    HR Manager (Safari Group)

    Duties        

    • Cascade strategic HR policies and processes developed by the Group Director to line managers and staff, ensuring consistent application across all properties.
    • Manage industrial relations, ensuring adherence to collective bargaining agreements and maintaining strong relationships with unions in the hospitality industry.
    • Lead recruitment efforts to attract and hire top talent, ensuring a seamless onboarding process to provide a positive employee experience from day one.
    • Oversee day-to-day HR functions, including leave management, attendance tracking, recruitment, and contracting.
    • Collect and analyze HR data to generate comprehensive reports and present HR metrics to leadership, supporting data-driven decision-making.
    • Implement and cascade performance metrics, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
    • Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives to enhance the employee brand and reduce attrition rates.
    • Support or lead the development of learning and development strategies at the operational level, promoting a culture of growth and development.
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations across East Africa, adapting practices to meet legal requirements.
    • Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely distribution of employee compensation. Collaborate with the finance department to address payroll discrepancies and ensure adherence to financial regulations.
    • Coordinate HR functions across different business units, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals and strategies.
    • Manage and mentor a team of junior HR staff, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high performance.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus.
    • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar HR management role, preferably within the hospitality or related industry.
    • Strong understanding of labor laws and industrial relations in Kenya
    • Ability to read and interpret collective bargaining agreements and ensure compliance.
    • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in HR metrics and analytics.
    • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence staff at all levels, with a focus on improving employee engagement and reducing attrition.
    • Experience in developing and implementing learning and development programs.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Flexibility and willingness to travel to different properties as needed.
    • Proven ability to manage HR functions across multiple business units effectively.
    • Experience in leading and developing a team of HR professionals.
    • Excellent communication skills across cultures
    • Energetic, team player who is willing to get involved
    • Strong organisational skills and ability to work well under pressure

    External Sales Engineer

    Key Responsibilities

    • Developing our customer base within the region whilst maintaining our current base.
    • Be able to promote our range of products by means of cold calling, through performing sales and technical presentations as well as live demonstrations on the products.
    • Providing exceptional customer service at all times and maximizing every sale opportunity for the Company.
    • Keeping up to date with our existing and new products.
    • Active use of our CRM (Bluewave) to plan and manage day to day sales activities, to produce weekly, Monthly and Quarterly sales forecasts.
    • Be able to create customer quotations.
    • Attend Bi-Weekly Sales meeting which will be held on MS teams and report daily into the sales manager of the company.
    • Working closely with Marketing, Solutions, Service and Project teams.
    • Providing technical sales support on our range of products.

    Qualifications

    • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering with relevant experience
    • Must have at least 6 years of working experience in engineering and sales
    • Product knowledge of the company’s products and/or a strong technical background in process instrumentation would also be ideal
    • Experience in various types of Process Control Instruments for the measurement of flow, level, pressure, moisture and humidity, gas analyzer’s applications in the Chemical, Petrochemical, Power, Mining, Food and Beverage, Paper, Pulp, Sugar, Industrials (Cement, Air separation plants etc.) and Pharmaceutical Industries.
    • A suitable knowledge on the application of process control as well as manual operated valves
    • Ability to develop and successfully implement account plans, forecasts, reports and call plans
    • Be determined, tenacious and own the position.
    • Possess a strong business commercial acumen and outcome focus
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills
    • Previous experience using a CRM tool would be highly regarded.

    Sales Engineer (Steel)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Generate Sales leads and enquiries, review and understand the project requirement
    • Prepare costing, generate commercial offers/budgetary offers, execute the daily sales activities etc,.
    • Support technical and commercial discussions, negotiate the Contractual terms & Conditions
    • Handle business with EPC Contractors/ fabricators
    • Direct tenders of end-users/authorities and manage the entire tender process
    • Responsible to develop new Sales leads & acquire new customers to support realizing the budget & achieve the growth targets
    • Explore the New market / Products and geographical expansion opportunities
    • Closely track the Projects and Identify new / upcoming projects in the region
    • Pre-qualifications of mills whenever needed
    • Provide insight of market development & trends, price evaluation, competition analysis, current & future target projects and forecast on volume/revenue /Gross margin to support in decision making and strategies to set future growth plans.
    • Collect market intelligence for steel products
    • Understand customers’ technical requirements thoroughly
    • Visit key decision regularly.

    Qualifications:

    • Mus possess a relevant bachelors degree in engineering
    • Must have 2-4 years of experience in Steel Sales
    • Must have strong presentation skills
    • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and are adept at working with multiple stakeholders
    • Ability to research and keep on top of industry development.
