Cytonn Technologies is looking for talented visual communication designers to join our 12-week internship program. The interns will be trained on conceptualizing, developing, and executing graphic design for digital, print, and other applications, working in tandem with our creative and communications teams. The interns will have the unique opportunity to learn in a real business environment in the context of investment management and real estate in a company led by dynamic executives with worldwide exposure. Responsibilities

• Working with a wide range of media and using graphic design software
• Thinking creatively and developing new design concepts, graphics and layouts
• Take the design “brief” to record requirements and clients needs
• Prepare rough visual drafts and present your ideas
• Amend final designs to clients comments and gain full approval
• Work as part of a team with creative producers, designers, and marketers

Requirements

• Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, with an eagerness to learn new tools
• A strong understanding of grid systems, composition and color, with a keen eye for typography, and great attention to detail
• Education background in graphic design, visual communication design, or other related field

CES, has the mandate to provide the education services component of our comprehensive master-planned developments such as day care centers for The Alma in Ruaka, Taraji Heights in Ruaka, and The Ridge in Ridgeways. CES also has the mandate to set up comprehensive education institutions for RiverRun Estates in Ruiru and Newtown in Athi River. As part of this mandate, CES is setting up a Technical College, under the brand name, Cytonn Technical College. The institution shall provide comprehensive, quality technical training up to diploma level, complimented with extracurricular activities. We are therefore looking to acquire and retain the best talent, to enable us achieve this vision. We are looking to hire Lecturers for the following disciplines:

• Department of Hospitality, Tourism and Travel Studies,

Reporting to the Head of Departments, the Lectures will be in charge of teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities in the classes assigned to them.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out research and preparing up-to-date learning materials ,
• Preparing course outlines for all the units allocated,
• Teaching the units allocated by the Head of Department,
• Ensuring the subject course outline is sufficiently covered,
• Evaluating the outcomes of individual learning through formal assessments,
• Participating in the development, administration and marking of exams and other assessments,
• Preparing and presenting all the professional documents as required by the academic policy,
• Participating in extra-curricular activities organized by the college,
• Attending and participate in departmental and other college meetings,
• Handling the class attendance register,
• Liaising with the head of department on all students’ matters,
• Ensuring students’ discipline as stipulated by the college’s code of conduct, and,

Requirements

• Be a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in either of the disciplines outlined above or other relevant courses,
• Possession of a Master’s degree in relevant disciplines will be an added advantage,
• Must have 3+ years of teaching knowledge and experience, in a distinguished college, preferably as a senior lecturer or head of department,
• Demonstrate a good understanding of the Ministry of Education’s and TVETA’s college guiding policy,
• Should have outstanding presentation, teaching, interviewing, problem analysis and listening skills,
• Should demonstrate the ability to grow, support and develop young talents,
• Strong computer skills, including high level of proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word,

To manage our growing Technology needs, the firm is inviting applications for the Senior IT Engineer position to join its competitive team of engineers in Cytonn Technologies. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to participate in our share ownership plan.

Reporting to the Cytonn Technologies Business Manager, the Senior IT Engineer is responsible for providing an excellent level of 3rd line support to Cytonn Investments and affiliate companies, giving support across the whole of business in Front and Back office functions.

The role will have oversight of IT Operations including Service Delivery, Server and Storage and Network infrastructure.    

Responsibilities

• Enterprise IT Security - Understanding of InfoSec best practices and their practical applications in a Back Office environment.
• Provides leadership and supervision to the IT Management team, ensuring that appropriate skilled resources are in place to meet required service levels.
• Works with CT Business Manager to establish standards and best practices for managing internal infrastructure, including network, access rights, desktops, servers, internal applications.
• Plan and implement upgrades needed to maintain service levels.
• Performs any other duties as may be required from time to time.
• Provides ITIL Service disciplines, covering Incident, Problem and Change Management; Implement policies/standards to improve the quality and efficiency of support services based on ITIL methodology
• Works closely with the IT Service Desk and other Specialist to ensure a timely, robust and comprehensive service transition process
• Works with the Service Desk team to set SLA criteria for the availability and performance of the IT infrastructure
• Management of the rollout and support of desktop devices, including laptops and printers, and productivity tools such as Outlook and MS-Office, Gmail etc.
• Overall planning, implementation and management of network services including: VM and Hyper V support and administration; Cisco Switches, HP Access Points, Cisco & Checkpoint Firewall and Cisco Routers support and administration
• Installs, configures and supports new and existing servers and network infrastructure; Installs, configures and supports new and existing servers and network infrastructure
• Maintains and constantly improves server and network performance, reliability and security in line with ISO 27001 and best practice
• Develop and lead the replacement of infrastructure at end of life
• VPN, Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and system backups
• Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of infrastructure service delivery methods and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. Minimum second upper
• A grade of B+ and above in KCSE (or equivalent) with good grades in math and languages
• ITIL Service delivery qualifications
• MCSE + Security
• CISCO Certified
• VMware Certified Administrator - (Desirable)
• In depth ITIL Knowledge
• 3 years of appropriate experience supporting IT infrastructure and service delivery, preferably with a medium size organisation
• Good understanding of Server & desktop hardware/ operating systems, networks, firewalls and load balancers, telecoms, etc.
• Experience of working with 3rd party service providers
• In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory (Design, Security and Administration), Messaging (MS Exchange, Archiving, Cisco Unified Communications) and Networking technologies and concepts.
• Good understanding of VMWare 5 / Hyper V, IT security and Data protection, Cloud and mobile technology and Powershell scripting (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• Support the risk management process through periodic independent reviews of the risk management practices and procedures.
