    Transport and Workshop Manager (International School)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor the transportation budget to ensure funds are properly utilized and implemented.
    • Supervise mechanics’ and service assistants’ performance, allocating driver assignments, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining all vehicles in top working order.
    • Manage databases that detail transport activities, financial accountings, and employee schedules, personnel records.
    • Create, implement, and revise an annual budget for transportation department expenditures.
    • Provide long-range planning for the transportation department.
    • Participate in the development of time and cost estimates for major vehicle repairs.
    • Determine the appropriateness of vehicle service requests and authorize work to be completed.
    • Establish standards of maintenance and preventative maintenance for vehicles.
    • Ensure that standards consistent with all applicable laws and regulations are maintained.
    • Manage compliance with all safety regulations governing pupil & student transportation.
    • Inspect all vehicles on a regular basis to determine that high standards of cleanliness, safety, and security are maintained.
    • Recruit, train, and supervise all bus drivers.

    Key Qualifications:

    • Relevant Bachelor’s degree
    • Practices of operating a school transportation system and fleet vehicles.
    • Knowledge of Laws, safety precautions, and rules pertaining to the transportation of children and the maintenance of transportation vehicles.
    • Effective communication techniques using tact and professionalism.
    • Ability to Coordinate and supervise the work of others and develop and maintain cooperative working relations with those contacted in the course of the work.
    • Carry out written and oral instructions.
    • Read and interpret transportation policies.
    • Prepare and present oral and written reports.
    • Assist and provide direction to the employees as it relates to personnel issues and concerns.

    Principal (International School)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop the curriculum for each class, and partner with teaching staff to determine how the curriculum will be executed.
    • Monitor students’ progress and provide students and teachers with assistance in resolving any problems.
    • Set educational standards and goals and help establish policies, procedures, and programs to carry them out.
    • Engage in ongoing assessment and evaluation of policies, procedures, and programs, and implement change to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff and recommend developmental activities for programs and services.
    • Supervise, lead, and support teaching and administrative staff.
    • Develop allocations of funds for staff, supplies, educational materials, and equipment, authorize purchases, and manage the budget.
    • Work with parents as needed for their child’s development, education, and safety.
    • Ensure that the school always complies with regulatory requirements.
    • To initiate teacher’s preparations of Schemes of Work and development of appropriate instructional materials especially teaching aids.
    • To Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons to a range of classes including putting up displays in the classroom.

    Key Qualifications:

    • Must have a bachelor’s degree in education preferably ECD.
    • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Education or Education Management will be preferred.
    • Must be registered by TSC.
    • Must have a minimum of 10 years teaching experience 5 years at management level, in a recognised school.
    • Knowledge of what constitutes quality in educational provision, and the characteristics of effective schools.
    • Strong knowledge of CBC curriculum and practices.
    • Creativity, initiative, flexibility, and strong communication skills are essential.
    • Strong interpersonal skills: the ability to interact and communicate effectively with parents, children, and staff.

    Academic Director (International School)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead, review, and develop the academic strategy for the schools.
    • Select and implement benchmarking tools for the schools.
    • Lead academic staff in the selection of progressive teaching and learning methodologies and technologies.
    • Design and develop appropriate differentiation and standardization projects that will enable common assessments and benchmarking.
    • Encourage collaborative work to ensure effective and efficient staffing and other resource models for schools aligned with impact assessments.
    • Set academic performance goals against the strategy.
    • Develop and review a framework for the use of ICT in teaching and learning.
    • Develop and implement a quality assurance framework including performance measurement.
    • Oversee authorization and verification visits of newly introduced curricula.
    • Partner with Brand leadership to quality assure differentiation as well as divisional compliance.
    • Training and capacity development.
    • Manage relationships with Heads, Support departments, and teachers.
    • Support the School’s academic team members for high performance aligned with strategy and goals.

    Key Qualifications:

    • Master’s Degree in Education.
    • Must be TSC Registered.
    • At least 12 years of work experience in the relevant field, 5 of which need to be in management.
    • Knowledge of National curriculums, Ministry of Education, TSC, and KICD.
