Job Purpose Statement

Provide first-level support for service requests and incidents in line with the IT service support model, ensuring timely resolution or appropriate workarounds within agreed SLAs. The role also oversees daily Close of Business (COB) activities across core platforms, applies incident and problem management practices, and drives continuous improvement in system support and service delivery for internal and external customers

Job Specifications

• Aminimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
• Aminimum of 4 years' experience, including at least 3 years in systems/application support within a highly digitized environment.
• Qualifications in ITIL, COBIT, PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certifications preferred.
• Experience with cloud platforms, databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL), monitoring tools, DevOps tools, and core banking systems.
• Proven experience managing third-party vendors and support partners.

Job Purpose Statement

The IT Platform Support Operations Officer role is responsible for the provision of 1st level support though technical analysis and offering solutions to issues reported or escalated via the ITSM tools in place. The role will also ensure the Daily COB (Close of Business) activities are performed across all Core Platforms as per the documented procedures.

Job Specifications

Ideal Job Specifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with 1 years in an IT service support, systems analysis or service management role within a large highly digitized organization managing mission critical systems.
• ITIL Foundation certificate.
• One or more IT certifications in areas such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Microsoft systems, UNIX or Oracle will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge & experience working with tools such as Jenkins, ELK Stack, PostMan, SOAPUI, Git, Grafana, Zabbix etc. will be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of the financial services and how IT contributes to the success of the financial institutions.
