    Business Development Regional Lead

    The responsibilities include:

    • Overseeing origination
    • Developing a strong network of investors, partners, co-developers, and others to support the origination and delivery of infrastructure projects in Africa • Managing initial enquiries from potential partners and co-developers
    • Overseeing the drafting of Internal Development Committee (IDC) screening papers
    • Overseeing all due diligence activities, with a specific focus on project design, budget, timeline, and partners
    • Ensuring the appropriate reviews and input have been secured before submitting the project to the IDC and PIDG Investment Committee (IC)
    • Leading development of a portfolio of projects
    • Providing ongoing support to BD Analysts and BD Managers as they develop projects, directly leading the development of projects as needed
    • Building rewarding relationships with stakeholders including governments, communities, developers, advisers, investors, and contractors
    • Structuring and negotiating all commercial terms of InfraCo’s involvement at or beyond financial close
    • Troubleshooting and contributing to development activities on projects as required
    • Managing the company’s sale and/or exit from a project at or before financial close
    • Challenging and shaping project plans and budgets to accurately forecast InfraCo’s disbursements
    • Presenting at conferences and other events to showcase InfraCo’s work
    • Line management
    • Safeguard health, safety and wellbeing of reports
    • Set clear objectives and manage performance against these throughout the year
    • Identify and address skills and knowledge gaps within the team, coaching junior members of staff
    • Protect and enhance InfraCo Africa’s reputation

    Operations Manager

    THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE ROLE ARE:

    • Assist & Support the Managing Director and management team in setting goals that promote company/region growth
    • Manage regional farm operations based on company policies, goals, and objectives to ensure an efficient working environment and that deadlines are met consistently
    • Oversees the daily activity of the farms, staff, and direct/indirect overheads in their area
    • Prepares budgets, schedules, and other organizational reports as needed
    • Manages team workloads to meet goals and deadlines
    • Develops plans to increase efficiency and reduce costs
    • Improves existing systems and policies
    • Ensures customer requirements are met promptly
    • Promotes and enforces safety in the workplace
    • Manages stock and inventory
    • Works closely with other departments to promote efficient farm / regional optimization
    • Identifies improvement areas and plans and implements systems to boost region effectiveness
    • Manages internal and external service suppliers

    • Identifying opportunities to streamline business processes and systems
    • Defining performance management KPIs to monitor operational success against objectives
    • Establishing a culture of continuous business improvement
    • All aspects of the day-to-day management of the operations team

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

    • Prior experience as operations manager required; 5 - 10 years demonstrable senior operations experience required
    • Experience in handling and working in multi-site operations with good project management skills being able to structure a plan, marshal resources, work within a team, and deliver on commitments
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills and an ability to communicate complex business ideas
    • Previous experience working for a company within the industry or from a similar business
    • Commercial awareness with an eye for seeing business improvement opportunities
    • Leading, managing, and developing both individuals and the team through effective communication and mentoring
    • Self-driven, reliant and motivated, being energetic and positive in outlook with the hands-on and energetic approach in seeing things through to completion
    • Highly motivated with a passion for driving operational business change.
    • Ability to demonstrate exceptional organization and planning Skills
    • Adaptable to change
    • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills: persuasive and with the gravitas to gain confidence at board level
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Highly numerate and computer literate

    • Ability to work as part of a dynamic team.
