    Events Manager

     

    Responsibilities And Tasks

    • Develop and implement an annual event plan and accompanying concepts.
    • Work closely with the WomenLift Health team and mission critical contractors on different aspects of the WomenLift Health signature annual conference, and act as the “Task master” for all teams and contractors keeping everyone updated and on time with tasks assigned.
    • Be master of the conference spreadsheet, keeping a global view of all aspects of the conference.
    • Build a comprehensive spreadsheet to keep track of all communications and expected timelines with speakers and moderators, including confirmations, calendar invites, reminders, conference run-through, etc.
    • Collect bios and headshots of all speakers and moderators, work with different teams on conference and event agenda, updating website, etc.
    • Liaise with speakers and moderators, including confirming engagement roles, sending calendar holds, scheduling tech checks and video production.
    • Work with various teams (both internal and external) ensuring sufficient promotions and branding pre, during and post events.
    • Support and facilitate in handling issues of budgeting, invoicing and negotiating with vendors.
    • Analyze event success and prepare post event summary reports and ensure follow-up where necessary.

    Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills And Ability

    • 8+ years’ experience in organizing various aspects of global conferences, virtual or in-person
    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, marketing, public relations or related field
    • A deep understanding of everything that goes into conference planning
    • Strong interest in global health, leadership, or gender equity
    • Solid writing and communication and marketing skills
    • Impeccable attention to detail and time management
    • Ability to juggle multiple tasks at once
    • Risk management experience
    • Proficiency in various event software

    Social Media Manager

    Position Summary

    WomenLift Health is seeking an experienced, innovative and dynamic individual to manage the day-to-day social media communications for WomenLift Health. The successful candidate will be fluent in digital and social media tools from social posting to content creation, curation and management, exhibit strong writing skills and communications judgement/acumen. This individual must thrive in a dynamic and creative work environment, be a self-starter and be a passionate change agent for advancing women’s leadership.

    Responsibilities And Tasks

    • Develop, design and implements a social media strategy that aligns with WomenLift Health mission and vision, and one that meets needs of our diverse Hubs (North America, South Asia, East Africa and Southern Africa)
    • Manage WomenLift Health’s social media channels, creating and amplifying content that builds and reinforces the brand and drives positive stakeholder engagement.
    • Create integrated communications and brand campaigns based on stakeholder segments to gain new audiences and build brand awareness.
    • Collaborate on the design and delivery of engaging text, image and light video content for social media channels.
    • Respond to social media followers’ comments and queries in a timely manner.
    • Track social media performance, reach, and metrics. Identify and share performance insights to inform engagement strategies and propose solutions if course corrections/improvements are necessary.
    • Provide ongoing counsel on best practices in digital content delivery; develop content that supports overall campaigns and communications objectives.
    • Explore, develop new channels, content, and experiences that help us reach our communications goals.
    • Manage a living document of social media guidelines and best practices.
    • Contribute to an overall social media content calendar across platforms.
    • Interact with vendors such as graphic designers and videographers.

    Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills And Ability

    • 6+ years’ experience in creating content for social media platforms, ideally in a marketing or communications environment
    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, journalism or related field.
    • Familiarity with social media publishing and measurement platforms
    • Strong aptitude for visual and interactive content creation in addition to text-based content
    • Experience with web content management systems
    • Familiarity with content creation tools (Adobe suite, Canva, InDesign etc.)
    • Experience with analytics software, Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics, as well as social media platform reporting
    • Excellent communication skills including attention to detail and ability to effectively multi-task with a willingness to perform a wide range of tasks
    • Ability to demonstrate inclusiveness, collaboration, respect and broad organizational interests
    • Proactive, self-starter able to work independently 
    • Fluency in English (written, spoken, reading)

    Communications Lead

    Responsibilities And Tasks

     

    • Create and execute an integrated content strategy for WomenLift Health across platforms, that supports the organization’s objectives and drives engagement with key audiences.
    • Conceptualize and produce content across website, social media platforms, email newsletters, and branded content. Ensure it is on message, differentiated and resonates with target audiences.
    • Collaborate with country/regional counterparts as the program rolls out geographically to optimize contextual impact while telling a consistent and compelling global narrative.
    • Create assets (videos, blogs, articles, etc.) that engage and inspire audiences to act.
    • Identify and facilitate new content opportunities, exploring ways to repurpose existing content in the WomenLift Health repository to position the brand’s thought leadership.
    • Generate fresh, creative ideas for initiatives and campaigns across channels, and work with cross regional teams and agency to execute on them.
    • Drive participation in WomenLift Health-hosted events through creative content and promotional strategies.
    • Proactively support in pitching story ideas, including op-eds and interviews, to media and ensure coverage.
    • Translate relevant trends/news and develop responses that are authentic and appropriate for WomenLift Health, advancing an overall communications strategy.
    • Manage freelance writers and editors, as well as video content producers, and assign prioritized content projects.
    • Review the quality of team members’ content to ensure it aligns with the WomenLift Health brand/tone-of-voice and messaging.
    • Bring a strong data analytics capability and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) commitment to the work to help inform and adjust the strategy, as needed.
    • Set short- and long-term goals and measure effectiveness of the content on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
    • Incorporate Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices in all content.

    Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills And Ability

    • Bachelor's degree, master's degree preferred in communications, public relations, journalism or other related field.
    • 10+ years of full-time editorial/social media experience, preferably in an area related to gender equality, women’s leadership and/or global health.
    • Strong analytical skillset and ability to make data-driven decisions.
    • A highly strategic and innovative leader who is self-motivated and seeks and identifies opportunities to advance WomenLift Health’s goals.
    • Ability to manage through ambiguity, establish process and structure to help the team operate more effectively and efficiently.
    • Superb writing and editing skills with rigorous attention to detail.
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Thorough command of social analytics and related tools.
    • Highly organized and a critical, creative thinker under pressure.
    • Proactive, self-starter able to work independently.

    Media Relations Manager

    Responsibilities And Tasks

    • Cultivate and enhance a collaborative working relationship within the press and publicity community.
    • Collaborate with country/regional counterparts as the program rolls out geographically to optimize contextual impact while telling a consistent and compelling global narrative for media pitches.
    • Provide strategic and insightful recommendations to our various hubs related to media coverage of complex, high profile public health topics.
    • Develop communication materials in support of new or expanding programs, campaigns and initiatives, including press releases, talking points, messaging frames, media advisories, toolkits and other communication products.
    • Identify and facilitate new content opportunities, exploring ways to repurpose existing content in the WomenLift Health repository to position the brand’s thought leadership.
    • Generate fresh, creative ideas for initiatives and campaigns across media channels, and work with cross regional teams and agency to execute on them.
    • Drive participation in WomenLift Health-hosted events through proactive media pitching and promotional strategies.
