    QSSK-MO-SMO-Sales and Marketing Officer

    Job summary:

    The onset responsibility of this role is to increase sales by onboarding new clientele in the EU, Middle East, China, and other ear marked markets for fresh, processed avocados and passion fruits. The position requires an individual with utmost dedication, knowledge and experience in sales and marketing of fruits and vegetables in the international/export markets.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Acquire new clients and achieve the sales targets for our client’s organic and conventional avocados, mangos and passion fruits in the EU and Asian markets in line with the company’s growth.
    • Establish clients and generate sales for the planned frozen fruits in the EU, Southeast Asia and locally.
    • Responsible for ensuring high touch customer service, delivery, and experience.
    • Design strategies and undertake marketing and promotion of its products in the targeted markets.
    • Abilities to periodically undertake products competitive landscape study and coming up with strategic plans to maintain company’s market position and growth.
    • Ensure the company has a robust social media platform and are actively maintained.
    • Product brand development and management.
    • Periodically carry out market research, surveys, and development within the company’s product diversification plans.
    • Effectively work with production and logistics departments in order ensure timely and seamlessly delivery of orders.
    • Ensure all the time the business meets requisite market and regulatory requirements.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

    • A marketing degree or a related business degree from a reputable university is requisite
    • A minimum of three (3) years demonstrable hands-on experience in export commodities sales and marketing in a busy environment.
    • A good working knowledge of dealing with importers and retailers in the fresh fruit and vegetables markets in the EU will be an added advantage
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Evidence and ability to use MS office is a prerequisite
    • Knowledge working with marketing tools and software
    • Fast learner with good analytical skills
    • Creativity, and strong personality
    • Good interpersonal skills and abilities to work in a work deliverable demanding environment
    • A self-starter and goal achievement-oriented individual who can work without close supervision.
    • Demonstrable integrity and passion for work environments that have an invariable demonstrable social economic impact in rural areas

    QSSK-DGM-DSM-Depot Sales Manager

    Job Purpose:

    To support the organization to realize its strategy on growth in customer numbers within the specific territories through management of people, assets, systems, warehouses, HSE, sales, customers, and costs. In addition, the role plays an integral part in the Route to market (RTM) strategy in collaboration with other departments.

    FUNCTIONS/KEY RESULTS EXPECTED:

    • Strategically manage the depot in compliance with the company’s strategy, SOPs policies, and procedures.
    • Develop and train direct reportees to grow the customer base while taking ownership for business growth.
    • Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately, and appraise results
    • Managing, coaching, mentoring, taking part in disciplinary actions, and evaluating the team to ensure a high level of employee motivation and performance.
    • Responsible for the depot’s profit and loss, developing and managing the depot within the approved budget with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Manage stock control of both assets and spare parts
    • Offer exemplary customer service and support.
    • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security
    • Working closely with other Depot Sales Managers and ensuring team cohesiveness.
    • Execute any other duties as may be assigned by Management from time to time.

    KEY CAPABILITIES AND EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or any business-related course
    • A master’s degree in managerial courses is an added advantage
    • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
    • Proficiency in using MS Office suites (i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint etc.).
    • Proficiency in the use of operating systems (such as SAP) for Inventory management, budgeting, cost control and tasks management
    • Specialized activities related to Admin management, performance evaluation, monitoring of transactions, and reporting.
    • Demonstrated openness to change and ability to manage complexities and remains calm, in control, and good-humored even under pressure.
    • Financial reporting understanding, accounting qualification, or exposure to the same will be an added advantage
    • People management skills
    • Previous experience in sales/ business development/ partnership management
    • LPG knowledge/ experience an added advantage
