    Senior Manager, Digital Financial Services (CSME)

    Job Purpose Statement

    • The Senior Manager Digital Financial Services (CSME) will be responsible for ideation to commercialization of Retail Digital financial Service targeting CSME, entailing; Design and deliver working distribution models that supports the digital channels availability, accessibility, and visibility. This include channel development and adoption on the Retail pillars not limited to Lending, trade and cash management solutions
    • The role is responsible for driving business growth target across the Retail Digital Solutions propositions through identifying and closing strategic partnerships and coming up with relevant customer acquisition strategies and plans to achieve set Revenue, Volume and Value targets metric -  DAU (Daily Active Users) and ARPU (Average Revenue Per Customer)
    • The role holder is responsible to strategically conceive, design and deliver best in class route to market and commercial sales tool kits for all digital innovation and or product enhancements, use customer insights and market deep knowledge to develop customer acquisition programs for all digital product innovations /and enhancements
    • This will include collaboration with marketing and sales to deliver the bank’s digital strategic play; acquisition plans, rules of engagement, sales processes, route to market, digital marketing, CVM, toolkits, CX support, training manuals and key performance metrics for new digital products / enhancement and innovations.

    Job Specifications

    Academic:

    • University Degree (Second Upper or Equivalent) in a Business-related field majoring in Management, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Finance or Administration.
    • Master degree is desired

    Desired work experience:

    • 6-8 years working experience with a minimum of 3 year’s Relationship/Account Management experience or equivalent.
    • Experience in working with large data sets and analytics expertise will be an added advantage
    • Experience in digital sales and social media marketing will be an added advantage
    • Experience in managing agent relationships will be an added advantage.
    • Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.

    Senior Manager Retail Digital Solution Analyst & innovation Lead

    Job Purpose Statement

    Solutions Analyst and innovation lead, reporting to the Head Retail Digital Solutions, the position holder will be responsible for leading product discovery session, translating business requirements of Retail customers into technical solutions and describing them through the set of architectures, design artefacts and implementation approach using the most appropriate technology to achieve the intended business outcomes.

    The candidate is expected to be a strategic leader, able to interpret business strategy and determine innovative solutions supporting strategy implementation.

    The candidate is expected to work with internal and external clients, fintechs and technology teams to create innovative solutions for our clients. The candidate would provide expert advice to clients’ business leaders, technology teams and partners who want to use Retail solutions or create a new solution. The role will require leading complex solution discussions and will span across multiple teams of varying backgrounds, geographic locations, and seniority. The candidate should be able to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences with intent to achieve the intended Business outcomes.

    This role acts as a bridge between business & Technology and is responsible for mapping business requirements into technology solutions. The successful candidate will be the technology–go-to-person in business.

    Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)

    Business Growth 25%

    • Analyse and recommend best-in-class technology solutions to support balance sheet growth, customer acquisition, product utilisation, and retention.
    • Lead the organisation’s innovation agenda for customer acquisition and balance sheet growth.
    • Craft solutions enabling efficient use of Retail Digital solutions; manage POC, Proof of Value, and benchmarking engagements.
    • Participate in pre-sales by supporting opportunity qualification using customer business and technical requirements.
    • Analyse business processes and translate requirements into functional and non-functional specifications for cross-functional teams.
    • Support development and implementation of business cases.

    Solution Architect Development 30%

    • Translate business requirements into solution architecture; deliver solutions aligned to standards and design specifications.
    • Lead design, specification, and selection of solutions considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure, and performance.
    • Identify, evaluate, validate, and document customer requirements; map to business processes and architectures.
    • Integrate all architectural components and communicate across teams from development tools to high-level system design.
    • Build customer relationships, provide technical guidance, and identify new opportunities.
    • Conduct requirement-gathering through workshops, surveys, site visits, and use cases.
    • Research and develop IT best practices and trends in payments, technology, and business.

    Project Management 20%

    • Manage project budgets and lead preparation of business cases and project charters.
    • Define scope, requirements, and success metrics per project.
    • Support Retail Automation Program and testing via User Requirement Specifications.
    • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver digital channels and enhancements.
    • Provide leadership in testing and testing teams.
    • Lead project meetings including sprint planning and reviews.
    • Support project pipeline, prioritisation, and client engagements.
    • Lead partner engagements with vendors and third parties.

    Internal Controls, Processes & Procedures 10%

    • Ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
    • Establish quality assurance standards and best practices.
    • Track implementation progress and define SLAs and monitoring mechanisms.
    • Act as SME; prepare process and training documentation.
    • Support L&D with training content.

    Customer Experience 15%

    • Use research and benchmarking to improve CX and loyalty metrics (NPS, product stickiness).
    • Continuously optimise customer journeys and digital solution design.

    Job Specifications

    Academic:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in either Computer Science/Telecommunication Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering or in a relevant field
    • A Master’s degree and professional qualifications will be added advantage

    Professional:

    • Certifications in Project Management/Human-centered design thinking
    • Technology and experience DevOps is desirable
    • Enterprise architecture certification.

    Desired work experience:  

    • At least 6+ years’ work experience in design/implementation/deployment of business solutions in a Service Provider environment for personal and corporate clients
    • Experience in IT solution architecture, development of APIs on Enterprise service bus (ESB).
    • Experience on systems Core Banking Systems and integrations to Mobile money transfer, USSD / SMS, Omni Channel, Internet Banking, ERP, CRM and other systems in a financial services ecosystem a MUST.
    • Proven track record for delivery of large scale, complex projects delivering IT/Telco/financial customer solutions; demonstrable leadership skills and organizational experience
    • Work experience in start-up/Fintech/telco/tech firm or financial services is desired
    • Experience in open source UI software tools – Figma, terraform or equivalent is desired
    • Demonstrated Experience in agile delivery and Human-centered design thinking is desirable
    • Solid grasp of design patterns and principles, particularly Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Micro service Architecture (MSA) and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).

    Senior Manager, Strategy

    Job Purpose Statement

    The Senior Manager, Strategy is responsible for the delivery of a strategic projects and internal consulting engagements. This leader will leverage their experience in management consulting to deliver some of the most challenging NCBA Group enterprise programs.

    No two days on the Strategy team are the same. You’ll collaborate with teammates and business stakeholders on major projects that produce meaningful insights and actionable recommendations for NCBA Group – from broad, enterprise-wide endeavours to narrower, more business-specific opportunities. 

    This role reports to the Head, NCBA Group Internal Consulting.

    Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)

    Analytics 40%

    • Identifying gaps and providing practical solutions to business issues through engagement with relevant stakeholders, reviewing business processes, reviewing research material and other relevant information sources
    • Structure and solve business problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to make recommendations on a wide range of business issues
    • Develop rigorous, fact based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations. Ensure strategic and financial soundness and alignment for recommendations
    • Monitor the evolution of the Banking industry, competitive landscape, new technology developments and regulatory environment
    • Work with the Corporate Development team to shape and inform our approach to M&A and strategic partnerships to execute the corporate strategy
    • Developing appropriate portfolio metrics and reporting to track performance across programs and engagements.
    • Communicate recommendations to senior management in a clear, concise and impactful way

    Project Management 40%

    • Deliver projects or major project workstreams related to NCBA’s corporate strategy or corporate initiatives – from shaping to successful implementation
    • Converting existing project/product issues into solutions, implementing the necessary changes, and leading projects/programs from beginning to end
    • Preparing reports and recommendations for senior management, to update on the status of their respective projects /programs

    Collaboration 20%

    • Work closely with functional, regional and HQ management teams on strategic projects, bringing timely and useful insight and analytical support
    • Assisting different departments in advancing their key projects promptly and efficiently
    • Imparting knowledge on consumer needs to the product development teams with a view to influence product strategies 
    • Working with top management across the business to drive organizational change and commercial excellence

    Job Specifications

    Academic:

    Master’s degree preferred; will consider equivalent work experience

    Desired work experience: 

    • Minimum of 6 years combined experience in a combination of the following areas:
    • Excellent strategy development skills, with mid-level experience in a leading strategy consultancy or in a strategy role for a corporate preferred
