
    • Provide constructive challenge to ensure scientific integrity and prioritization of work
    • Foster a culture of innovation; implement science & technology change within the organization
    • Ensure scientific integrity and prioritization through project reviews and challenge
    • Build and nurture an internal and external scientific network and manage external collaborations
    • Build strong relations with the government bodies like KEPHIS to make sure license for business operation continue without disruptions
    • Work on the long-term strategy and use of biologicals to overcome the challenge of losing AI`s in the production
    • Strictly guide and follow on the use of AI`s on each site to be align with all regulations
    • Work on developing key pest control strategy and create the connection to work with the wider organizational teams to create synergy and leverage opportunities.
    • Develop a good internal audit platform to make sure high level of standards are kept on Phyto, Crop Protection, and scouting activities
    • Ensure implementation of all policies and compliance with internal guidelines regarding Health, Safety and Environment.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Masters degree in crop protection/ plant Pathology
    • Degree in agriculture/or Botany or Horticulture
    • 5 or more years relevant experience
    • Good knowledge on legislation concerning phytosanitation
    • Proven hands on knowledge in common laboratory techniques for plant pathology and plant pests.
    • Production and plant protection/Phytosanitary experience.

    Site Manager

    Job Purpose:  

    To ensure secure Flowers Cutting production processes and ensure a reliable system is in place for sustainable performance from the employees and other assets to achieve the Company’s objective of delivering quality products on time and right quantity to our customers

    Key Responsibilities

    • Directs and Guides functional leaders in execution of responsibilities for cost, volume, people and quality management for continuous and sustainable business operations.
    • Sets targets and evaluates performance as the Company’s policy for the management team to achieve overall business objectives.
    • Ensures sourcing of required resources for assets acquisitions and replacements in a cost-effective manner in order to produce for each season according to the forecast and quality
    • Maintains the Site master plan & ensures implementation of short and midterm investment plans as per strategy to achieve targeted objectives
    • Reviews and approves site budget and latest estimates to ensure reasonableness of the annual estimates in meeting business objectives
    • Manages the budget and handle communications with regional flower controllers to ensure changes to the budget are agreed and aligned
    • Ensures detailed reports of events, business activities, investment progress, corporate social responsibilities and financial reports are prepared and distributed to various stakeholders
    • Establishes reviews and sustains communication lines with the seeds and flowers global managers, Global research teams and the local teams
    • Ensures maintenance of industrial peace in the organization and handles relevant stakeholders
    • Implements and maintains integrity and security of company assets and personnel
    • Oversees compliance to local and international regulations.

    Requirements

    • Masters Degree in a relevant field
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/Horticulture
    • 7 years’ experience as a manager in leading multi-disciplinary and multicultural teams and or department
    • Knowledge of Horticulture business, production and logistics
    • Project planning and financial control and procedures
