    Security Supervisor

     

    Overview of Role & Responsibilities

    Nova Pioneer is looking for a superstar Security Supervisor with experience and passion in Security Management.

    The  Security Supervisor will organize and oversee all security operations of our organization. You will have to demonstrate excellent surveillance and emergency response skills and be able to implement policies and procedures to maintain security standards.

    Since you will have a number of people under your responsibility, you must also exhibit leadership skills. The goal is to create and preserve an environment where employees, students, visitors and property are safe and well-protected.

    Duties for the Security Supervisor Job

    You will:

    • Model and live the Nova Pioneer Culture.
    • Help the team to be more productive and efficient through management and delivery of all round- regional, physical, personnel and students’ security and emergency management requirements.
    • Serve as a main point of contact for any security/safety issues.
    • Provide a linkage to other business units with government and county authorities.
    • Maintain accurate record of security personnel
    • Complete weekly and monthly reports for management by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities, including any change of security personnel.
    • Maintain an updated and accurate matrix of guards on duty including reporting times, contact details, posting location, rotations, historical record of incidents.
    • Investigate, report and track all safety, security and risk management related issues.
    • Conduct regular risk assessment analysis, develop and update security policies, evacuation procedure, and crisis management plans, operating policies and procedures, in accordance with best practices and ensures their communication and implementation by staff and building occupants.
    • Develop and facilitate security and safety training in view of increasing safety, security and risk management capacity.
    • Maintain compliance with all legal requirements (including fire safety).
    • Provide regular advice and counsel to management on matters relating to employee and property safety and security.

    Security Supervisor Job Requirements

    We are seeking a professional, who is a strategic thinker and planner with strong analytical prioritization and problem solving skills.

    • You love to lead, detect, deter, observe and report.
    • You have a diploma/ Degree in Business/Security related studies. Preference is for an ex-police or army officer.
    • You have a minimum of 5-8 years working experience in managing security in a busy institution.
    • You have a strong track record of Demonstrated leadership in development and implementation of a security management plan.
    • You demonstrate capacity to analyze complex situations, solve problems and manage change.
    • You are able to create security processes, policies and procedures
    • You are conversant with the use of high-tech security systems and possess know-how in CCTV control rooms.

    Auto-Electrician

    Job Responsibilities

    • Diagnosis of malfunctions and troubleshooting: Establish the nature of motor vehicle electrical problems being experienced, track their frequency and any other unusual occurrences. Conduct inspections and test-drives to establish the cause of the electrical problems and thereafter to confirm that they have been resolved.
    • Undertake or supervise the repair of electrical repairs on all school motor vehicles : Fix and repair any malfunction/fault on the vehicle’s electrical system including but not limited to, charging systems, electrical supply systems, ignition electronic systems, lighting & signaling systems, sensors, starting systems, gauges and meters, electrical switches and  wiring harnesses.
    • Routine Maintenance: Perform weekly safety and maintenance checks on all Nova Pioneer vehicles, document all recommended safety and maintenance data and use it to monitor Key Performance Indicators used in strategic decision making.
    • Documentation: Maintain complete and accurate transport related control documents which include; Job Cards for each repair to be carried
    • Feedback: Propose, participate and provide feedback to the Transport Manager on repairs that have been undertaken and maintain a proactive approach towards the execution of tasks.
    • Timelines: Work within timelines that ensure the school motor vehicles are ready for daily routes services with minimum or no interruption.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned on behalf of the organization including running errands, transporting staff and ferrying students to hospital for emergency cases.

    Compliance with Internal Policies, Standards, National Laws & Regulations

    • Adhere to the stipulated standards and conduct outlined by the Nova Pioneer Transport Policy, the Nova Pioneer Employee Handbook and other relevant policies.

    Driver

    Overview of Role & Responsibilities

    • The Driver shall be responsible and accountable for the execution of daily transportation of students and the mechanical maintenance of the Nova Pioneer’s fleet of motor vehicles.
    • Directly reports to the Transport Manager.

    Driver Job Responsibilities

    • Operate the school motor vehicle in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
    • Ensure that “door to door” policy for dropping and picking of pupils is maintained.
    • Follow planned route on a time schedule.
    • Work together with the bus assistant in maintaining order in the bus.
    • Report and document any vehicle defect on daily basis.
    • Observe speed limits and all other road signs.
    • Fuel allocated vehicle as per fueling schedule.
    • Drive pupils to educational trips, sports activities and any other school activity in a safe manner.
    • Document actual mileage, timings and destination in the vehicle movement book before commencement of any trip.
    • Undertake daily routine checks for tyres, oil, radiator coolant and lights.
    • Ensure the allocated school motor vehicle is kept clean on daily basis.
    • Notify Transport Manager of any accident/incident immediately.
    • Notify Transport Manager of any delay, route diversion and riots.
    • Follow Emergency policy when involved in emergencies or accident.
    • Ensure the school motor vehicle is safely and securely parked on campus and when on trips.
    • Ensure that all pupils on route are on board before journey start.
    • Ensure all on board are aware of rules and responsibilities as passengers.
    • Maintain order and discipline in the school motor vehicle.

    Bus Assistant/Mechanic

    Main Responsibilities

    • Convey any feedback/comment/enquiry from parents or guardians to the Transport Manager.
    • Deliver any documents or medication and convey dosage instructions that may have been given by a student’s parent /guardian to the School Nurse.
