Draughtsman Job Responsibilities

As a steelwork Draughtsman you will work to engineering/GA drawings to create a 3D model using Advance steel (Software training may be provided-read on) and from which all fabrication drawings, BOMs etc will be produced. Throughout the process you will be liaising internally and externally as required to ensure issue dates are met.

Requirements for the Draughtsman Job

• Previously solid experience working as a steelwork Draughtsman is essential
• Experience using either AutoCad/Advance Steel CAD software
• Should have experience detailing steelwork as listed above
• Working knowledge of BIM and be able to extract files for import into Advance Steel
• Knowledge of current drawing practice and standards related to 3D model build, connections detailing and fabrication drawings
• Good time management skills
• Good organisational skills

Overall Objective

The Safety Officer will be responsible for the implementation and adoption of companywide or site specific Health, Safety and Environmental program in an endeavor to attain zero harm.

Safety Officer Job Responsibilities

• Preparing and ensuring implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental strategies and developing Health Safety and Environmental program, plan and policies..
• Implementing the company Health, Safety and Environmental Procedures and developing site specific work procedures to comply with legal requirement.
• Carrying out job safety analyses and mitigating risks associated.
• Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and are complied.
• Overseeing safety audits and keeping records of inspections’ findings and producing reports that suggest improvements.
• Ensuring that all new employees,visitors and subcontractors are inducted as required.
• Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and any developments in the industry, and liaising with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
• Maintaining a system for recording, reporting and investigating injuries, accidents and dangerous occurrences in the site as required by Directorate of Occupational Safety and Health Services Kenya
• Should have an understanding of OSHA 2007 and subsidiary legislation – Kenya
• Providing regular statistical summaries to Management and drawing attention to significant trends and occurrences.

Requirements for the Safety Officer Job

• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety/Environmental Sciences or any field that may be   equivalent
• Should be computer literate
• Professional Certification in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Proven record of at least 4 years HSE experience in a reputable organization (Preferably construction field
• Flexibility to varying working hours and able to relocate to remote areas
• A mature individual with high level of discretion and unquestionable integrity

Vehicle Inspection Officer Job Responsibilities

• Carry out motor vehicle inspection to assess road worthiness in accordance with the safety standards and policies
• Carry out vehicle mechanical inspection to assess compliance with road safety requirements.
• Keep records of vehicle inspection reports
• Prepare inspection certificates for certified vehicles
• Schedule vehicles for inspection
• Prepare corrective action reports for vehicles that do not meet safety requirements
• Assess motor vehicle service and maintenance records
• Conducts vehicle troubleshooting to identify any likely faults

Qualifications for the Vehicle Inspection Officer Job

• Diploma holder in Auto Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution
• Should have at least 5 years’ working experience
• Having worked with major transport companies
• Certificate in Auto-electrical is an added advantage
• Valid Driving license

Skills

• Computer literacy is a must
• Should have experience with trucks, trailers and prime movers

Surveyor Job Responsibilities

• Carrying out construction surveys and layouts on bridges, highways, foundation and other heavy civil projects.
• Developing record drawings from field surveys and logs.
• Preparing and maintaining sketches, maps, reports and as-built surveys.
• Calculating heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.
• Carrying out Construction layout calculations, Grade sheet computation, Topographical/volume analysis and Project datum conversion/transformation.
•  Provides topographic surveys of construction site areas.

Qualifications for the Surveyor Job

• Minimum five (5) years of verifiable Construction Survey experience and working with consultants or major contractors.
• Formal education/ training in this field with a minimum HND from a recognized Institution.
• Experience with related software and surveying equipment is preferred i.e CivilCad,Civil 3D and Autocad.
• Background in the use of GPS, Total Station Robotic Survey Equipment.
• Experience with AutoCAD/ Carlson preferred.
• Must be able to work outdoors & independently on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions.
• Must be detail oriented, organized, focused, self-motivated, possess good work ethic and be a team player
