    Business Performance Analyst, Islamic Banking

    Job Reference No: NBK/RET/19/2026

    Position Scope:

    • This position is responsible for delivering data-driven insights and performance reporting for the retail banking division. The role ensures accurate monitoring of KPIs, supports proactive commercial decisions, and leverages BI tools, SQL, and predictive analytics to optimize product performance and customer outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Power BI.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
    • Integrate Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate) to digitize and streamline reporting processes.
    • Translate business requirements into robust datasets using SQL and other data management tools.
    • Enhance the division’s ability to anticipate performance trends and support proactive commercial decisions.
    • Build forecasting and predictive models for deposit growth, loan demand, and customer acquisition using machine learning.
    • Conduct deep-dive analysis of customer behavior, transaction patterns, and product performance.
    • Generate ad hoc reports as requested by the teams.
    • Collaborate with IT and data protection teams to ensure data quality, governance, and security.

    Education/Professional Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

    • Bachelors’ Degree in Data Analytics, IT or Business related from a recognized University.
    • Master’s degree in a Business-related field from a recognized University is an added advantage
    • 5 years of Commercial Banking experience, of which at least 3 years in Business analysis.
    • Have appreciation and operating knowledge of the banking industry, market, trends as well as challenges.
    • Demonstrable cross-cultural, people and relationship management skills, networking and negotiation skills, team motivation and leadership competence.
    • Strong analytical skills.

    • Strong knowledge of local Islamic banking market and vision about future direction and market sensitivities.

    Head, Corporate & Commercial Banking

    Position Scope:

    • This position is responsible for developing and Implementing Strategies to drive business growth, profitability and compliance with shariah principles while delivering exceptional relationship management and innovative financial solutions to Islamic banking Corporate and Commercial clients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement corporate banking strategy for Islamic banking aligned with overall bank objectives and shariah principles
    • Drive acquisition and management of large corporates, multinationals and public sector clients through shariah compliant solutions.
    • Develop and roll out competitive Islamic corporate finance products e.g. Trade finance products, deposits and investment products.
    • Achieve revenue, profitability and balance sheet growth while maintaining Asset quality.
    • Build and sustain long term client partnerships, while delivering on tailored Islamic banking solutions.
    • Ensure efficiency in processes, client onboarding and service delivery within the Islamic corporate banking.
    • Ensure prudent credit assessment, portfolio monitoring, and adherence to Shariah and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage the loan book and maintain the non-performing portfolio to bare minimum as per industry’s best practice.
    • Liaise with regulators, Shariah Advisory boards and industry players to position the bank as a leader in Islamic Corporate & Commercial banking.
    • Represent the bank in corporate Islamic finance forums and promote awareness of Shariah -compliant solutions.
    • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing corporate banking team with strong Islamic finance expertise.

    Education/Professional Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related discipline.
    • Master’s degree in a Business-related field from a recognized University is an added advantage
    • Professional certification in Islamic Banking, AKIB/ACIB, CFA and ACCA will be an added advantage.
    • 8 years in banking sales, service, relationship management or operations within the Financial Services
    • Industry of which at least 4 years in a leadership position.
    • In-depth knowledge of Islamic banking principles and Sharia’h compliant corporate products.
    • Proven leadership in corporate banking/business development.

    Head, Shariah Compliance & Audit

    Position Scope:

    • This position is responsible for ensuring all the transactions, activities, services and investments adhere to Shariah principles, guidelines, carry out reviews and Audits in order to maintain and enhance compliance with the set Shariah principles and guidelines as per the Shariah supervisory Board’s directions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and implement the Bank’s Shariah governance framework in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
    • Provide exert shariah guidance to management, business units and product teams on all Islamic Banking matters.
    • Review, approve and certify all products and services to ensure compliance with shariah principles before launch.
    • Oversee periodic Shariah audits and reviews to ensure ongoing compliance across operations and transactions.
    • Ensure proper implementation of rulings and resolutions issued by the shariah Supervisory Board.
    • Ensure adherence to Central Bank regulations and global Islamic finance standards. (AAOIFI, IFSB)
    • Drive shariah awareness by conducting training programs for staff and promoting compliance culture.
    • Identify, assess and mitigate Shariah non-compliance risks and ensure timely reporting and resolution.
    • Act as liaison between the Bank and the Shariah Supervisory Board, Regulators and external auditors.
    • Prepare and present Shariah compliance reports to senior management and Board committees.
    • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team with strong Shariah expertise.

    Education/Professional Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Shariah (Jurisprudence) / Islamic Studies, Law from a recognized university
    • Master’s degree in a Business-related field from a recognized University is an added advantage
    • Professional certification in Islamic Finance will be an added advantage.
    • 8 years’ experience in Islamic Financial Institution with at least 5 years in a senior Shariah compliance or advisory role.
    • Strong understanding of Shariah governance frameworks and regulatory standards (AAOIFI, IFSB)
    • Proven experience working with a Shariah Supervisory Board.
    • Ability to interpret complex financial structures and provide sound shariah rulings.
    • Strong leadership skills with ability to influence senior management and engage effectively with Sariah Boards and regulators.
