    Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist

    Requirements for Appointment

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: –

    1. Served in the grade of Medical Laboratory Technologist I, for a minimum period of three (3) years;
    2. Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or any other equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board;
    3. Registration Certificate issued by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB);
    4. Valid practicing license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB);
    5. Certificate in Computer applications skills from a recognized institution; and
    6. Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    Duties and responsibilities

    Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

    1. Receiving and scrutinizing laboratory requisition forms and specimens;

    5. Sensitizing the community on importance of blood donation with other health care providers;

    Chief Assistant Public Health Officer

    Requirements for Appointment

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

    • Served in the grade of Senior Assistant Public Health Officer for a minimum period of three (3) years;
    • Diploma in either Environmental Health Science or Public Health Inspection from a recognized institution;

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

    1. Served in the grade of Dental Technologist 1 Job Group ‘L’ for a minimum period of three (3) years for; and

    1. Coordination of all support services;
    2. Ensuring timely completion of the hospital reports, budgets and estimates;
    3. Co-ordination of all hospital administrative functions in a district or provincial general hospital; and

    Method of Application

    Short listed candidates shall be required to produce both originals and certified copies of their National Identity Card, Academic and Professional certificates and transcripts, letter of appointment/promotion to the current substantive post during interview. In addition, they will be required to ensure that the Head of Department’s recommendation on KCPS 2A Form is forwarded before the interview.
