    Graphic Designer & Creative Strategy

    Job Objective

    The position holder will be responsible for entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts, social media output, and photos for internal and external communications for Asante Financial Services Group. He/she will shape the visual aspects of all internal engagements, websites, social media, company profiles, publications, newsletters, branded merchandise and other promotional items.

    This individual should be able to create graphics that strategically speak to the brand and capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. He/she is required to have a creative flair, a strategic output and a strong ability to translate requirements into design, communicate well and work methodically with the team.

    Functional Responsibilities

    • Design internal communications for the group for email broadcast, staff newsletter and WhatsApp
    • Creation of templates for internal use – staff ID, email signatures, business cards, PowerPoint templates and others where needed.
    • Design and layout of company documentation- company profiles, corporate packs, presentation templates for the group and ensure that they’re up to date
    • Develop creative material for staff engagement that reads to the brand values and engages staff.
    • Create and facilitate production of branded merchandise and promotional items for the Group
    • Create on trend and shareable engaging content for social media, and all other digital media outlets
    • Work with all of Asante FSGs partners to create co-branded material that is appealing, engaging and converts.
    • Liaise with marketing agency where applicable to ensure that there is brand cohesion at every touch point.
    • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
    • Work with IT team to keep the Pronto App continuously on trend and on brand and relaying the same on all online platforms.
    • Thinking creatively and strategically to produce innovative ideas and concepts and developing interactive design with time and budget constraints
    • Proofreading all our communication to ensure we produce accurate and high-quality work
    • Work closely with the content creator and IT to design, develop and update the company websites.
    • Support products and business development in pitch material and collateral designs where needed.
    • Raise all approved marketing design related invoices and liaise with the Finance Department for timely payment.
    • Custodian of all brand collateral

    Minimum Job Qualifications Requirement (Academic, training, languages, etc.)

    1. A degree in Marketing, Communications, Fine Arts any business-related field, with a portfolio of graphics and illustrations
    2. Experience working with all design tools: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
    3. 3-5 years’ experience ideally gained in a Marketing & Communications department, Media or Marketing Agency
    4. Expertise in all major business software applications and digital marketing tools
    5. Proven editorial skills. Outstanding command of the English (or primary customer) language
    6. Excellent IT and Design skills, especially with design software and technologies (such as Illustrator, Photoshop etc)

    Minimum Work Experience:

    • A portfolio of work highlighting your successes as a graphic designer.
    • Experience as a graphic designer or related field in agency or corporate
    • Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign Quark, and Illustrator

    Social Media & Content Executive

    Job Objective

    You are deeply passionate about all things social media and giving shape to new ideas, while also helping them take hold and inspire action. Well-versed in both business and cultural conversations, you are also familiar with the international development and social impact sectors and a voracious consumer of news media.

    In parallel, you have a proven track record of growing social media following and spearheading initiatives that lead to greater audience engagement and overall interest, in line with organizational social media strategies and goals. You are a global thinker and collaborator with a keen eye for design, excellent short- and long-form writing skills, able to comfortably switch between quick, punchy social media posts and longer, explanatory pieces.

    Sound judgment, commitment, persistence, and optimism define the way you approach your work, along with a deep curiosity about what makes ideas spread. You thrive in pilot mode, with an inherent desire to prototype and iterate until an effective solution is reached.

    Functional Responsibilities

    • Experience identifying, sourcing, writing, editing, and publishing nuanced, on-brand content across social media channels (e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram) for service-oriented organizations or brands
    • Experience regularly reporting on analytics across all social media channels and suggesting ways to optimize and grow
    • Community management experience (e.g. social media engagement and listening)
    • Demonstrated ability to grow social media following and create engaging, multi-format campaigns, with the ability to identify and reach relevant or new audiences in meaningful ways
    • Deep experience with social media scheduling (Hootsuite) and content management (Airtable) tools
    • Experience with growing App downloads, usage and referral.
    • Ability to measure App downloads and usage through various tools such as Apps flyer.
    • Experience in the use and manipulation of a CRM to create and drive campaigns for brand usage.
    • Experience developing and managing partner- and client-ready social media toolkits
    • Experience developing and managing paid ad campaigns on social media platforms
    • Experience creating design briefs for social media assets (graphics, GIFs, video, Instagram or LinkedIn stories), selecting on-brand visual assets for social (e.g. from internal photo databases, Shuttersock, Unsplash) and managing in-house or external design resources
    • Deep knowledge of social media trends and a thirst for emerging social media technology
    • Strong written and editorial skills across multiple formats, including impeccable English grammar and editing skills, and a sharp editorial eye
    • Familiarity with issues in the international development and social impact sectors
    • Demonstrates professionalism, sound judgement, and strong alignment with Asante FSGs mission
    • Experience and confidence interacting with senior stakeholders
    • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines
    • Demonstrated passion for development-related issues, including economic development, MSME in Africa, finance and tech.
    • Acute sensitivity to the evolving political and cultural environment of international public agencies and other complex organizations
    • Awareness of news cycles related to the development space.
    • Serve as the day-to-day lead for Asante’s social media channels, including sourcing input and content ideas for posts across multiple channels and then developing compelling, ready-to-publish on-brand copy
    • Support the development and refinement of Asante’s social media strategy in collaboration with senior Asante leaders
    • Manage social media-focused partnerships with key clients and organizations, including the coordination of social media campaigns and development of social media toolkits
    • Identify and develop visuals and graphics for social media posts in close collaboration with in-house and external graphic designers
    • Work closely with Growth lead to align to Asante’s targets and growth plans.
    • Community management (e.g. engagement and social listening)
    • Analytics reporting as part of daily, weekly, and monthly workflow
    • Work in close collaboration with the PR Partner and a network of select contractors
