    Product Development Executive

    Brief Description        

    The Product Development Executive will develop,evaluate and implement Ancillary and Holiday products, and product enhancementsfor greater customer satisfaction.

    Detailed Description        

    • Product development and implementation of Ancillary and Holiday products in the market.
    • Identify opportunities and recommend innovative ways to maximize the availability and sales of Ancillary and Holiday products.
    • Holiday packaging development through researching and organizing travel arrangements from beginning to end that includes booking tickets, accommodation, rentals, tour activities, etc.
    • Understanding and responding to competitor behavior and understanding market trends in relation to Ancillary and Holiday products.
    • Maintain customer relationships regarding holiday packaging and consistently deliver services per customer expectations before, during, and after their travel.
    • Identify, manage, communicate, and resolve day-to-day matters arising in relation to existing Ancillary and Holiday products.
    • Provide support in reporting and communicating all relevant data & KPIs for product performance.
    • Ensure timely preparations and delivery of correct documentation necessary for the customer’s travel (e.g. park tickets, hotel vouchers, itineraries, etc.)
    • Coordination of services with key stakeholders internally and externally for each traveling guest so as to ensure a seamless travel experience.
    • Maintain sales, payments records, and customer data for analysis and record keeping with regard to Holiday products.
    • Occasionally, meet and greet guests, and assist with their onward itinerary or guide them during their tours and safaris.
    • Liaising with Product, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure ongoing roadmap and development and improvement of Ancillary and Holiday products.
    • Any other duties that may occur from time to time

    Job Requirements        

    • Fluent in written and spoken English.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, Internet, Databases
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work across teams.
    • Needs to demonstrate knowledge of airline procedures and distribution systems.
    • Degree in Business or Tourism related major/Tours and Travel Agent Diploma/Travel and Tourism Management Diploma or similar relevant field.
    • Sound knowledge of product development and holiday packaging cycle.
    • Experience in strategic thinking to challenge the status quo and create solutions.
    • Good organizational and time-management skills
    • 3 years in Commercial Business or Sales within the Airline Industry

    Channels Manager

    Brief Description        

    Reporting to the Sales Director, the ideal candidatewill be responsible for designing and implementing sales strategy and supportfor policies, channels, tools, and programs to proactively optimize Marketshare, Revenue, Yield, and Cost Margin in line with the company strategies& targets.

    Detailed Description        

    • Develop and implement strategies to manage and standardize third-party sales organization operations.
    • To guide in the process and ensure the execution of the procedure of determination, selection and administration of third-party sales organizations to represent Kenya Airways in GSA markets
    • Formulate and own policy and guiding principles to align operations of third-party sales organization working for Kenya Airways.
    • Coordinate internal departments to deliver on management and administration of third-party sales organizations.
    • Review and check for compliance in third-party sales organization operations.
    • Coordinate and guide on tooling and system access for the third-party sales organizations.
    • Develop and implement the sales and market strategies to increase existing business and market share from the Non-IATA Channel and SME segment.

    • Streamlines and optimize the use of Msafiri Connect (Self booking tool) for maximum benefit.
    • Communicate to customers via the roadmap on new options, enhancements, evolutions, and Product expansion.
    • Engage and benchmark with different vendors to source and acquire/review tools and system offering related to non-IATA sales performance.
    • Leverage on opportunities created by IATAs New Distribution Capability (NDC) program to entrench and expand the use of Msafiri Connect in more channels and segment.

    Job Requirements        

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
    • At least 8 years work experience in Sales/Marketing/Revenue Management.
    • Minimum 5 years management experience within the airline industry.

    Senior Maintenance Quality Coordinator

    Brief Description        

    To ensure regulatory requirements are upheld and thatconstant maintenance quality standards and organization quality procedures areapplied to Kenya Airways aircraft to the end that an airworthy, reliable,quality product is provided and that this is done in a cost-effective manner.Also responsible for maintaining an independent Quality System and facilitatingcompliance monitoring. Supervise and offer guidance and development ofMaintenance Safety Quality Coordinators in execution of their roles.

    Detailed Description        

    • Conducts planned and ad-hoc audits/inspections/spot checks/surveys individually or under guidance of Safety and Quality Manager of all aircraft and aircraft maintenance activities at Base, Line stations and any contracted sites carried out for Kenya Airways and provide written reports.
    • Carry out detailed oversight for the material supply and storage system including facilities and records; based on audits carried out by Technical Quality Assurance as delegated.
    • Provide guidance to Maintenance Safety Quality Coordinator(s) in conduction planned and ad-hoc audits/inspections/spot checks/ surveys and review and approve provided reports.
    • Assess the data gathered by self or Maintenance Safety Quality Coordinator(s) during these audits/inspections/spot checks/surveys and communicate any discrepancies in writing to responsible managers. These will be in the form of a formal report detailing any findings, which must be addressed with corrective action and the time frame in which it must be achieved.
    • Follow up and verify audit closure actions. Monitor the effectiveness of any corrective action from the feedback and by direct surveillance.
    • Ensure follow up on audits carried out by Maintenance Safety Quality Coordinator(s) and completion of all actions in the audit management system.
    • Review prepared applications to the Authority for Certificate of Airworthiness, Certificate of Registration and radio license certificates issue/renewal for accuracy and completeness.
    • Oversee the review of aircraft airworthiness status by ensuring maintenance program, reliability program and EDTO procedures are adhered to.
    • Review for accuracy and completeness of extension requests for maintenance program and MEL items.
    • Analyze Maintenance Quality Airworthiness statistics and events relevant to Maintenance Quality and develop Fleet Notices/MEMOs/Bulleting and produce reports on the same for Management review through the Manager Maintenance Safety and Quality (AOC).
    • Provide data to manager Maintenance Safety & Quality (AOC) on quality matters as required.
    • Review for completeness and accuracy the database for maintenance approvals for contracted maintenance organizations providing maintenance services to KQ Aircraft and Components. Recommend and initiate the renewal process.
    • Oversee processing and availing of aircraft and related documentation/certificates manuals and other technical information appropriate to the aircraft type and ensuring accuracy and currency at base and line stations.
    • Handle/Facilitate/Liaise and respond to external auditors including regulatory authorities as will be assigned by the Maintenance Safety and Quality Manager (AOC)
    • Assess/ Examine/ Carry out competence review for Maintenance Quality Coordinators for the purpose of issuance of Kenya Airways Authorizations as applicable.
    • Carry out any other duties within the AOC Maintenance Section so desired by the Manager.

    Job Requirements        

    • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Aeronautical /Mechanical /Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related course.
    • Has knowledge in using standard aircraft manuals and engineering procedures manual.
    • Conversant with all relevant regulatory requirements.
    • Has knowledge of aircraft systems.
    • Completed training as an auditor.
    • Completed Training in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
    • Has leadership and supervisory training/ demonstrated knowledge and experience.
    • An aircraft systems training will be an added advantage.
    • Must have completed KQ graduate engineer trainee program/equivalent with at least 3 years aviation experience. OR must have relevant engineering degree with at least 5 years aviation engineering experience. OR Must have Diploma in relevant Engineering field with at least 8 years aviation maintenance experience.
    • Fully conversant with all relevant regulatory requirements
    • Fully conversant with relevant technical procedures
    • Has demonstrated knowledge of Quality System processes. Quality assurance experience is an added advantage.
    • Has demonstrated experience in report writing.
    • Has knowledge of Industrial Safety Standards
    • Conversant with relevant IT Tools and Systems

    • Has experience and exposure in external and regulatory audits.
