Role Purpose
To ensure that all the purchase requests have been processed and the materials have been bought & delivered to the farm.
Accountabilities (Indirect Purchase)
- Issue Local Purchase orders
- Liaise with contracted suppliers to ensure scheduled maintenance programs are adhered to
- Liaise with suppliers to get optimum prices of items required
- Check and verify requisition documents before procuring the items
- Prepare & issue any other required documents for procurement
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure items ordered have been delivered
- Ensure details of returned items are well documented and follow-up on re-supply
- Verify availability of the items from suppliers before procurement
- Ensure Job card & project certificates have been issued by the supplier
- Ensure the prevailing Market data collection is done promptly
- Ensure that HSE rules and regulations for the company are observed by the suppliers
- Enforce HSE rules and regulations and champions the implementation of the Syngenta HSE policy in all business operations.
- Any other tasks & projects as may be allocated from time to time

Role Purpose
To coordinate smooth operations in exportation of cuttings & seeds from the Syngenta Pollen Site to the requested destinations
Accountabilities
- Ensure KPIs/statistics/production sales/IDF/Agent schedules are updated
- Effectively preparing and monitoring local Agent SLAs
- Ensure the implementation of National Plant Protection Directives.
- Ensure FMS issues escalations are followed up and closed in time.
- Manage the dispatch of products and services from the company
- Ensure the verification of shipment documents and KEPHIS invoices is done prior to release of shipments.
- Assist in dry cargo freight customs clearance.
- Maintain the production statistics of the cuttings department and in cooperation with the production manager, creating reports on the production developments.
- Enforces HSE rules and regulations and champions the implementation of the Syngenta code of practise in all business operations.
- Any other tasks & projects as may be allocated from time to time.

Role purpose
To ensure the cuttings have the required documents from Syngenta Pollen to the requested destination (Import & Export).
Accountabilities
- Accompanies the cuttings to the Airport and secures all necessary shipment documents to ensure that the consignment is delivered at the agents.
- Ensures documents are compliance with phyto-sanitary regulations, local requirements, and applicable international regulations
- Obtains base documents & Plant Import Permits for cuttings and avail them on time to suppliers and Agents
- Obtain phytosanitary certificate for cuttings.
- Facilitates VAT refund process by ensuring appropriate documents (C17b forms) is filed, logged & customs stamped.
- Prepares and dispatches shipping documents to Customs Officials, Clients & internal users for smooth clearance of consignments.
- Books flights, confirms and creates necessary export and import shipment documents for timely delivery of consignments.
- HCD licence application for cuttings
- Ensure that every shipment has a HCD & ERO1/GSP certificate.
- Enforces HSE rules and regulations and champions the implementation of the Syngenta code of practise in all business operations.
- Any other tasks & projects as may be allocated from time to time.
