    Sales and Marketing Manager

    Our client is one of the largest manufacturing companies in East Africa. They now seek to recruit a dynamic, exceptional and visionary leader with good professional and ethical standing to fill the position of the Sales & Marketing Manager.

    Description

    He / She will be reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services and be expected to provide strategic leadership and advice to ensure optimal utilization and management of the Company’s resources in Sales & Marketing.

    He/She shall accomplish business development activities by researching and developing Sales & marketing opportunities and plans; implementing sales plans and managing staff.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Achieves marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
    • Meets marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
    • Determines annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analyzing trends and results; establishing pricing strategies; recommending selling prices; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand.
    • Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.
    • Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
    • Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; coordinating new product development.
    • Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
    • Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
    • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
    • Accomplishes marketing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE

    • Must be a Kenyan Citizen
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with specialization in Sales and Marketing. Masters degree is an added advantage.
    • Must have at least seven (7) years cumulative work experience, four (4) of which should have been at Managerial level in a reputable organization.
    • Certificate in leadership course not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
    • Proficiency in computer applications.
    • Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
    • Must be compliant with the provisions of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya and avail clearance from KRA, HELB, EACC, CRB and Certificate of Good Conduct.
    • Must be a member of a professional body and in good standing.

    General Manager, Production

    Job Summary

    Our client is one of the largest manufacturing companies in East Africa. They now seek to recruit a dynamic, exceptional and visionary leader with good professional and ethical standing to fill the position of the General Manager, Production. He/ She will be reporting to the Managing Director.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and oversee the implementation of the production operations strategy tied to the Strategic plan;
    • Prepare and implement the approved production budget/plan in liaison with the Managing Director and the Executive Committee;
    • Spearhead research and development initiatives in the improvement of production standards, new products and cost effective production methods including plant improvement and reliability reviews;
    • Review and develop production methods and techniques to ensure proper utilization of resources;
    • Ensure continues improvement of performance in production operations in standards and production technologies to achieve planned goals and objectives efficiently;
    • Ensure production operations meet quality standards and enforce high standards for work place safety, environmental compliance, and legal compliance in the production process;
    • Coordinate plant maintenance to ensure preventive and corrective actions are timely taken and ensure plant availability to meet scheduled production targets;
    • Lead product realization process to ensure effective plant capacity utilization in production;
    • Prepare Board and Management production reports tied to Company’s performance;
    • Lead, manage develop capacity of the production team by creating an enabling working environment, enhancing team spirit and talent development in the technical capacity of the Company manpower;
    • Conduct annual Performance Evaluations with direct reports and ensure all employees under the reporting structure have their performance reviewed at least annually;

    QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE

    • Must be a Kenyan Citizen.
    • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: Electrical, Chemical, Textile, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering and Industrial Chemistry.
    • Master’s degree in any of the following fields, Business Administration, Electrical, Chemical, Textile Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Chemistry and Strategic Management.
    • High level of analytical and performance management skills.
    • Must have at least ten (10) years’ experience of which five (5) years should be in Senior Management Position in a reputable manufacturing organization.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to physically inspect plant equipment and the ability to work extended distances over unpaved terrain in all weather conditions.
    • Proficiency in computer applications.

    Job Description

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Initiate the formulation of administrative policies, systems and procedures for the organization;
    • Establish and maintain sound financial, human resource, administrative, ICT procedures in compliance with statutory regulations;
    • Participate in the preparation of Strategic plans;
    • Provide technical guidance on matters Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, Administration, ICT, Sales and Marketing and Strategy and Planning;
    • Co-ordination of directorate activities by providing responsible advice and counsel to the Company;
    • Management and coordination of Financial Services;
    • Prepare Board and Management/Statutory reports;
