    Brand Executive

    Job Ref: ZU/10/25/48/2022

    S/he will develop creative artwork and designs for the university, guide the overall process of branding to ensure brand sanctity, and complement the digital communication office to achieve its objectives.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Director, Corporate Affairs and Marketing, the position holder will be responsible for the following, amongst others:

    • Preparing layouts, designs, and formats for use in publications;
    • Preparing layouts and scales photographs, marking them for proper screen values for print reproduction;
    • Designing posters and other artwork from oral or written instructions;
    • Assisting in editing and publication research duties;
    • Assisting in coordinating the printing, typesetting, and other outside services;
    • Developing animations;
    • Video Editing;
    • Support the ideation and development of content for social media;
    • Support the social media community management activities;
    • Provide reports and analytics on the effectiveness of the strategies employed in social media communication;

    Qualification & Experience

    • Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design or relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Additional certified technical training in graphic design and/or desktop publishing; skills in video editing and animation will be of advantage;
    • At least 3-year relevant experience in design and brand management;
    • Interest and knowledge of Graphic Design, Branding and Social Media Content Management.
    • Be an expert in Adobe Creative Suite 5. x (Photoshop, Illustrator, and In Design).
    • Ability to manage conflicting project demands, thrive in a fast-paced role, and be able to deliver in high-pressure situations;
    • Proficiency in written and verbal communication;
    • Proficient at creative and imaginative thinking for project planning and implementation;
    • Must be well organized, able to plan work and deliver within strict deadlines with minimal supervision;
    • Should be a team player open to team input and collaborative work.

    Web Application Developer

    Job Ref: ZU/10/25/46/2022

    The main objective of the position holder is to provide support in the automation and digitization of University business processes.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Reporting to the IT Manager, the position holder will be responsible for the following, amongst others:

    • Writing well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
    • Creating website layout/user interfaces by using standard HTML/CSS practices.
    • Coordinating the development cycle and attesting to the compatibility of different modules.
    • Developing solutions that have an element of; Cloud Computing, Data Science, Artificial intelligence and Blockchain among others.
    • Translating UI/UX wireframes to visual elements.
    • Building and testing Application Program Interfaces (APIs) for applications to exchange data.
    • Integrating data from various back-end services and databases.
    • Implementation of a robust set of services and APIs to power the web application.
    • Integration of the front-end and back-end aspects of the web application.
    • Updating, repairing, modifying, and developing existing software and generic applications.
    • Fixing the problems arising across the test cycles and continuously improving the quality of deliverables.
    • Creating reports and presenting development updates to teams and stakeholders.
    • Developing technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code.
    • Researching potential programming needs and required programming languages.
    • Performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty code.

    Qualification & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field from a recognized university.
    • 3 years of working experience architecting and deploying business systems.
    • Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS, and Javascript.
    • Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, ASP.NET, Ruby on Rails, Python and Java.
    • A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices.
    • Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development.
    • Basic knowledge of the Search Engine Optimization process.
    • Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms (such as mobile vs, desktop), and optimizing output to match the specific platform.
    • Must be well organized, able to plan work and deliver within strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
    • Should be a team player open to team input and collaborative work.

    Admission Officer

    The objective of this position is to provide world-class Customer Service at all times and to ensure total Customer Delight in alignment with the values of Responsiveness, efficiency, accessibility, Reliability, integrity, and care.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Lead Admission Officer, the position holder will be responsible for the following, amongst others:

    • Respond to incoming phone calls on designated lines.
    • Respond to customers’ emails.
    • Manage and resolve customer complaints on call.
    • Document all call information according to standard operating procedures.
    • Identify and escalate issues to supervisors when the need arises.
    • Compiling reports on overall customer satisfaction.
    • Keeping records of customer interactions.
    • Keep an updated report of all enquiries and follow-up status.
    • Filing of application forms.
    • Processing of admitted forms.
    • Preparation of admission letters and disemmination to applicants.
    • Follow up on admissions and reporting.
    • Providing correct information to clients and other stakeholders.
    • Managing incoming and outgoing calls.
    • Ensuring student retention.
    • Contributing to the team effort.

    Qualification & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Public Relations, Business or Marketing.
    • At least 1-year of relevant experience in Customer Service.
    • A motivated self-starter.
    • Extra Miler and a Problem solver.
    • Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and the internet.
    • Problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication skills including fluency in written and spoken English.
    • Ability to meet deadlines.
    • The pursuit of quality and excellence.
    • Good analytical and reporting skills.
    • Good understanding of University procedures and standards such as the QMS procedures
