General administrative efforts

• Front office management including managing customers / walk-ins ~ where they go, what they get, who they see, etc and managing in-bound calls
• Clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning and printing needed documents
• Coordinate office repairs and maintenance operations. This includes ensuring clean facility (periodic checks during the day) and helping with the office physical design and improvements
• Liaising with vendors to ensure service delivery as needed
• Management of Asset register
•  Inventory management
• Procurement and tracking of supplies 
•  Maintaining office filing systems
• Support other administration functions as required

JOB EXPERIENCE

• Business related degree 
• Ability to complete administrative work accurately and efficiently.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Product strategy / leadership - Work with Peach leadership and other stakeholders to co-create a product roadmap, based on reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas, etc. and then own the tactical implementation of this product roadmap, adjusting as necessary with changing business contexts or factors
• Management of product development cycle - Work collaboratively with engineering, sales, marketing, legal, and other stakeholders - internal and external - to scope needs, design product solutions, manage development and deployment, and iterate as needed
• Knowledge management - Maintain a deep theoretical and applied understanding of Peach’s business model and our decision-making factors, as well as the automobile market in Kenya / East Africa more broadly, and apply a data-driven approach to product-based decision-making; lead on product-related documentation and other relevant knowledge management efforts 
• People management - Managing the day to day efforts and outcomes of individuals directly involved in product development, including engineering and external service providers, as well as assessing talent needs and recruiting, hiring, and on-boarding of staff related to the Product team
• Other - When/how needed, contribute to the future of Peach Cars apart from tech / product development ~ help make and remake strategy and operations across the business units, problem-solving for challenges and acting thoughtfully but nimbly to take advantage of opportunities

JOB EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in product management, or related technical roles.
• 1 year of experience building and shipping technical products.
• Experience developing/launching products/technologies within one or more of the following: Cloud, SaaS, enterprise, internal tools, and/or supply chain networks.
• Experience managing day-to-day technical and design direction.
• Experience in one or more of the following: cloud infrastructure, SaaS, big data, security and privacy, development and operations, or artificial intelligence/machine learning.
• Experience managing a product team / product organisation 
• Knowledge of and practical experience in multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, Finance or Marketing.
• Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority

• Building and maintaining web applications: You will be responsible for creating and maintaining web applications, including user interfaces and interactive elements.

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript

• 3+ years of active experience as a front end  or full stack developer

JOB EXPERIENCE

• An MBA or other post graduate degree in a business related course
• The ideal candidate for this position should have proven experience in either consulting, venture capital, corporate finance, operational leadership, C-suite, or strong experience in project management, as these skills are critical to the success of the role

Roles and Responsibilities

Design, Develop and Maintain Infrastructure:

• Design and develop the back-end infrastructure using programming languages such as Python or DjangoREST
• Develop APIs, web services, and microservices to provide efficient communication between the front-end and back-end systems
• Design and implement scalable and reliable systems that can handle high traffic and large amounts of data
• Ensure the infrastructure meets operational capacity, security, and scalability requirements
• Respond to issues and troubleshoot problems with the infrastructure in a timely manner
• Continuously monitor and optimize system performance to provide the best possible user experience

Documentation

• Write clear, concise, and well-documented code and maintain documentation for the back-end infrastructure
• Work with other team members to ensure the documentation is up-to-date and accurate

Server Infrastructure

• Set up and maintain the server infrastructure on cloud platforms 
• Configure and deploy servers using the most optimal tools 
• Manage and maintain the server infrastructure to ensure high availability and scalability

Needs Assessments and Product Design

• Collaborate with product manager to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Provide insights and recommendations to the product team regarding the back-end infrastructure
• Work with the product team to design and implement new features and functionality
• Participate in user testing to ensure the back-end infrastructure meets user needs and expectations
