    Senior Officer, Quality Assurance

    Ref: CPF/SOQA/22

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    • Facilitate implementation of the established standard operating procedures, systems and processes in line with ISO 9001 2015 and to implement ongoing quality improvements to the QMS processes.
    • Support in the development of quarterly conformance checks on status of the departmental QMS and highlight the identified areas of improvement/possible non-conformities through quarterly reporting to management for quality improvement.
    • Participate in the development of policies, monitoring and review to represent the business strategy of CPF Group.
    • Carry out regular checks on service quality metrics for performance improvement at all levels of the CPF Group and prepare monthly reports for all Heads of directorates, departments and units to follow up.
    • Prepare and carry out Internal Quality audits for CPF Group through the preparation of audit program, selection of internal auditors, facilitation of the audit, preparation of audit report and reporting to top management.
    • Continuously identify areas of optimization and make improvement recommendations for organisational capacity by monitoring business process reengineering, internal net promoter score and promoting business units quality competition.
    • Implement interdepartmental SLAs and Charters and ensure compliance..
    • Prepare monthly management information reports using data representation methods to show the trend of customers served, turnaround time of service delivery and recommendations and submit this to respective managers for follow up.
    • Analyse and report problem areas, identify strategies to address areas of concern and seek new ideas and strategies to improve performance and quality for CPF Group.
    • Identify and analyse issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products/services and make recommendations to these issues.
    • Collate client, customer, and user feedback to address any areas of development that may cause a lag in service or optimisation of operations.
    • Continuously identify compliance requirements both internal and external, timely reporting to management, and enforcement of mitigation actions to ensure compliance.
    • Support in the preparation and reporting of key compliance matters to the Board Audit, Risk and Governance Committee for management decision purposes.
    • Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, local, and organisational laws, regulations, guidelines,and policies to avoid any penalties for CPF Group.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    Knowledge, experience, and qualifications required

    • Academic & Professional Qualifications/Memberships to professional bodies:
    • Bachelor's’ Degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Actuarial Science or relevant field from a recognised institution
    • Professional certification in Quality Assurance or its equivalent

    Experience Required:

    • At least 4 years relevant experience in a similar organisation or busy function

    Auditor, Operations

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    • Execute operations audit and assess CPF’s operations, process, financial, compliance and other associated risks.
    • Identify key risk and control indicators for assigned audit areas.
    • Prepare and implement audit programs and plans for specific audits in consultation with Senior Auditor, Operations to ensure completion within agreed schedule.
    • Conduct audits of controls, by examining records, accounting systems and procedures relating to operations procedures.
    • Perform audit tests and programs aimed at achieving the desired objectives in auditable areas.
    • Carry out post-audit reviews to monitor progress on the implementation of audit recommendations.
    • Reviews and document responses to audit reports, initiate follow-up action, and forward to management all the recommendations for their action.
    • Make a follow up audit on pending cases (collect the auditee's response).
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

    Knowledge, experience, and qualifications required
    Academic and Professional Qualifications/Memberships to professional bodies:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance and banking or relevant field
    • Certified Public Account (K) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or any relevant professional qualification/ certification
    • A member in good standing in ICPAK and IIA Kenya.
    • Membership to ISACA is an added advantage
    • Knowledge in Sharia Operations is an added advantage

    Experience Required:

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    • Prepare audit finding memoranda and working papers to ensure that adequate documentation exists to support the completed audit and conclusions.
    • Prepare and present written and oral reports and other technical information in a pertinent, concise,and accurate manner for distribution to management.
    • Follow up on audit findings to ensure that management has taken corrective action(s).
    • Assist in training other audit staff in the use of computerized audit techniques, and in developing methods for review and analysis of computerized information systems.
    • Maintain currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment,and/or systems.
    • Prepare audit programs and plans for specific information systems audits in consultation with Senior Auditor, Systems to ensure completion within agreed schedule.
    • Conduct system audits with a view to determine the main areas of focus and priority areas and document appropriately.
    • Perform audit tests and programs aimed at achieving the desired objectives in auditable areas.

    • Academic and Professional Qualifications/Memberships to professional bodies:
    • Bachelor's’ Degree in Information Systems Management (Computer Science), Business Administration or relevant field
    • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification or any relevant professional qualification/ certification in a similar organization or busy audit function
    • Membership to ISACA and CFE

    Principal Officer, Risk

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    • Coordinate 0perational and strategic risk assessments and conduct reviews on the implementation of risk mitigation action plans and prepare a summary report of findings for management.
    • Prepare reporting on company wide risk summaries to be presented to the Senior Management and Board Audit Committee.
    • Participate in the planning and design of an overall risk management process for the Group and ensure it is aligned to the strategic imperatives of the business to eliminate any risks.
    • Participate in the development of risk management policies and protocols and make recommendations for implementing modifications and improvements for CPF operations.
    • Plan and coordinate appropriate Risk Management awareness initiatives across the business to ensure risk appreciation and upscale the risk culture.
    • Regularly revise CPF risk management policies to identify any changes and ensure they directly reflect in the organisation’s strategic plans.
    • Facilitate timely risk assessment process through risk management experts or in-person and ensure it is done in the agreed timelines provided.
    • Prepare templates and relevant documentation related to risk assessments and ensure the team is aligned to the documents and submit them for use and review by senior management.
    • Identify and recognize the threats to the reputation of CPF, operational efficiency and financial stability of the organisation and recommend mitigation measures.
    • Prepare and document risk analysis reports to various stakeholders such as board members, Csuite executives, and employees and ensure secure storage of the documents.
    • Support in the preparation of risk related plans and recommend strategies to minimise and mitigate risks and also monitoring the progress of various projects running in CPF.
    • Analyse metrics and data such as cash flow, inventory, breakage, and employee activity that could uncover fraudulent behaviour within CPF or its subsidiaries.
    • Coordinate the implementation of risk management solutions such as insurance, safety and security policies, business continuity plans, or recovery measures to manage any crisis.
    • Support in the review of any new major contracts or internal business proposals to identify any area that may be a risk for CPF and make recommendations on mitigation measures required.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    Knowledge, experience, and qualifications required

    • Academic & Professional Qualifications/Memberships to professional bodies:
    • Bachelor's’ Degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Actuarial Science or relevant field from a recognised institution
    • Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors of Kenya/Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya

    Manager, Projects (I/II)

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    • Oversee planning, design, defining construction projects objectives, project scope, roles, and responsibilities.
    • Provide oversight and direction to outside third parties (architects, engineers, construction professionals) on projects.
    • Develop and implement strategies, methods, and procedures for monitoring projects to inform management of status of each project
    • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

    • Develop policies, procedures, and protocols aimed at providing superior advisory services to clients.
    • Oversee and maintain project budgets, schedules, and other project related information and documentation utilising standard project management tools.
    • Provide leadership, strategic direction, and prioritise initiatives focused on client services, value delivery, efficiency/cost control, project planning, and resource management.
    • Oversee all aspects of projects, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarise progress of projects.
    • Manage various project and product development teams and key partnerships representatives to ensure optimal delivery on all the projects.
    • Lead project management teams to deliver projects that span across several different business units.
    • Identify and document risks related to the Projects services, processes, and products within the risk register.

    Officer, Portfolio Management

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    • Implement asset allocation decisions amongst client portfolios and general management of all publicly traded asset classes including reviewing, analysing, and re-balancing client portfolios based on asset allocation targets and in compliance with investment policies.
    • Research and present new and viable investment opportunities.

    Knowledge, experience, and qualifications required
    Academic & Professional Qualifications/Memberships to professional bodies:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
    • Professional qualification in securities and investments, CIFA, CISI Level 3, ACCA, CPA(K), CFA level 1 or its equivalent.
    • Member of Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI), Institute of Chartered Investment and Financial Analysts (ICIFA), Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or its equivalent.

    Experience Required:

    1. At least 2 years relevant experience in a similar organisation or busy function.
