Detailed Responsibilities

Sales strategy

• Map and prioritise market segments to drive defined sales strategies for those of high potential
• Propose new products or product adjustments based on failed leads and feedback from the market
• Provide input in the definition of organisational annual sales targets and expectations

Sales execution

• Identify, critically evaluate and rank leads; to focus on those with the potential to turn into sales
• Develop and present proposals to potential clients with the aim of closing a deal
• Drive profitability by achieving set quarterly targets

Relationship management

• Build relationships with decision makers in large and small scale organisations, like NGOs, INGOs, Foundations, Associations, Corporates/CSR Actors and Government, with the aim of deriving sales opportunities or referrals
• Coordinate with individuals within the organisation to obtain their support in various stages of the sales process
• Coordinate with the Country Director to align opportunities and strategy

Does this sound like you?

• Minimum 5 years proven B2B and B2C experience
• Proficient in MS Office and Salesforce
• Ability to develop and manage sales budgets
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and input
• Ability to speak English and Kiswahili
• Have a ‘roll-up your sleeves’ attitude
• Have an existing network of potential clients
• Have a great track record of developing and closing long term deals
• Have outstanding presentation and facilitation skills

Detailed Responsibilities

Financial Bookkeeping

• Manage bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable and prepare balance sheets and invoices
• Update QuickBooks and internal systems with financial data and prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports
• Monitor the use of Impact Water financial resources and budgets by employees, suppliers, partners or others and follow up on outstanding invoices

Communication and Systems Thinking

• Coordinate with the global team to align financial policies, expenditures and procedures
• Provide advice and recommendations on financial procedures and practices, as required
• Prepare requests for cash and ensures all disbursements have appropriate supporting documents and reconcile any discrepancies
• Manage and set up income expenditure monitoring systems; keep them under close review and make improvements where relevant

Financial Compliance

• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
• Create P9 reports and monthly financial reports
• Maintain awareness of new or changes to existing policies, advise the team on the implications and ensure compliance
• Administer payroll, NHIF, NSSF, withhold and administer VAT

• 2 - 6 years’ experience managing and implementing financial systems, tax, auditing and administering payroll
• A finance, accounting or economics related degree

• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
