    Purchase Executive-Kenya

    • We are hiring for the role of Purchase Executive for the reowned steel manufacturing Industries based out at Kenya location

    Roles And Responsibilities

    • Conduct product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors
    • Source material, goods, and services and negotiate the most cost-effective contract and deals
    • Performing inventory inspection and reordering supplies and stock
    • Conduct market research to remain updated about emerging trends and business opportunities
    • Inspect stock and report any faulty item or inconsistencies immediately
    • Update and maintain records of all orders, payment, and received stock

    Skills And Qualification

    • Bachelor degree in business, logistics, or related field
    • Candidate must have a working experience in steel industry or other manufacturing industry.
    • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as a purchase executive
    • Proficiency in relevant management software programs
    • Superb negotiation skills
    • Great organization and planning skills
    • Able to identify market trends and make the decision in a high-stress environment

    Human Rights Manager - Kenya

    • Promoting and protecting Human Rights within the Organization and surrounding communities in line with company policies and the UN Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights.

    Main accountabilities of the Human Rights Manager will include: -

    • Working with key stakeholders to develop a detailed action plan to address human rights challenges in the workplace and in surrounding communities.
    • Oversee human rights strategy with objectives and KPIs.
    • Implementing meaningful human rights due diligence activities, including assessing, managing and monitoring the business’ impact on human rights, security and the environment.
    • Developing and implementing a stakeholder engagement strategy to maintain relations with government officials, community representatives, unions, industry bodies and regulatory authorities as far as human rights and environmental issues are concerned.
    • Developing and implementing a community engagement and consultation strategy using community consultation sessions to build strong relationships with surrounding communities.
    • Help implement and support the company’s new grievance systems (for both employees and communities) and facilitate the integration of learnings from grievance mechanisms and remedial efforts into the human rights due diligence processes.
    • Presenting strategic projects to MD & FDP CSO to help address/mitigate identified or perceived social risks.
    • Developing relevant KPI’s that help monitor progress in crucial areas identified either in through HRIA, social audits or operational grievance mechanisms.
    • Supporting all the relevant teams across the Company, including PR Manager, Welfare & Diversity Manager, Security Manager and Chief Sustainability Officer with the implementation of human rights-related requirements. This also includes close cooperation with internal compliance functions to ensure compliance from service providers to the company’s human rights standards.
    • Building capacity, training and creating awareness on human rights-related topics to internal stakeholders such as supervisors, managers, workers etc (e.g. effective workplace communication, discrimination and unconscious bias, safeguarding, gender, sexual harassment), as well as provide support to the security manager in training private security providers to the company.

    Welfare & Diversity Manager - Kenya

    Main accountabilities of the Welfare & Diversity Manager will include: -

    • Developing a structure for an effective workers welfare department, consisting of welfare supervisors/officers and worker committees.
    • Managing a Welfare Office that is located where workers can access without fear of being spotted.
    • Developing an awareness campaign around the new structure to instill trust in the welfare department together with other key internal stakeholders.
    • Identifying and managing worker welfare issues such as drug abuse, alcohol abuse, HIV, and gender-based violence (GBV).
    • Ensuring the Company attracts, hires and maintains a diverse workplace.
    • Proposing new ideas to improve overall welfare for employees and diversity, overseeing implementation of these activities.
    • Managing regular reviews of the Company’s operations to ensure they are compliant with relevant legislation, statutory guidance, industry rules/regulations and company policies and procedures on welfare and diversity.
    • Preparing and reviewing reports, managing information, and sharing data on the number and type of concerns, allegations and lessons learned to improve welfare & safeguarding.
    • Collecting and analyzing information to evaluate the Company’s workforce in accordance with diversity standards and goals.
    • Drafting and implementing recruiting and hiring strategies to attract employees from diverse backgrounds in the Department.
    • Meeting frequently with worker committee representatives to discuss worker welfare issues
