    Sales & Marketing Director

    Sales & Marketing Director Job Responsibilities

    • Lead the sales team and support colleagues to maximize on all sales opportunities, and to proactively create new markets and achieve the set sales targets and business KPIs.
    • Development and implementation of the clients business growth plan, developing, formulating and implementing key sales strategies and providing insight into key strategic thrusts that will ensure the business attains a competitive advantage in the market, and remains on track on its agenda for growth and performance.
    • Responsible for obtaining profitable results through the sales team
    • Manage the sales administration function, operational performance reporting, streamlining processes and systems wherever possible, and advising senior management on maximizing business relationships.
    • Responsible for monitoring the performance of the sales team by maintaining a system of reviews, reports, infield coaching and communications involving sales reports, cyclical sales meetings, sales newsletters and bulletins as may be needed.
    • Provide and oversee high standards of ongoing training for the Sales representatives so that they possess sufficient technical knowledge to present information on the company’s products and services in an accurate and professional manner.
    • Oversee presentations for company products to prospective clients
    • Preparation of low performing products list and setting strategies to improve sales
    • Oversee updates from Accounts on payments made by clients

    Qualifications for the Sales Manager Job

    • Minimum degree in Marketing/ Business related field of study
    • Minimum 15 years experience in FMCG industry
    • Proven sales track record
    • Good customer service and public relations skills
    • Result oriented and be able to execute and develop marketing strategic plans
    • Good communication skills
    • Should be goal oriented and have a proven track of leadership

    Route to Market Manager

    The position will be responsible for the design, review and maintenance of excellent route to market strategy which delivers an effective and efficient Business growth and sustainability.

    Route To Market Manager Job Roles

    • Will be responsible for the design, review and maintenance of excellent route to market strategy which delivers an effective and efficient return for the company.
    • Undertake route design and mapping for all regions with keen focus on route productivity and resource efficiency
      Identify opportunities in the regions and establish the most effective strategy, routes and means to tap potential sales.
    • Drive both the operational and strategic route resourcing agenda with the Team Leaders and ensures binding commitments with business partners for business growth and route service.
    • Coordinates the RTM activities and adjusts routes to meet customer needs.
    • Improve efficiencies, productivity and completion
    • Analyse and resolve work problem by developing leading edge RTM programs and ensure appropriate controls and reporting tools.
    • Development and monitoring of business routines that delivers high success rates.
      Development of an RTM plan for the emerging blue oceans.
    • Conduct financial analysis Return on Investment of RTM process, share with key stakeholders, control system in place to get region compliance on route coverage

    Qualifications for the Route to Market Manager Job

    • The successful candidate will be energetic, business focused, results driven manager who can work in high pressure and high performance environment.
    • The role requires a versatile, quick learner and adaptable team player and team developer.
    • He/she will have at least 7 years’ experience in sales Management of with at least 2 years in route to market specialization experience in a fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) organization.
    • Experience in the Edible Oil, Fats & Soaps will be an added advantage.
    • The ideal candidate will possess a bachelors’ degree and professional qualifications in sales and marketing.
    • Must have a valid driving license and be of unquestionable character with outstanding leadership skills.
    • Must have good geographical knowledge of Kenya and ready to travel
