    Director, Economic Management

    Key Responsibilities 
    Duties and responsibilities will entail: -

    • Providing technical leadership in research, policy analysis, and capacity building programmes; 
    • Ensuring timely preparation of relevant and innovative annual work plans and inputs to the performance contract; 
    • Ensuring timely and efficient implementation of work plans and conduct semi and annual appraisals of staff in the directorate; 
    • Enforcing the quality control process as Established by the Institute; 
    • Motivating staff in the directorate and Ensuring teamwork as well as a good working environment; 
    • Ensuring the directorate generates income to the Institute as per the set targets; 
    • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders including 
    • policymakers and implementers, development partners, and other research institutions; 
    • Providing advice to the Executive Director on a regular basis on ways to improve directorates’ performance; 
    • Reviewing all research outputs from the directorate to ensure they are in line with the Institute’s mandate; 
    • Overseeing the Directorate’s dissemination activities calendar; 
    • Overseeing project planning, budgeting, and implementation in the Directorate; 
    • Coordinating capacity building activities and partnerships in the Institute; 
    • Supervising the implementation of the Young Professional program and other staff capacity building initiatives; 
    • Monitoring the implementation of the work plan and contracted projects; 
    • Preparing of the quarterly and annual reports for management, Board, 
    • Performance contracting, and donors; and 
    • Coordinating resource mobilization strategies and activities for the Institute. 

    Qualifications 
    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in economics or related social sciences from a recognized institution; 
    • Master’s degree in Economics, or related social sciences from a recognized institution; 
    • PhD in Economics, or related social sciences from a recognized institution; 
    • Twelve (12) years of relevant experience 3 of which in Senior Management; 
    • Knowledge statistical software for data entry, analysis, extraction, and reporting; 
    • Minimum of eight (8) publications in peer-reviewed journals; 
    • Minimum of twelve (12) research papers including KIPPRA discussion papers, policy papers, 
    • working papers, special papers as well as book chapters; 
    • Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution; 
    • Training in Modeling will be an added advantage; 
    • Computer Skills including statistical packages; and 
    • Fulfil the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution

    Director, Integrated Development

    Director, Corporate Services

    Key Responsibilities 
    Duties and responsibilities will entail: -

    • Overseeing the Human Resource and Administration, Finance, Corporate Communications and 
    • Information Communication Technology management in the Institute; 
    • Formulating, interpreting, and implementing human resource, finance, corporate communications, and information communication technology policies, strategies, and programs; 
    • Responsible for the prudent management and utilization of all the resources under the above departments; 
    • Responsible for the development of a master strategy and business continuity management of the Directorate; 
    • Responsible for the implementation of the Institute’s resolutions on matters affecting the 
    • departments under his or her oversight role; 
    • Responsible for the consolidation of the departmental procurement plans and budgets; 
    • Responsible for teamwork and collaboration among the various departments under his or her supervision; 
    • Coordinate the preparation of respective board papers for Finance and Human 
    • Resource Board committees; 
    • Ensuring efficient, effective, professional, and sustainable human resource and administrative systems within the Institute; and 
    • Responsible for the development and implementation of the strategies of the respective departments. 

    Qualifications 
    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Business Administration, Human 
    • Resource Management, Commerce, Accounting, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; 
    • Masters of Business Administration degree or in any of the following fields; Human Resource 
    • Management, Commerce or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; 
    • A minimum period of twelve (12) years relevant work experience eight (8) should be at management level; 
    • Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks cumulative from a recognized institution; 
    • Professional qualification and membership to a professional body where applicable; 
    • Computer application skills; and 
    • Fulfill the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution.

    Corporation Secretary
