    Sales Associate

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Meet established sales targets, goals and quotas within the assigned territory.
    • Generate new leads every month.
    • Ensure that 80% of the new leads generated are converted.
    • Ensure 100% retention of the new customers’ month-on-month.

    Market & Customer Expansion

    • Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the assigned sales area.
    • Mapping and data collection to enable validation of a specific market territory.
    • Maintain contact with clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
    • Keep clear records of customer details in alignment with our client processes to ensure adherence.

    Support and operations 

    • Report any operational issues within their sales area.
    • Execute sales support processes to expedite the conversion of sales (FLR, issue GR forms, training, lease agreement signing).
    • Ensure 100% FLRs are conducted accurately.

    Qualifications

    • Diploma/ Degree in any related field of study
    • Demonstrated capacity to convince customers to purchase and demonstrable experience in handling multiple customer demands
    • Comfortable to work in informal settlements of Nairobi e.g. Mukuru kwa njenga, kwa reuben, Kibra, Korogocho, etc.
    • Above average communication skills and interpretation skills (English and Swahili required)
    • Good interpersonal skills, attentive to detail, and strong problem-solving.
    • Flexible and adaptable, ability to perform tasks without repeated instructions, demonstrate sound work ethics.

    Senior Associate - Audit, MEC,Reporting & Tax

     

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Prepare Inter-company billing and reconciliation schedules
    • Maintaining audit schedules and ensuring they are submitted to auditors on request
    • Monthly VAT and other tax filings
    • Inventory management - managing stock counts and inventory valuation in the system.
    • Maintain the fixed assets register and physical verification of fixed Assets
    • Prepare ledger reconciliations and other month-end close procedures
    • Analyze ledger accounts and prepare summary reports on cause of the variances month on month
    • Review Internal Controls and propose improvements
    • Assist Manager in conducting internal audits of accounting processes and adherence to procedures
    • Other ad hoc tasks as may be called upon

    Qualifications

    • BCOM degree (Accounting,Finance)
    • A minimum of CPA 2 or it's equivalent 
    • 1-2 years’ experience in a busy Accounting/Audit environment
    • Tax Experience: WTAX and VAT
    • Advanced excel knowledge a MUST
    • Be an excellent team player/collaborator with excellent communication skills
    • Have demonstrated the ability to act decisively and resolve problems

    Grants & Partnerships Officer

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Fundraising: 

    • Generate leads, identify co-funding partners, analyze opportunities, pitch ideas and develop internal stakeholder buy-in to go after opportunities.
    • Work with R&D to identify and develop opportunities based on the R&D research roadmap to develop new waste-derived products.
    • Craft strong business rationale and a tailored message to partners and funders. Communicate strategic initiatives and vision to inspire and convince partners to support the organization financially and technically. 
    • Plan and manage the entire proposal development process for identified funding opportunities, working closely with the Operational teams and Finance team to develop high quality funding applications. This includes developing narrative, budgets, log frames and theory of change in accordance with funder guidelines.

    Grant Management:

    • Build strong, open and collaborative relationships with funders
    • Ensure all relevant team members are fully briefed on the terms and conditions of funders agreements/contracts, including Monitoring and Evaluation requirements and key deadlines.  
    • Gather information from Operational teams, prepare narrative reporting and liaise with partners with regular high quality updates. Ensure reporting requirements for all funders are met and reports are completed to deadlines.  
    • Support due diligence processes, facilitate funder audits and coordinate with Operational teams and Finance team on external evaluations. 
    • Produce internal reports and conduct reviews on the performance and progress of fundraising against agreed financial targets and annual objectives. 
    • Organize and lead site visits with funders.

    Others:

    • Build networks and strategic partnerships locally. 
    • Expertly speak on behalf of the organization to funders and visitors.
    • Support other areas of business development as required in the organizational strategy, especially to improve business development tools and impact reporting.

    Qualifications

    • 2 years of experience and proven track record in building partnerships, particularly with institutional funders.
    • Highly organized and able to follow through and prioritize tasks.
    • An highly effective communicator at all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written skills and a willingness to share information; required fluency in English.

    • Ensure 100% collections of monthly service fee payments
    • Report any operational issues within their sales area

    • Ensure 100% repayment of all monthly service fees
    • Ensure 100% FLRs are conducted accurately

    Qualifications

    • Minimum qualification – KCSE Form 4 completed, a diploma in sales is an added advantage
    • 2+ years’ experience working in a business, organization or youth group set up
    • Must be living within the region or willing to relocate at own cost (This role is based in Eldoret)
    • Must have a proven track record of high performance in pervious employment or assignments
    • Must be fluent English and Kiswahili
