    Wealth Advisor

    The Position

    The Wealth Advisor will assist in the development and growth of Wealth Management business through all sales channels in the KCB Bank group to meet budget annual revenue targets by effectively driving all internal and external sales teams. He/she will make sure that the organizational footprint in the market is prominent and in turn generate sales and revenue by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products & services. 

    Key Responsibilities

    • Take responsibility for the business performance and delivery of set targets for KCB Capital Limited by providing effective leadership, motivation, marketing support and technical assistance to Branches and selected Relationship Managers.
    • Leverage key marketing initiatives being undertaken by the bank and KCB Capital Limited in the region while working closely with the branch management teams to spot opportunities for KCB Capital Limited Wealth business.
    • To ensure a planned and systematic growth in Wealth revenue generation through sales strategies, branch and direct sales channels in the Bank network. 
    • Maintain strong working relationships with the bank branch managers for acquisition of new investment customers. 
    • Function as point of contact for customer support and ensure queries are resolved in a timely and professional manner. 
    • To liaise with department heads and sales managers of sales channels in the bank and work towards a planned and sustainable growth of Wealth business throughout the region. 
    • To guide KCB Capital Limited Wealth team, sales, direct sales, and branch channel teams to cross sell opportunities across departments and KCB group. 
    • To build an effective sales culture and a Multi-product sales environment in the team through strong sales and relationship management principles and practices. 
    • Direct marketing to certain clients and co-marketing with Relationship Managers Deliver solutions/proposals which lead to action by clients Promote higher share of wallet from clients. 
    • To formulate sales and marketing plans/strategies on a monthly and annual basis. Formulate sales budgets, sales presentation in the designated branches/ regions. 

    The Person

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • Must have a University Degree preferably in a Business related field.
    • 3 years’ progressive experience preferably in financial markets.
    • 3 years’ experience in business development
    • 2 years’ experience in sales force management.
    • Knowledge of Investment Banking products, financial services sales processes, the data protection act, latest market trends as well as challenges.
    • Sound technical understanding of the regulatory/operating environment with respect to the Capital Markets Authority and financial services
    • Sound understanding of Wealth Management and knowledge of internal business controls.
    • Demonstrable cross-cultural, people/stakeholder/executive relationship management skills, team motivation and leadership competence

    Integration Specialist

    The Position

    The Integration Specialist will be responsible for the overall availability, stability, scalability and security of the KCB integration landscape including KCB Red Hat OpenShift Cluster (OCP), API Managements, ESB Platform, and its suite of products and other integration services deployed within the bank.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide support for all Middleware/integration platforms and/or java container related issues and triage application issues as related to the J2EE container.
    • Participate and guides in development, deployment, maintenance, and management of best-in-class enterprise systems & integration platforms for business-partner integrations and by third-party applications and services.
    • Implementing high availability, fault tolerant strategies, and load balancing based on Integration platforms of products capabilities.
    • Manage middleware environments and provide support to application support and business teams. The job holder will also participate in quality assurance activities for integration related solutions before they are transitioned to production.
    • Work independently and collaboratively with other support teams to troubleshoot integration platforms, server performance issues and tune the environment based on findings to achieve desired outcomes.
    • Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, assist in the collection and documentation of user’s requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.
    • Provide detailed incident reports and root cause analysis and suggest workarounds / interventions and/or solutions for recurring issues affecting Middleware applications. Continuously devise or modify procedures to solve complex and recurrent problems and maintaining a knowledge base of the known problems and solutions.
    • Periodic or adhoc patching of the middleware application environments - applying maintenance updates such as fix packs to the broker/integration nodes and ensuring the whole environment is up to date in relation to patching.
    • Monitoring all Middleware application environments - transactions, services, files transfers, operating system, database health and the environment in general and issue periodic consumable health status of the environment.
    • Manage/action service requests raised directly or escalated to the middleware & integration support team and within the pre-determined SLA
    • Document and implement integration service development governance and standards. This includes API standards, DevOps practices and cloud adoption. Coordinate releases of new products and services into production, ensure alignment of all stakeholders, review runbooks and change work instructions to ensure deployment as per plan while achieving non-functional and operational requirements.
    • Maintain an up to date detailed configuration matrix for all middleware services and the integration landscape / environment.
    • Provide input and implement a disaster recovery plan with run book and periodic planning for disaster recovery tests. Perform backup and recovery of the Middleware applications, and effectively support resolution of any post recovery issues. Maintaining the DR environment in ready state. In collaborations with other teams invoke fail over activities to the DR.

    The Person

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ or related field.
    • A Professional Certification in Middleware or Integration.
    • 5 years’ experience in Technology
    • 4 years’ experience in Redhat Integrations, [ESB - SOA and web services concepts] and integration technologies coupled with complementary areas of knowledge.
    • 4 years’ experience with messaging systems preferably RedHat MQ, AMQ, IBM MQ and messaging concepts and technologies.
    • 3 years’ experience with DevSecOps, and CI/CD automation tools such as Jenkins, JMeter, Git, Stash, SonarQube, GitOps.
    • 2 years’ experience in RDBMS working with large and high-performance databases such as Oracle, Mongo DB.
    • Knowledge of Java, J2EE, XML, Redhat Openshift.

    Analyst – Advisory

    The Position

    The Analyst-Advisory will provide support to the Head, Advisory Business in the origination, execution, and closure of transactions. S/He will lead the Analyst team and ensure accuracy and sanctity of models, reports, proposals and any other documents prepared by the team.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Analysing and synthesizing financial and operating information about companies and sectors to gain insights and develop opportunities for clients.
    • Building detailed financial models in support of debt and equity investment banking transactions.
    • Perform valuation analyses using various methodologies including discounted cash flow and market multiples.
    • Originating development of marketing materials in support of client presentations.
    • Drafting client deliverables such as information memoranda and term sheets.
    • Participating in the execution of investment banking transactions by developing responsive and innovative transaction structures in support of investment banking transactions.
    • Undertaking detailed economic, sectorial and company research and analysis in support of investment banking transactions.
    • Attend client meetings in support of origination and execution of investment banking transactions.

    The Person

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following

    • University Degree in Economics, Business, Accounting or any related or numeracy focused field from a recognized institution
    • Minimum of 4 years in Financial Analysis, Business Valuation, Transaction Structuring and Financial Modelling
    • Must demonstrate excellent Research and Analytical skills
    • Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools

    Sustainability Manager

    The Position:

    The Sustainability Manager will coordinate, implement, and execute activities of KCB Group Sustainability Strategy as outlined by various policies, frameworks, and strategy tool. The issues include climate change programs, resource efficiency and conservation, waste management, environmental and social governance, and green economy.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Implement, monitor, and evaluate progress of the KCB Group Sustainability management strategy and programmes as envisioned in the KCB Green Agenda.
    • Coordinate implementation of sustainable organizational policies, processes, or practices.
    • Train, implement and integrate Social and Environmental Management Systems (SEMS) into the business process in credit, corporate and retail. Design and implement awareness programmes for employees and other stakeholders which include e-learning.
    • Coordinate and support internal business stakeholders in the implementation of sustainability initiatives.
    • Develop and implement methodologies, procedures to assess, evaluate and monitor the viability or success of sustainability initiatives and programs.
    • Research on emerging environmental sustainability issues, concerns, or stakeholder interests and advise the business appropriately.
    • Prepare communication plans for the Group`s sustainability initiatives and strategies in line to the international best practices to various key Bank`s stakeholders, they include campaigns etc.
    • Manage the sustainability reporting process for annual report and integrated reporting.
    • Implement and manage the bank’s sustainability database and knowledge management.
    • Review sustainability program objectives, progress, or status to ensure compliance with policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
    • Identify and coordinate sustainability partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
    • Prepare communication materials for the bank in appropriate forums for purposes of learning, exposure and sharing.
    • Propose and evaluate pilot projects or programs to enhance the Group`s sustainability agenda which will Identify opportunities for green initiatives.
    • Assess and evaluate feasible international and regional frameworks and principles for sign up to aid Group`s sustainability positioning.

    The Person

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
    • A professional certification in sustainability.
    • 7 years’ experience in sustainability programs.
