    Uber Eats Operations Coordinator (GR, Direct, UEE)

    About the role. 

    Our client is looking for a passionate, committed, and flexible Operations Coordinator to drive the success of their business in Kenya. The Operations Coordinator will work with a stellar operations team on the daily functions that are at the core of Uber Eats, develop practical solutions, and deliver changes for immediate business impact, while also supporting analytical needs across the business. The right candidate will be creative, analytical, excellent in planning, operational management, and execution, skilled in project management, passionate about every detail of retail, and ready to roll up their sleeves.

    As an Ops Coordinator for Uber GR (Grocery & Retail), Uber Direct and Uber Eats Everywhere (UEE) in Kenya you’ll support Lead in driving our last-mile delivery strategy in Kenya

    Uber GR (Grocery & Retail) is a fast-growing business within Uber Eats that enables consumers to get just about anything delivered through the Uber Eats app (non-food). 

    What you'll do.

    Data analysis.

    • Create tools for analysis: You will scale new and existing processes to allow the business to efficiently utilize data for decision making.
    • With the help of Uber's rich dataset, you will need to monitor market performance, understand our customer challenges, and always look for ways to improve the operations and find risks that may have a meaningful impact on the business.
    • Build, document and scale world-class decision-making reports that will help optimize the marketplace

    Stakeholder and Project Management.

    • Drive optimisation and marketplace efficiency by helping execute on strategic operations.
    • You'll be working closely with the Account Executive, Operation and Commercial (local, regional, and global) teams to improve both Merchants and Courier (delivery person) experience.
    • Supervise KPIs (identifying gaps/ opportunities), develop practical solutions and deliver changes for immediate business impact.

    Operational Support.

    • In the role you will assist with live support aspects of the partner journey, as well as working alongside the Ops teams to improve operations in order for the business to grow.
    • Be the operational glue that holds together major team efforts for strategic partnerships.
    • Constantly seeking solutions for our new business lines (Uber Direct, Uber GR and Uber Eats Everywhere). Your processes and projects will directly contribute to the business growth

    Basic Qualifications.

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a commercial/ technical field.
    • Experiences in Startup, Consulting, Operations, Logistics, or other relevant fields.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset and pro-activity, ability to own end-to-end projects from strategic thinking to getting things done.
    • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a fast-moving working environment.
    • (Experience working closely and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a constantly evolving environment with tight deadlines)
    • Robust analytical & critical thinking skills, experience with data-driven decision-making.
    • Passion for problem solving. You are curious to understand the why behind pain points and work to ensure the issue is solved. Proven experience in proactively identifying urgent issues and quickly acting on them.
    • Full business proficiency in English.

    Customer Growth Coordinator

    About the role. 

    The Customer Growth Coordinator will support the Kenyan business and customer team by coordinating all the growth activities across the Kenyan business, running post campaign analysis on the different initiatives, working with the local and regional CRM teams to manage comms, support the creative and data driven ideas for our growth initiatives and help create and coordinate the development of the assets for local campaigns. This role requires a creative and data driven individual, that will run experiments to understand the impact of specific initiatives on the marketplace.

    This role calls for a combination of communication and stakeholder management skills, data driven thinking, and the interpersonal ability to work with teams across the business. Further, as Uber Eats remains a fast-paced environment, we are looking for a highly adaptable candidate who can switch between long-term strategic initiatives one moment and pivot into rapid, tactical actions the next.  

    What you'll do.

    • Improve or innovate new processes by identifying operational areas of improvement to keep the customer team as efficient as possible.
    • Coordinate projects that leverage data to develop an in-depth understanding of our customers (compelling ‘stories’ and synthesized insights) and coordinate initiatives to generate demand for the business. Identify opportunity areas, influence cross-functional partners, and execute projects to deliver sustained and material growth.
    • Geo level growth initiatives, better to understand business context and market opportunity, surface gaps and opportunities, and develop business plans to build cross-functional alignment on actions to improve customer success and business growth.
    • Own post campaign analysis and communicate the outcomes / insights to various stakeholders to aid strategic decisions that lead to improved customer campaigns.
    • Understand, track, and improve metrics such as customer lifecycle, quality, and profitability.
    • Stakeholder management to assist coordination and alignment for promotions, acquisition, engagement, and re-engagement of customers

    Basic Qualifications.

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a commercial/ technical field.
    • Focus on business strategy, innovation, digital marketing, analytics.
    • Have experience working with diverse teams.
    • Have experience working on cross-functional projects.
    • Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, and exceptional organizational skills are essential.

    • Stakeholder Management: Engaging, informing, and gaining the support of various stakeholders. Taking time to build helpful relationships, earning the respect and trust of others within the organisation through strong emotional intelligence.
    • Planning & Organizing: Appropriately prioritising and planning of projects and/or tasks that maximise the benefit for the organisation. Setting up and maintaining systems to appropriately structure and keep track of tasks and projects.
    • Business Acumen Possessing a logical approach to assessing business impact of campaigns and marketing initiatives. Understanding and being fully aware of how our business operates and how it makes money and sustains profitable growth, now and in the future.
