    Chief Officer, Education, Culture, Libraries and Social Services

    The Chief Officer shall be an accounting and authorized officer for the department of Education, Culture, Libraries and Social Services. The Chief Officer shall be responsible to the respective County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for department of Education, Culture, Libraries and Social Services.

    Requirements for Appointment

    • Must be a Kenyan citizen;
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Vocational Education, Social Science or Information Science or related discipline from an institution recognized in Kenya;
    • A Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Vocational Education, Social Science, Information Science or related discipline from an institution recognized in Kenya will be an added advantage;
    • Membership to relevant professional body will be an added advantage;
    • Have at least ten (10) years relevant professional experience, five (5) years of which should have been in a leadership position or at a Senior Management level in the public service or private sector;
    • Must have attended a management course from a recognized institution in Kenya;
