    Assistant Bartender

    We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Assistant Bartender who will primarily be responsible for the smooth operation of the bar which include assisting in the preparation and serving of beverages, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the bar area, and providing excellent customer service to patrons with the highest possible professional standards with Tamarind Management Limited policies, procedures and standards established to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in preparing and mixing drinks according to recipes and customer preferences. This includes pouring and measuring ingredients accurately.
    • To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food & Beverage combinations and up-sell alternatives.
    • Up-sell or promote all specials advertised in the outlet as well promoting slow moving items.
    • Maintaining Expresso machines, grinder, coffee machine and other equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting and scheduling repairs.
    • Preparing and serving beverages such as coffee, espresso-based drinks , tea and other speciality drinks.
    • Ensure timely service and attend to any customer inquiries or concerns promptly.
    • Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking drink orders, and providing recommendations when necessary.
    • To handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to supervisors if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests.
    • Assist in monitoring beverage inventory levels and informing senior staff when supplies need to be replenished.
    • Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies, including responsible alcohol service practices.
    • Collaborate with other bar staff and servers to ensure efficient operations during peak hours.
    • Take opportunities to learn and improve your skills under the guidance of experienced bartenders.

    Qualifications and Skills.

    • A Diploma/Certificate in food and beverage service or related field.
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a bartender/ Barista
    • Possess excellent knowledge of and serving drinks with knowledge of alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages, in-mixing, garnishing and food pairings
    • Should have a wide scope of beverage knowledge and be able to mix and match ingredients in order to create classic and innovative drinks in accordance with customers’ needs and expectations.
    • Should possess’ ability to stay guest-focused, provide an excellent guest drinking experience and operate the point-of-sale register system.

    Assistant Restaurant Manager

    We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven assistant restaurant manager who will primarily be responsible for  the efficient and smooth operation of the restaurant with the highest possible professional standards with Tamarind Management Limited policies, procedures and standards established to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Control and maintain an inventory of all service equipment and accessories used in the restaurants in accordance with the established par levels.
    • Ensure guests are attended to in a timely manner, Monitoring costs, interact with guests and respond to their needs, assist in preparing reports on revenues and expenses of service.
    • Responsible for maintaining standards in the restaurant by ensuring hygiene controls, housekeeping and procedures are followed.
    • Conduct briefings on the special events, the specials on the menu, beverage specials, missing items and other occurrences of relevance.
    • Assign tasks to the station waiters, waiters and busmen.
    • Checks the cleanliness and condition of furniture, linen, cutlery, chinaware, glassware, condiments and other service accessories and takes appropriate corrective action where necessary.
    • Checks the personal appearance and grooming of service staff at the beginning of each service session.
    • Attends guests’ complaints and takes corrective action immediately and escalates where need be.
    • Ensures maximum cleanliness of the back areas and public areas before, during and after service.
    • Conduct training in all aspects of service techniques and operations.
    • Ensures that meals are served and presented in accordance with our standards operating procedures.
    • Ensures that procedures and controls set by management are followed and that there are no pilferages.
    • Liaison with admin/reservation desk to ensure all details of bookings are covered.
    • Enforces conformity to SOPs applicable to the restaurant.
    • Appointing, Inducting and mentoring new staff members.
    • Ensuring that the restaurant adheres to pertinent health, safety and sanitation regulations.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • A degree or diploma in hospitality or related field.
    • At least 5 years of experience with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Must be a problem solver who is firm and fair.
    • Must be a critical thinker.
    • Good computer skills for reporting and inventory management.

    Assistant Maintenance Supervisor

    We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Assistance Maintenance supervisor who will primarily be responsible for the corrective and preventive maintenance activities associated with the efficient operations of the maintenance department with the highest possible professional standards with Tamarind Management Limited policies, procedures and standards established to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure a safe working arena for Maintenance personnel and that safety standards are met in accordance with company policy, and County regulations.
    • Coordinate the daily and weekly operation of the Maintenance Department.
    • Work closely with the Maintenance personnel to ensure daily and weekly tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner
    • Works closely with other departmental personnel to maintain production equipment, electrical, gas, plumbing etc. in order to ensure that tasks are completed in a planned and coordinated fashion.
    • Understand maintenance cost drivers and promote cost effective solutions amongst maintenance personnel.
    • Assist and provide guidance to the Maintenance team to resolve HR related issues.
    • Assist Maintenance Manager in developing short to mid-term maintenance plans, ensures the highest planned work compliance.
    • Understand the knowledge, skills, and abilities of each maintenance employee in order to select, train, and provide guidance and inspiration through leadership and teamwork to ensure empowered work teams.
    • Review deficiencies noted during corrective maintenance, properly channel these issues toward execution.
    • Maintain and advise on the use and disposition of stock items and surplus items.
    • Consult with general artisans and craftworkers on technical problems.
    • Ensure proper tool availability in order to improve the maintenance efficiency
    • Assist Maintenance Manager in developing and executing major maintenance overhauls and outages

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
    • Experience in gas, plumbing, electrical and equipment repair.
    • Must have previous supervisory experience.
    • Effective communication skills to influence all levels of personnel and to create change.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability to influence safety practices and initiatives.
    • Ability to work as a team member with strong time management and record keeping skills.
    • Must have knowledge of industrial plant mechanical and welding concepts/applications.
    • Good written and oral communication skills.
    • Keen eye to details.
