    Executive Chef

    The successful candidates will be responsible for all of the daily operations of the kitchen.

    Executive Chef Job Responsibilities

    • Recipe and Meal Creation: Creation of recipes and meals that will keep customers coming back for more. S/He is responsible for all food that reaches a customer’s plate; must remain up to date on new techniques and trends in dining so that they can continue to modify the menu to suit their customers.
    • Ordering Supplies: Ensure that all supplies are ordered, stocked, and properly stored. This includes all food items, dishes and utensils, cleaning products, cooking supplies, and any other item necessary for kitchen functioning.
    • Accounting: Responsible for keeping track of kitchen expenses, reporting to the owner what is spent and what is needed for the kitchen. Information about the expenses incurred by the kitchen must be accurately tracked and reported.
    • Staffing: Responsible for making sure the kitchen is adequately staffed in all areas, and that employees receive the necessary training to ensure quality culinary dishes are produced. S/He will assign duties to his or her staff, such as food preparation tasks, or assigned line positions.

    Qualifications for the Executive Chef Job

    • Degree/ Diploma in Food service, Food and beverage, Hospitality Management or equivalent from a recognized institution
    • At 4 years experiences in a similar capacity / function in a fine dining restaurant/ high end hotel
    • Having an eye for detail and creativity to look at things differently
    • Able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in English
    • Proficiency MS- Office Suit

    Hotel Operations Manager

    Hotel operations managers oversee the entire operations of a lodging establishment: include human resources, housekeeping, security, public relations, food service, sales and finances.

    Hotel Operations Manager Job Key Responsibilities

    • Overseeing delivery of consistent quality customer experiences in all food and beverage outlets in the hotel including banqueting / function business
    • Control of all costs and stock to ensure hotel profitability
    • Responsible for high standards of health & safety, hygiene, customer service
    • Contributing to initiatives to develop business, improve staff skills and guest satisfaction

    The overall job purpose is supporting existing management team in delivering successful operations, achieving the hotel objectives and improving profitability

    Hotel Operations Manager Job Responsibilities

    Business and Financial Management

    • Operate the business in line with budget
    • Ordering and stocktaking
    • Undertake monthly business analysis and required reports
    • Identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability

    Management of Restaurant Operations

    • Day to day management of restaurant operations
    • Dealing with contractors and suppliers
    • Property repairs, maintenance and security
    • Maintain quality standards across the business
    • Create systems and structures to improve efficiencies in operations, especially in Customer Relations,
    • Facilities, and F&B.
    • Create a safe environment for our staff and guests to both work and enjoy
    • Compliance with licensing laws, permits, accreditation and other statutory regulations

    Staff Management

    • Recruit and train staff
    • Provide leadership and direction to a small team of staff
    • Fortnightly staff rosters
    • Regular staff meetings
    • Understand correct awards and wages
    • The timely management of any staff grievances

    Key Performance Indicators

    • Expenses are in line with, or better than, budget
    • Increased business turnover
    • A positive working environment for staff is created and staff is supported to achieve desired business outcomes
    • Positive relationships within the local community
    • A safe work place for all staff, customers and contractors
    • Improved customer service and customer satisfaction

    Requirements for the Hotel Operations Manager Job

    • Degree in hotel, business or hospitality management;
    • 3 years of experience in management in a high volume fine dining hotel/restaurant
      proven analytical and complex problem solving ability;
    • Have knowledge of service and food & beverage operations, generally involving at least three years of front-of-the-house & back-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management positions
