    Database Administrator

    Job Purpose

    Reporting to the Business Systems Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity and security of the Bank’s databases. He/she will also be involved in the planning and development of the database, as well as troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users.

    Key responsibilities

    • Installing and upgrading the database server and application tools.
    • Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system.
    • Modifying the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers.
    • Enrolling users and maintaining system security.
    • Ensuring compliance with database vendor license agreement.
    • Controlling and monitoring user access to the database.
    • Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database.
    • Planning for backup and recovery of database information.
    • Maintaining archived data.
    • Backing up and restoring databases
    • Contacting database vendor for technical support.
    • Generating various reports by querying from database as per need.

    Qualifications and competencies

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology.
    • Over 2 years’ experience in database management.
    • Qualifications in SQL, MYSQL, Java and Web designing.
    • Qualifications in Active Directory 2012, Exchange 2013 and Server 2012.
    • Working knowledge of Sage Pastel is an added advantage
    • Solid understanding of ERP and Databases.
    • Solid understanding of Servers and Networks.
    • Understanding of Website Development and updates.
    • Good knowledge in business intelligence. (BI)
    • Conceptual, analytical and creative skills.
    • Excellent communication skills.

    ICT Infrastructure Support Officer

    Job Purpose

    Reporting to the ICT Infrastructure Manager, the ICT Infrastructure Support Officer will assist in best practice for requirements analysis, planning, design, deployment and ongoing operations management and technical support of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Infrastructure.

    Key responsibilities

    • Proactively maintain the core IT infrastructure to ensure its high availability.
    • Continuously develop the Bank’s network infrastructure in accordance with the IT strategy.
    • Proactively train service desk staff on new technologies to ensure they can deliver 1st line support.
    • Influence technical decisions on a variety of strategic projects and ensure that the agreed objectives are delivered within the original project scope.
    • Provide up to date and consistent build specification and documentation for the core IT infrastructure and IT security infrastructure.
    • Proactively ensure all agreed business critical systems are available in the event of a localized disaster.
    • Ensure disaster recovery systems are regularly tested.
    • Create and review project documentation to Prince2 standards.
    • Manage the technical delivery of projects (installations).
    • Be the point of escalation for service desk staff and provide cover where necessary.
    • Operate to accepted standards (e.g. ITIL) for Build, Specification, Documentation, and Naming.
    • Provide management information and statistics on the core IT Infrastructure.
    • Liaise and attend meetings with other departments to perform duties, aid business and organizational development.
    • Produce documentation for all technical work undertaken.

    Qualifications and competencies

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and related Information Technology from a recognized university.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in Infrastructure Support (Hardware and Software).
    • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Knowledge of Core Banking concepts.
    • Experience with successful project management from inception to delivery.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Basic understanding of software design and development.
    • Understanding and documenting business processes and workflows and their relationships to current and future software solutions.

    Network Support Officer

    Job Purpose

    Reporting to the ICT Infrastructure Manager, the Network Support Officer’s responsibility is to strategically manage the development and maintenance of an efficient, reliable ICT infrastructure networks (both LAN and WAN) and technical services support, including the optimum deployment and utilization of the client ICT resources.

    Key responsibilities

    • To lead on the configuration of ICT network systems and equipment; including hardware, peripherals, and software and ensure efficient performance and deployment of appropriate business and support services.
    • Responsible for managing outsourced IT service providers’ performance in accordance with the agreed KPIs as per the SLAs.
    • To manage the performance monitoring of ICT resources and perform advanced diagnosis and resolution of network infrastructure, software and hardware faults (including peripherals and web servers).
    • Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications; monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
    • Taking staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.
    • Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults and replacing parts as required.
    • Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
    • Supporting the roll-out of new applications.
    • Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.
    • Technical support for people using the network and day to day administration and monitoring of network use.
    • Provide up to date and consistent build specification and documentation for the core IT infrastructure and IT security infrastructure.
    • Management LAN and WAN infrastructure, including telephony (IP, E1 and VOIP transport) QoS, and VPN.

    Qualifications

    • University degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
    • Master’s Degree or Diploma will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 2 years working experience in a highly commercial IT environment related to planning, design, development, implementation and maintenance of LAN/WAN and huge commercial ICT infrastructure and networking systems is required.
    • Professional technical qualification in CISCO, WAN/LAN technologies and ITIL required.

    • Knowledge and ability to provide technical guidance to the users.
    • Planning and Organizing – Ability to plan work assignments, juggle competing demands and deliver within stipulated deadlines.

    Sales Team Leader

    Job Purpose

    Reporting to the Head of Retail & SME, the successful candidate will be responsible for the growth of the Retail & SME business volumes in liabilities and customer base through the sales team effort.

    Key responsibilities

    • Coach, develop and supervise the sales team.
    • Coordinate the operation of the sales team by assigning specific market segments, territories or geographic regions.
    • Set goals and sales targets for the sales team in mobile banking, internet banking, customer numbers and deposits in consultation with relevant departments.
    • Regularly monitor sales performance of sales team and action appropriately.
    • Review market analyses to determine customer needs and sales volume potential.
    • Collect and provide customer feedback to the Marketing team with the aim to improve the Bank’s products and services.

    Qualifications and competencies

    The candidate must possess the following qualifications and competencies

    • Should be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or any other business related degree from a recognized University.
    • Possession of professional qualification in Sales and/or Marketing with knowledge and understanding of banking practices will be added advantage.
    • Should have at least 5 years’ sales experience with 2 years’ in managing a sales team
    • Should be self-driven with strong commercial orientation and ability to deliver business results.
    • Must possess excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills.
    • Must have strong leadership and team building skills with ability to manage diverse teams.
    • Should have strong organizational and negotiation skills and be able to respond to questions from internal and external customers.

    Direct Sales Representative

    Job Purpose

    Reporting to the Sales Team Leader, the Direct Sales Representative will be responsible for acquisition and growth of sustainable Bank business.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Selling Retail Bank products and services in order to ensure sustainable business growth in customer numbers, deposits and mobile banking registration.
    • Actively take part in sales activities organized by the Bank in order to acquire business.
    • Offer training & support to customers.
    • Gather feedback from customers on Bank products and their experience to seek improvement.
    • Daily sharing of business acquisition reports.

    Qualifications and competencies

    The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

    • Should be a holder of a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Sales, Marketing or any business related field from a recognized institution.
