    Network Transport Planning Engineer

    Region:                   Nairobi

    Reporting to:        Manager Network Transport Planning

    Band:                       2.2

    Department:          Technology Division

    Role Purpose

    The incumbent will be responsible for IP and fibre Networks, modelling, planning, design and optimization of reliable transmission systems in support of fixed services and mobile services back haul requirements.

    Working For Us, We Expect You To:

    • Preparing bill of quantities for network relocations, rehabilitation and project proposals
    • Ensuring availability of materials for on-going projects
    • Design and implementation of main backbone Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) trunk networks
    • Design of branch distribution optic fiber cable links i.e. exchange/node to exchange/node OFC links (Metro, FTTB and FTTH implementation.
    • Constantly updating and maintain the company’s’ master plan for fixed access networks.
    • Drawing / amending / updating TKL Network diagrams
    • Plan and Design Transmission, IP and fibre Networks –Microwave, DWDM, SDH,IP and fibre
    • Transmission/IP network optimization
    • Frequency Management

    Academic background & Professional Knowledge:

    • Holder of BSC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Telecommunication or related course
    • Have at least at least 3 years’ experience in IP/transmission or fiber planning

    • Outside plant engineering technique
    • Project Management
    • Way leave acquisition
    • Proficient in MapInfo, Google Earth/Map,AutoCAD, GIS

    Senior Manager-OCS & VAS

    Reporting to:        Head of Service Platforms

    Role Purpose

    The incumbent will be responsible for the planning, operations and maintenance of OCS & VAS platforms. This is a key role in the overall execution of the Technology strategy and will require a multi-disciplinary approach where financial; customer & internal processes and people management come together.

    Academic background & Professional Knowledge:

    • Holder of Engineering Degree or any related field
    • Have at least 8-10 years’ experience in the design, implementation, operation and maintenance of billing and messaging platforms.
    • 3-5 years experience in the design, implementation, operation and maintenance of mobile operator platforms and technologies
    • 3-5 years management experience and leading teams
    • Thorough grounding in telecommunications grade hardware & software platforms, integration management, network design & implementation, operation and maintenance methods and procedures.
    • Extensive knowledge of prepaid and postpaid charging, data, messaging and other value added services, and relevant standards and best practices in these domains.
    • Hands on experience with mobile money, payments and banking.

    Product Manager

    Reporting to:        Head of Products & Solutions

    Department:          Enterprise Division 

    Role Purpose

    To conceptualize and develop the Enterprise product and service offerings through innovation and evolution of current and new products and services to increase the customer experience, acquisition and retention. To ensure that the products and services are functioning according to the business specifications as well as to plan and execute the implementation roadmap up to market release ready.

    Academic background & Professional Knowledge

    • Relevant Business degree in Business, IT or any related field
    • Have experience of between 3-6 years mostly in Marketing Management, Customer Lifecycle management, Product Development,
    • Having worked in a Telco environment is highly desirable

    IT CRM analyst

    Reporting to:        Manager Customer Support Systems

    Band:                       2.1

    Department:          Technology Division 

    Role Purpose

    The incumbent will be required to administer and support CRM applications. In addition he/she will liaise with the business to ensure expectations are met on time. He/she also will provide analytical and technical support to the entire business in the form of presentations, reports, special projects, data analysis, and distribution of information from the CRM and other systems. He /she will also be required to address organizational information problems and requirements by analyzing requirements; designing computer programs and IT processes; recommending system controls and protocols.

    Working For Us, We Expect You To:

    • Serve as the in-house CRM analyst
    • Spearhead cross-functional CRM task force across all departments to help them maintain accurate and uniform documentation of all Customer records in the CRM system
    • Carry out Data audit on a regular basis to ensure clean data for use across all areas of the organization
    • Provide timely insights and analytical support to different internal business stakeholders (including sales, marketing and other departments) to support effective business decision-making
    • Working with Business teams to create campaigns that harness the abilities of the CRM (e.g. promotions).
    • Generating and communicating relevant reports for users, e.g. reporting on different campaigns and income streams using data provided by the CRM
    • System administration of CRM systems by ensuring system and user configurations are set up correctly & training of users.
    • Document CRM systems processes/systems and ensure they are up to date.
    • Perform troubleshooting, first/second level support and resolution of issues with respective system vendors.
    • Involvement in system design and assess the effectiveness of technology resources already in use or new systems that are being implemented
    • Redundancy and back up management - ensuring redundancy for BI and Mediation are backed up and that backup system is available and working.

    Academic background & Professional Knowledge

    • Holder of Computer Science or Information Technology degree or any related field
    • Qualification in Programming (C#, Java, PHP, Android) / Databases (Oracle, MYSQL, PostgreSQ and SQL) & Qualification in ITIL /E-TOM.
    • At least 3 years background in IT with specialization in Telecommunication CRM applications
    • Proficient in Unix & Microsoft OS, Unix Scripting, programming and Relational Databases
    • Experience in documenting processes and system architectures
    • Proven experience in implementation of projects with regards to Customer Support applications
