    SME Relationship Managers (Kitengela & Uhuru Highway)

    ROLE PURPOSE

    The SME Relationship Managers will build and manage rapport with SME clients to ensure optimum customer acquisition, retention, and income generation. The role is approximately 80% focused on direct sales and revenue generation, requiring an aggressive hunter mindset to market a full suite of banking products while maintaining a high-quality credit portfolio.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   

    • SME balance sheet growth on assets, liabilities and off-balance sheet exposures. 
    • Increase in the level of products and services consumed by SME and spearheading increase in bank relationships across their supply chain through other business departments of the bank. 
    • Grow trade finance and regional business with focus on importers/exporters and development of synergies with the group entities internationally. 
    • Management of the SME credit portfolio quality and maintaining it within risk thresholds of the Bank. 
    • Management and achievement of profitability and productivity ratios for the SME portfolio. 
    • To manage the development of prudently priced assets, cost-effective long-term liability with reputable companies and organizations to ensure Bank’s maximum profitability. 
    • To identify and develop a target pipeline and aggressively market for new profitable status customers from the identified target sectors. 
    • Manage key customer relationships through regular contacts and visits by ensuring the effective call program is maintained on all assigned and prospect customers. 
    • Maintain high professional standards and strive to provide quality services and competitive pricing to clients. 
    • Cultivate good rapport with SME clients and ensure the bank becomes the choice for their investment and banking. 
    • Staff management and development, including motivation and succession planning. 
    • Directly responsible for the performance of the assigned portfolio. 
    • Sustainability of the portfolio with managed risk levels & consistent quality. 
    • Maintain a high standard of operational control including adherence to Risk Management and Compliance guidelines. 
    • Ensure compliance to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti Money laundering (AML) requirements in all dealings with existing and potential customers.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES

    Education and Professional Qualifications 

    • University Degree in a business-related field (Mandatory).
    • MBA will be an added advantage.
    • Certification in Credit Analysis or a strong background in financial statement analysis is a significant advantage.

    Experience

    • Minimum 5 years of general banking experience.
    • At least 3 years of experience in SME Relationship Management specifically within the Kenyan landscape.
    • Proven experience in Credit Analysis, Sales, and Relationship Management.
    • Experience in structured trade finance, syndication, and project financing is highly preferred.

    • Adaptability: Flexibility to work within diverse environments, including the Nairobi and Kitengela business hubs.

    Production Manager

    Job Description

    • Meeting stringent Lubes Production deliverables for both blending and filling in an incident free manner, efficiently and reliably, while ensuring all activities are being carried out in compliance with applicable OE (Operational Excellence), HSSEQ, and local statutory requirements.
    • Leading daily and weekly tailgate and production planning meetings.
    • Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with the supply chain team to ensure materials are available when needed.
    • Ensuring daily inventory management and that stock loss/gain is maintained within the target.
    • Liaising with stakeholders to facilitate the blending, loading, and dispatch of bulk Lubes to customer sites as per agreed Service Level Agreements.
    • Championing Lean Manufacturing and product flow to the customer by overseeing and interlinking the pull production system for all internal downstream customers, while meeting set OTIF targets for both local and export orders.
    • Reducing costs by controlling and operating within the allocated OPEX budget, minimizing operating loss/gain through flushing and transfers, minimizing blend corrections, ensuring demurrage charges are not incurred, and attaining the set plant production unit cost target.
    • Coordinating the receipt and handling of all raw materials, including base oil vessel/ship discharge and additives in ISO tanks.
    • Implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 standards by ensuring compliance with documented procedures and standard requirements, enforcing security and quality control procedures, and championing ONE MAESTRO implementation through Principle 3 and other applicable principles.
    • Serving as the ISO 14001:2015 (EMS) Management Representative and overseeing the implementation and sustainment of ISO 14001:2015 standard requirements.
    • Ensuring all job tasks and activities conducted are being analyzed and that mitigation measures for unsafe conditions are being provided in line with ONE MAESTRO Element 3 (Risk Analysis) requirements.
    • Analyzing production data, reports, and systems, and implementing work process simplification by working closely with operating shifts and incorporating their input to drive continuous improvement and innovation, while achieving the set OEE targets.
    • Chairing the safety meetings, serving as a member of the HSEQ Committee, and acting as the Assistant Emergency Team Commander.
    • Championing plant shift model reviews to meet daily production demands.
    • Preparing and presenting regular reports on production performance, including key metrics and arising issues.
    • Leading and motivating the production team, including hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluations, performance management, appraisal reviews, recognition, and ensuring adherence to company policies and guidelines for all direct reports.
    • Implementing recommendations and action plans arising from plant mission reports related to operations.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Production Engineering
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in production, supply chain, or engineering within a manufacturing or process industry environment.
    • Strong knowledge of production processes and industrial standards.
    •  Knowledge of quality and environmental management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
    • Understanding of marine operations, spill management, emergency response, and sustainability principles.
