    Retail Operations Manager

    Our Client is in the retail sector and are looking to hire a well experienced, competent and results driven Operations Manager who will be responsible for all the company’s retail outlets ensuring that the outlets operating in designated areas achieve set income and profit targets.

    Industry: Retail

    Location: Nairobi

    Salary: 150K – 180K

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure all outlets’ operations processes satisfy audit requirements
    • Lead and develop retail meetings’ planning and organizing.
    • Ensure effective management of all retail staff and ensure adequate staffing levels throughout the business.
    • Ensure that all performance issues, and other issues within the outlets, are addressed in an appropriate and timely manner.
    • Develop, implement, review and monitor the outlets’ operating plans and budgets
    • Maintain, utilise and analyse management information including EPOS (electronic point of sale) data to manage performance, seize opportunities and make informed management decisions, taking appropriate remedial action as required to reach and maintain retail budgeted sales and net income contributions and develop and drive the business
    • Ensure all outlets are efficiently and effectively managed, visiting them regularly, and monitoring their compliance with policy, procedure and standards.
    • Monitor stocks in each outlet, ensuring there are adequate supplies.
    • Identify methods of stock generation in liaison with the Outlet Manager and to address stock concerns where required.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field of study
    • At least 5 years’ experience in the Retail sector overseeing multiple retail outlets
    • Experienced in ensuring operational effectiveness for Multi-unit organizations
    • Ability to read and interpret financial statements; strong analytical skills
    • Ability to effectively and professionally provide leadership and coaching to different teams
    • Strong business acumen with sharp analytical skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong planning and organizational skills with a keen eye on detail

    Bookkeeper cum Cashier

    Job Description

    Our client is a newly established family oriented restaurant in Kajiado County. They are looking to recruit a bookkeeper cum cashier. 

    Salary: Negotiable

    Responsibilities:

    • Keeping track of daily sales
    • Inventory management of the restaurant i.e know the cost of the inventory and the daily food usage to avoid excess food and costs
    • Reconciling Orders and Receipts and ensure that orders match receipts.
    • Issue a weekly report of sales and expenses.
    • Food and supplies budget of the restaurant
    • Assisting in preparing food and supplies budgets and business planning
    • Following up late payments from debtors, reporting bad debts
    • Daily stock take of beverages from the restaurant, bar, and wine display shelves;
      Weekly and Monthly stock take with the supervisor and restaurant manager

    Qualifications:

    • Diploma in basic accounting/ finance
    • Be Computer Literate (MS. Office, Suite Proficiency and Quick Books)
    • Minimum 1 years of working experience in a reputable organization
    • Have excellent English communication skills both written and spoken

    Pool Attendant

    Job Description

    Our client is a newly established family oriented restaurant in Kajiado County. They are looking to recruit a pool attendant.Location: Karen (Kajiado County)

    Responsibilities:

    • Make sure that the water is clean and safe for guests at designated hours.
    • Making sure equipment like pool covers, diving boards and slides are in good working order
    • Picks up trash and cleans swimming pools, restrooms, and facility areas.
    • Maintain the pool area including cleaning of the deck and other maintenance tasks.
    • Maintain the proper chemical balance for the pool.
    • Maintains the pH and Chlorine values for good water quality.
    • Respond to swimming pool related work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery or equipment.
    • Carrying out scheduled water cleaning, using chemicals like chlorine.
    • Logging and reporting equipment faults or water quality problems to managers.

    Qualifications:

    • Diploma in a related field
    • Experience in pool, spa and fountain maintenance is preferable

They seek to recruit a Senior Program Associate to support the management to accelerate the development and delivery of life-saving technologies, policies, and information.

    • Responsibilities:
    • Make complex concepts accessible and actionable to a wide audience by developing strategies for creating key messages, fact sheets, social media posts, and creative digital materials and mobilizing teams accordingly.
    • Conduct research and synthesizing evidence to draft compelling narratives that resonate with varied target audiences – these could take the form of policy briefs, thought pieces or policy papers.
    • Build strong relationships with top-tier media outlets to ensure reporting around public health issues we care about increases and is grounded in evidence.
    • Elevate the voice and expertise of high-level influencers by providing them opportunities to be spokespeople, supporting them on media engagement activities.
    • Liaise with partners to amplify voices around issues and ensure coordinated action.
    • Follow and track trends in global health policies and fund opportunities to continuously innovate on strategy.
    • Lead specific project work streams for projects with minimal oversight.

    • Communicate with senior management on progress and challenges, and ideating on potential solutions.
    • Coach junior staff members on writing, client-facing interactions, and time management skills.
    • Support senior management at client meetings and events.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in public health, international development, communications, journalism or related field required.
    • At least 3 years working experience in health communications, public health or global development.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) and exceptional writing skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while paying attention to detail, quality, and deadlines.
    • Demonstrated competency working with stakeholders.
    • Master’s degree in a related field is an added advantage.
    • Preference for Kenyan Nationals; must be eligible to work in Kenya.
