    Senior Relationship Officer - SME

    JOB SUMMARY:

    The overall purpose of this role is to achieve business growth for the Bank by selling products and services to SME’s within assigned market segments and by promoting and selling other products and services of the Bank to enhance value-added relationship with existing customers.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

     Strategy - 20%

    • To support the branches in increasing business in the sectors and segments allocated.
    • Ensure implementation of the SME Banking strategy in line with the allotted Sector / Segment and aligned to the overall strategy of the Bank. 

    Acquisition: Business Development -35%

    • To onboard new customers so as to grow the Bank's liabilities, Assets and NFI
    • To service existing customers so as to continuously grow the Bank's liabilities, Assets and NFI
    • To increase product usage amongst existing customers in the portfolio assigned
    • To increase account activity and utilization amongst existing customers in the portfolio assigned
    • To ensure continuous engagement
    • To play a key role in product development relevant to the SME Banking sector.
    • To evaluate credit proposals and ensure the credit applications process on a timely basis with the bank’s set turnaround times.

    Cross-sell, Retention & Servicing of Clients - 25%

    • Provide advice on potential financial solutions based on identified need
    • Understand and Resolve and where necessary, escalate client queries in a timely and appropriate manner
    • Analyze financial requirements of customer and match with the Bank’s product offerings
    • To grow the Bank's wallet share in the SME banking sector within the designated portfolio / segment.
    • To evaluate credit proposals and ensure the credit applications process on a timely basis with the bank’s set turnaround times.
    • Develop and maintain strong working relations with all existing clients at key levels to optimize the utilization of approved facilities
    • Ensure renewal of facilities such as overdrafts are undertaken in a timely manner and no limits expire / mature
    • Ensure proper communication to clientele in respect to any changes in the Banks services or products 
    • Manage all facilities in the portfolio to maintain an acceptable PAR
    • Ensure that the client has an active account by frequently reviewing the account to ensure that there are regular transactions depending on the nature of the clients business

    Officer, Credit Collections - 2 Positions

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Reporting to the Senior Manager, the role holder will be; Responsible for handling a specific portfolio of delinquent (1-90DPD)  Overdraft facilities within the Corporate, Retail and SME segments of the Bank, with the objective of putting in place and adopting appropriate strategies within policy guidelines and regulation to minimize credit losses and  ensure the  portfolio remains profitable in  line  with SBM Bank business objectives.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Operational - 55%

    • Daily monitoring of allocated portfolio of delinquent term loans (1-90DPD) facilities to determine reasons for delinquency by application of sound credit judgment, collections strategy and process within pre-determined broad policy guidelines and regulation to minimize credit losses.
    • Guide the banks policy by providing data that show main reason for accounts default, exposure per default reason as indicated in the in the process summary document.
    • Using existing Collections reports and systems available from time to time, follow up clients within own portfolio to recover arrears.
    • Undertake timely collections actions through effective communication and negotiate with customers on their overdrawn facilities while ensuring that subsequent actions on the facilities, if required, are not unduly delayed.
    • Quick identification and escalation of Collections exceptions on own portfolio to reporting line that require approval or consideration of alternative recovery actions.
    • Constant liaison with the business network to undertake appropriate measures on allocated Collections portfolio to offer alternative solutions for customers.
    • Ensure individual performance objectives and measures are agreed with line manager.
    • Efficiently maintaining an accurate diary of collections actions undertaken on own portfolio with timely follow-up of due actions.
    • Ensure upload of all actions taken onto the Debt Collection & Collateral management system - DCCM

    Relationship Management - 25%

    • Respond to customer complaints and queries and escalate unresolved cases for collections management review and advice.
    • Advise business head of all facilities due to expire, Expire and with hardcore tendencies and follow up for closure of the same.
    • Application of world class customer service standards at all times while handling customers issues, walk in customers and customer correspondences assigned on recovery related matters.

    Assistant Relationship Manager, Corporate Legal

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Business development role to offer bank products and custodial services to corporate Legal, institutional clients, high net worth individuals and investment groups; whilst ensuring that the customers are retained profitably.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Strategy - 30%

    • To implement strategies towards targeting of Corporate Legal, financial institutions for the purpose of acquiring liabilities, assets and non-funded income lines et al,
    • To ensure adequate customer retention strategies are employed to attain growth from existing customers.

    Senior Officer, Core Banking Applications

    JOB SUMMARY:

    The overall purpose of this role is to supervise and maintain the bank’s repository of core software and applications through best practices and the appropriate collaboration with technical, business, and third party organizations as well as plan and coordinate migrations, upgrades, new version analysis and advise on design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information systems.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • To ensure full availability (24/7) of all the Applications of Core unit in line with the IT policy, procedures and the Bank’s strategic plan.
    • Analysis and assessment of business needs and requirements versus system support.
    • Provide Core Banking System parameterization according to the user requests as well as a regular periodic parameterization 
    • Create new branches, products, features, modules in core banking system upon a request.
    • Identify, analyze and report occurred and potential user and/or system problems as well as coordinate with software vendor for solutions, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis and implementing bug fixes.
    • Support system upgrades, new features and/or product test, and apply fixes/patches
    • Coordinate DRP/BCP of core banking system testing and provide reports for ensuring compliance to the comply with IT policy
    • Provide system training and support to head office and branches
    • Provide coordination and necessary Core Banking System Support during testing, implementation and go live of all core banking peripheral applications such as ATM, Switch, Clearing, AML, Treasury Application, Loan/Credit application, Analytics etc.
    • Assist in delivering system solutions and implement projects to meet business, operation and compliance objectives.
    • Work with various parties to asses, propose, develop, test and roll-out solutions to ensure successful system implementation 
    • Provide application support to achieve target level of availability thus requiring incumbent to track problems and ensure speedy resolution either internally or by vendor in order to minimize disruption to business operations.
    • Follow-up audit findings, propose remediation and ensure rectification or mitigation be carried out successfully.
    • Work closely with data entry and teller to ensure that they can finish their tasks before close of business.
    • Work closely with human resource office to perform change requests from all branches related to core banking system.
    • Provides support to the IT Help desk for application related calls.
    • Ensure to work as per Bank’s policies and guidelines and also as per audit recommendations/requirements.
    • Prepares written materials (e.g. procedures, system level documentation, reports, memos, letters, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information.
    • Provide leadership to other unit staff in ensuring services are delivered accurately and timely while adhering to laid out procedures and policies.
    • Ensure compliance with bank and regulatory requirements during implementation of various related services for the bank.
    • Be a core member for all IT project implementation groups, coordinating execution of BANK related activities. 
    • Perform change management risk reviews and post implementation reviews for all change requests.
    • Proactively monitoring Core Apps services to ensure compliance of all users and services, and in case of any discrepancy report immediately to the Head of IT Applications.
    • Regularly review and update Core Apps related policies, standards and operating procedures, while enforcing departmental and organization wise compliance to the IT management policies.
