Manpower Services is recruiting a SALES MANAGER with Civil/Structural or allied engineering degree to be Sales Manager for steel and steel products to civil engineering/contractor companies across Eastern Africa and beyond.

• Applicants with SALES experience are invited but other engineers with POTENTIAL sales gifts will also be considered.
• Applicants must be mature with at least 10 years post-graduation hands-on experience in Engineering and/or selling combined and able to penetrate major contractors who need to use steel in basements of high rise buildings, roads/rail, infrastructure etc.

JOB PROFILE

The job holder undertakes the corporations’ procurement activities as per the requirements and regulations in place. S/He will be responsible for rendering procurement Professional Advice to the Accounting Officer.

Advisory Responsibilities

Operational Responsibilities

• Establish and implement procurement internal controls systems and procedures
• Consolidate the Annual procurement and disposal plans
• Prepares procurement / supplies reports, and submits to relevant authorities as per regulations
• Prepares tender documents, notices, contract documents and proposals
• Participates in stock taking exercise, Asset Register updating & Disposal Activities
• Consolidates users requirements to ensure economies in procurement process
• Tenders Management – prepares LPO’s, Notification of awards and contract agreements for all tender awards for goods, works and service as well as regret letters to unsuccessful bidders
• Verify Supplier statements, invoices, Pro Forma Invoices and delivery notes
• Ensuring safe custody of the filled-up Local Purchase Order books, Quotations, correspondence and any other accountable documents.
• Implementation of  e-government, IFMIS and other procurement procedures as required from time to time
• Prepare compliance reports / returns for regulatory and other Government bodies quarterly or as may be required

PERSON PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in a Business related field/ procurement
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of Public Procurement Asset & Disposal Act (PPAD 2015) and Public Procurement Authority procedures and guidelines a requirement.
• Professional qualification in procurement a must.
• Practicing License Mandatory
• Membership to professional body (e.g. KISM)
