    Sales Manager

     

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Drive sales growth through management of the sales process through inside-out, outside-in strategies
    • Monitor performance of the sales team to achieve set targets
    • Design & implement improvements on the sales processes
    • Build a strong and all inclusive sales team
    • Establish, develop & maintain contact with industry partners
    • Keep in touch with market trends to allow the company to respond to any changes with effectiveness

    Minimum Requirements:

    The sales manager should have the following attributes:

    • Minimum five years’ experience in a dynamic & similar sales position with a provable performance track record
    • Ability to lead and offer guidance and strategy to a team
    • Strong ambition for building a premium service for customers
    • Degree in a business or sales related field from a reputable institution as a minimum
    • Proficiency in computer applications including CRM software
    • Should be an experienced driver with a  valid driving license
    Essential Knowledge and Skills
    • Above average knowledge and understating of the solar business in Kenya
    • Perfect communication skills in both spoken and written English and Kiswahili
    • Outstanding personality
    • Ability to perform and deliver under pressure
    • Should possess good time management & report writing skills
    • Internally motivated to do first class quality work and take on responsibility
    • Comfortable putting team goals ahead of individual goals

    Business Development Manager

     

    Responsibilities
    Sales Responsibility {Area of Sales, target client market}
    • To grow the value of the company’s customer base in every financial period and ensure total customer satisfaction on service delivery, information provision and issue resolution.
    • Prepare forecasts of meetings with clients {using sales call planners} and present weekly achievement reports to the manager. Weekly sales reports to be submitted within allotted timelines.
    • Ensure a minimum of 15 planned sales calls a week, unless otherwise advised / agreed upon with manager.
    • Initiate customer contacts and generate new local business, whilst also migrating ad hoc customers into permanent, long-term customers through the delivery of superior customer service.
    Marketing Responsibilities {Duties to promote the company’s brand / Products & Services}
    • Work together with the manager in setting up and mapping out the marketing strategy.
    • Address customer issues and ensure overall customer satisfaction, by ensuring regular customer service visits, with follow up reports.
    Service Responsibilities.
    • Communication with potential customer base to achieve understanding of their requirements, patterns and freight opportunities.
    • Update and follow up with customers, particularly new and adhoc customers.

    • Prompt intervention whenever serious customer issues arise.
    • Periodical customer service surveys carried out and a report submitted to the manager every 3 months.
    Qualifications
    • Degree in business, logistics or transportation-related field preferred.
    • Motivated by a sense of urgency, a will to win, and a talent for negotiating.
    • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • 3 – 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, customer service and working in a similar position is required.
    • Experience working in a deadline-driven environment preferred.
    • It is expected that the candidate will use her/his existing professional network to help the company in broadening its clientele, especially in the commercial and industry space.
    • Take references from existing customers and get more customers on board.
    • Prepare an annual sales and marketing strategy and budget.
    • Continuously monitor and report on achievements on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
    • Prepare weekly sales and marketing reports for submission to the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director.
    • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
