    Job Purpose

    The Business Process Re-engineering Specialist is responsible for leading Business Process Reengineering initiatives across the Group. The role applies process improvement and re-engineering methodologies and principles to drive efficiency and effectiveness of Business Processes.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Drive proposals for the most efficient future process, automation, and continuous monitoring of the re-engineered business processes.
    • Identifying and applying global best practices.
    • Creating, and assessing process performance measurements, and striving for continuous improvement.
    • Drive effective transitioning of the changes through project activities and objectives.
    • Identify process improvement opportunities, before applying lean principles to improve and redesign the target business processes.

    Senior Data Scientist

    Job Purpose

    The candidate will apply data mining techniques and conduct statistical analysis to large, structured and unstructured data sets to understand and analyse phenomena. Model complex business problems, discovering insights and opportunities through statistical, algorithmic, machine learning and visualisation techniques, working closely with clients, data and technology teams to turn data into critical information used to make sound business decisions. Execute intelligent automation and predictive modelling.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop advanced ML (such as fraud etc) Credit scoring models for different business scorecards using ensemble algorithms in python.
    • Conduct EDA, data extraction, data cleaning and documentation of created models
    • Engage central team ensuring laid down best practices are followed
    • Develop models which do not deviate too much from developed algorithms for Kenya
    • Engage business stakeholders to glean from domain knowledge in creating fit for purpose algorithms
    • Ensure codes are refactored for data engineering pipeline
    • Engage assigned data engineers to promote developed models to production
    • Engage scrum masters and project managers in a timely manner on a periodic basis to provide project updates
    • Delivering projects within the allocated timeline
    • Multitask by building more than one algorithm at each time

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology/ Information Studies and/or any other relevant course
    • Proven development experience in software and software engineering.
    • Understanding of financial services data processes, systems, and products.

    • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and data principles.

    Technical Delivery Manager

    Job Purpose

    As a Technical Delivery Manager, you would be responsible for directing the development team in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of applications. You would also coordinate the development staff’s schedule and ensure effective communication between team members and other functional areas. Additionally, you will be expected to provide feedback and suggestions for process and product improvement and act as a technical mentor and adviser.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Strategy, Planning and Execution
    • To define, maintain and communicate each technical project plan within one or more Core System Releases.
    • Reporting of the progress of each project based on transparent KPIs and the current RAG status.
    • Point of contact to engage and provide support to business and technical stakeholders of the project.
    • To work closely with key business owners/stakeholders, Business project managers and the IT delivery teams to ensure a high quality, on time project to agreed scope.
    • Ensure quality gate criteria is met at each gate, and where this is not met communicating the impact of this back to the relevant stakeholder.
    • Managing any conflicts within the Project to ensure these do not impact the delivery of the project and ultimately the release.
    • To manage all elements of the end-to-end project process ensuring issues, risks and dependencies are managed appropriately.
    • Running regular Project progress review meetings, as relevant for each phase within the delivery of the Project.
    • Capture learnings and improvements as we progress through the Project that the Release Management team can apply to future projects within future releases.

    Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer

    Responsibilities

    • Engage internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical requirements
    • Engages external stakeholders such as Microsoft to conduct trainings and facilitate the resolution of niche BI development issues
    • Ensure positive stakeholder engagements throughout the lifecycle of a task or project
    • Lead data analyst and oversee their developments works ensuring the data presented is accurate, meets visualization best practices and is aesthetically pleasing to the eye
    • Develop and maintain BI applications and dashboards
    • Manage administration of business intelligence (BI) tools such as Power BI, Tableau etc

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelors degree in Statistics, Software Engineering, Engineering, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or any other related quantitative field.
    • 5-7 years experience in BI developments with a preference for the finance industry
    • Should have excellent hands-on development experience with Power BI, and Microsoft tools such as word, power point and excel
    • Should have advanced level SQL/TSQL experience and able to implement the business logic through stored procedures.
    • Skilled in handling multiple deadline driven assignments with the ability to initiate, supervise and complete projects and assignments with minimal supervision
    • A broad exposure to various Business Intelligence platforms. Position requires excellent technical and communication skills. The ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously is a requirement of this position. Very detailed oriented.
    • Willingness to learn, be open minded to new ideas and different opinions yet knowing when to stop, analyze, and reach a decision
    • Some basic knowledge of data science and data engineering is preferred
    • The candidate must also have a proven and successful experience track record of leading high-performing data analyst teams
    • Ms Office/Software: Outstanding skills in the use of Ms Word, Ms Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, which will all be necessary for the creation of both visually and verbally engaging reports and presentations, for senior data science management, executives, and stakeholders.
    • The candidate must also demonstrate exceptionally good skills in SQL server reporting services, analysis services, PowerBI, integration services, or any other data visualization tools.
    • Technological Savvy/Analytical Skills: Technologically adept and especially demonstrate an understanding of database and computer software.
    • Interpersonal Skills: A suitable candidate for this position will be a team-builder, be result-oriented, be proactive and self-driven requiring minimal supervision, be open and welcoming to change, be a creative and strategic thinker, have innovative problem-solving skills, be highly organized, have an ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks prioritize and meet tight deadlines, and demonstrate calmness in times of uncertainty and stress.
