Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced GraphOl Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable APIs and services that power our applications. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in GraphQL, backend development, database design, and modern cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-performance, secure, and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain GraphQL APIs and resolvers for internal and external applications.
• Optimize API performance by implementing caching, batching, and efficient query resolution.
• Integrate GraphQL with multiple data sources, including relational and NoSQL databases, REST APIs, and third-party services.
• Collaborate with frontend teams to ensure APIs meet business and user experience requirements.
• Implement security best practices (authentication, authorization, rate-limiting, input validation).
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture planning.
• Monitor, debug, and improve the performance and reliability of backend services.
• Stay up to date with GraphQL ecosystem trends, tools, and best practices.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a backend developer with GraphQL in production environments.
• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, or similar backend languages.
• Strong knowledge of database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar).
• Experience with API security, authentication (OAuth, JWT), and authorization patterns.
• Familiarity with server frameworks (Apollo Server, Express.js, NestJS, etc.).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has strong proficiency in React.js and related frontend technologies, with a keen eye for detail, UI/UX, and modern web best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop responsive, interactive, and accessible user interfaces using React.js.
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to implement new features.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, performance, and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Integrate with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL) and manage application state effectively (Redux, Context API, or other state management libraries).
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve frontend issues in a timely manner.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), React.js, and frontend development.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind, Material UI, Bootstrap, etc.).
• Familiarity with state management (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, Context API, etc.).
• Experience integrating with REST APIs and GraphQL.
• Understanding of version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab).
• Knowledge of frontend build tools and bundlers (Webpack, Vite, Babel, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Next.js or other SSR/SSG frameworks.
• Familiarity with TypeScript.
• Experience in testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright).
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques (lazy loading, code splitting, caching).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch).
