    Transport Manager – Clearing & Forwarding & Regional Transit

    About the Role

    • Our client is seeking an experienced Transport Manager with practical hands-on experience in Clearing & Forwarding and a strong understanding of the end-to-end cargo movement process. The successful candidate will lead transport operations, optimize fleet utilization, manage transporters, ensure customs and regulatory compliance, and deliver efficient cargo movement across regional transit routes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead daily transport planning, dispatch, and delivery operations.
    • Optimize fleet allocation, routing, and transporter utilization.
    • Manage transporter performance, vendor relationships, and rate negotiations.
    • Oversee customs and transit documentation (including T1, Exit Notes, and related documentation).
    • Coordinate with Customs, Warehouse, Customer Service, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless cargo movement.
    • Monitor transport costs, KPIs, and operational performance while driving continuous improvement.
    • Lead and develop the transport team to achieve operational excellence.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management, Business, or a related field.
    • 5–7 years' experience in transport or logistics operations, with at least 3 years in a management role.
    • Proven practical experience in Clearing & Forwarding with a solid understanding of the end-to-end logistics process.
    • Strong knowledge of customs procedures, regional transit operations, and regulatory compliance.
    • Experience with ERP or Transport Management Systems is an added advantage.

    Sales Administrative Assistant

    PURPOSE: 

    Sales order management. Processing customers Local Purchase Orders through order management accurately and timely. 

    Main accountabilities of the Administrative Assistant will include: -

    • Sales order management. Processing customers Local Purchase Orders through order management accurately and timely. 
    • Coordinate order planning for timely deliveries. Ensure 3rd party logistics partners provide sufficient resources to serve orders at any given time (trucks, loaders, off loaders etc).
    • Updating sales team on customer order status once released to logistics service providers upon invoicing. Ensure all orders are Paid in Time and Full before processing
    • Process Fresh Produce sales orders (all fruits) by ensuring customer service is acceptable and minimize delays in the collection of the fruits.  Share with line manager areas of challenges proactively.
    • Ensuring Goods Receipt/Proofs of Delivery as well as Invoice Receipt is managed and accounted for.

    Requirements

    The ideal candidates should meet the following requirements: -    

    • A bachelor’s degree/ or Diploma holder in a Business-related field from a recognized institution.
    • Knowledge and good understanding of ERP tools (Oracle) and proficient in MS Office (Advanced Excel and PowerPoint).
    • A self-starter with demonstrable understanding of core customer service operations. 
    • Must be flexible with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    ADDITIONAL ATTRIBUTES:    

    • Pleasant, results oriented, hardworking, and a team player who possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
    • Able to conclude tasks in a timely manner and under little or no supervision.
    • Well versed with MS Office (specifically Excel) with demonstrable ability to carry out data analysis and generate reports.
