    Repairs Technician

    The jobholder is responsible for ensuring swap stock availability by conducting technical repair and testing of the client’s faulty products returned to the warehouse, including smartphones and other assorted accessories.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Carrying out component analysis of relevant client products e.g. Smartphones
    • Carry out the initial screening and quality checks of all the client’s faulty devices to identify product failure reasons.
    • Carry out technical repairs of all client products using hand tools and power tools
    • Consistently advancing technical knowledge especially upon when new product entry and discovery of new fault codes.
    • Testing and inspecting products after repair to identify possible problems that could lead to future product failures.
    • Product refurbishment and “making new” of all repaired products before dispatch to retail outlets.
    • Maintaining equipment by performing regular maintenance checks, replacing parts, or performing repairs to repair equipment such as hand tools and power tools
    • Diagnosing problems with repair equipment and making recommendations for repair or replacement
    • Ensure accurate data capture and tracking of all repaired units, fault codes and resolutions in a timely manner.
    • Conducting periodic cycle counts and monthly stock count.
    • Adherence to set Kaizen 6S principles
    • Meet the daily set targets of repair products per day to ensure the required swap stock is availed

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Education: A minimum of Diploma in electronics engineering or relevant education
    • Experience: At least 1 year of professional experience in electronics engineering with relevant repairs experience
    • Ability to communicate technical information on a regular basis, both verbally and in writing
    • Well versed with the various systems, tools, and procedures used in testing & failure analysis
    • Experience in using or a desire to learn the required software.
    • Good attitude towards acquiring new knowledge
    • Able to work under pressure and tight datelines
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently
    • Good Interpersonal skills
    • Hands-On experience working with embedded systems

    Production Operator

    The jobholder uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts and is responsible for feeding raw materials into operating machines, making minor repairs, replacing parts, and testing finished materials for compliance while adhering to set quality control standards.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assembling smartphones on the assembly line according to drawings, instructions, or schematics.
    • Loading product pieces slated for assembly onto the line and packing assembled products into boxes for storage.
    • Inspecting assembled finished goods and troubleshooting any issues found during production for any faults or defects.
    • Reporting incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections on the assembly line to the supervisor.
    • Ensure that equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition.
    • Contribute to waste management programs aimed at zero defects.
    • Champions and practices 6S Kaizen principles
    • Following established safety and efficiency procedures to ensure that operations run smoothly.
    • Identify and report unsafe operations to the Supervisor immediately.
    • Maintain the work area clean, safe, and organized.
    • Work under the guidance of a supervisor to perform and complete the assigned duties on time.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Relevant Diploma or equivalent qualification.
    • Knowledge in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is an added advantage.
    • Good computer and IT skills.
    • At least 6 months to 1 year of work experience with working in an assembly line being an added advantage.
    • Good knowledge of Kaizen 6S Principles.
    • Understanding of production machinery and proper assembly procedures.
    • Excellent knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
    • Fast learner with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy pieces of equipment, as well as stand for hours at a time.
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a team.
    • Exceptional work ethic and integrity.

    Inventory Officer

    The jobholder is responsible for ensuring swap stock availability at the warehouse, by refurbishing and systems transfers of the client’s faulty products returned including smart phones, and other assorted accessories, to restore them to a sellable condition following set quality standards.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Carry out refurbishing of the client’s products by work such as painting, repairing, and cleaning.
    • Carry out system repairs and transfer of all repaired products in an accurate and timely manner and keep records of the refurbished products daily.
    • Packaging client products as part of ready-for sale process
    • Maintain accurate inventory records of all products handled by the team using the available inventory systems used by the team (e.g., Dynamics (Electronic Activity Book) B etc.)
    • Keep spare parts inventory, cycle count and reconciliation as well as raise requisitions for depleted stocks.
    • Attain proper waste management practices by disposing and keep records of all obsolete items.
    • Conduct periodic stock count of all client products in the warehouse.
    • Adherence to set Kaizen 6S principles.
    • Meet the daily set targets of refurbished products per day to ensure the required swap stock is availed

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Education: Basic skills in Inventory Systems (e.g., Dynamics 365 among others) and Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in Inventory systems and Microsoft applications
    • Good attitude towards acquiring new knowledge.
    • Able to work under pressure and tight datelines.
    • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
    • Good Interpersonal skills.
