    Chef

    Our client is a family living in Nairobi and seeks to hire a male Chef who will work for a family residential home in Nairobi.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Prepare food as per the agreed plans.
    • Make sure the hygiene and food safety standards are met in all stages of food preparation, starting with the ingredients and ending with the finished dish which leaves the kitchen door
    • Monitoring and ensuring hygiene and safety standards

    Desired Qualifications

    • Must hold a degree or at least a diploma in Hospitality and or food and beverage preparation from a reputable institution
    • At least 5 years’ experience working as a Chef
    • Should be willing to work for a family residential home in Nairobi.
    • Should be able to prepare different types of cuisine ranging from, but not limited to; local, Arabic, Italian, French and Middle EAST.
    • Must be able to keep up with cooking trends and come up with new menus.
    • Should maintain a high level of cleanliness.
    • Should have excellent communication skills.
    • Should demonstrate a high level of honesty and integrity.
    • Must be proactive and self-motivated.
    • Must have ability to work with minimum or no supervision.

    Real Estate Sales Manager

    Our client is a real estate developer with various properties in Nairobi.

    They seek to hire a passionate, high energy and self-driven candidate in the position of Sales Manager.

    The ideal person is a tested sales strategist and a team leader within the real estate space who will take over and drive the sales function.

    He/she must have experience driving ambitious targets in for off-plan and developing house plans.

    Reporting To: The directors

    Direct Reports: Business Development Executives

    Salary: Very competitive + Commissions

    The Sales Manager will be responsible and accountable for closing sales for house units with within the middle level segment of home buyers.

    The Sales Manager will be tasked with:

    • Lead the team and monitor their performance
    • Generating leads by establishing a network and execution of the marketing strategy.
    • Following up the leads generated and closing sales.
    • Setting the company’s sales strategy
    • Giving input on the marketing, communications and PR strategy.
    • Attending Sales and Marketing meetings and be involved in the preparation of periodic marketing and sales plans and budgets.
    • Managing the relationships with real estate agents they work with.
    • Attending meetings with clients and guiding them on the available plan options.

    Skills & Experience

    • Degree or Diploma in Sales and Marketing or other relevant discipline
    • Senior sales professional with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in real estate in Kenya
    • Proven track record in driving ambitious sales goals
    • Experience in selling off-plan and developing home projects
    • Strong sales mentality and entrepreneurial spirit.
    • Able to work independently in a small organization, solve problems and get things done.
    • Affinity with marketing, communications and PR.

    Senior Accountant

    Our client if a food manufacturing company in Nairobi.

    They seek to recruit an experienced person in the position of Senior Accountant.

    She/he will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s accounting function, build and manage effective and streamlined administrative / financial systems.

    Prior experience working in an FMCG manufacturing environment a plus.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Review and approve preparation and finalization of monthly & annual financial reports.
    • Coordinate all auditing activities-internal & external.
    • Ensure that all ledger accounts, financial statements and cost control systems are operating effectively.
    • Ensure financial record systems are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
    • File all company taxes correctly & ensure the company is tax compliant.
    • Review, analyse and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports.
    • Formulate a payment plan by observing the nature of incoming cash versus operations payment needs.
    • Prepare company’s expected & actual financial performance report.
    • Oversee stock taking and ensure all stock information is correctly posted in the system.
    • Administer proper filing of all documents-internal & external documents.
    • Review all suppliers & customer invoices and ensure they are all posted correctly and VAT is well captured.
    • Evaluate current accounting practices and policies and drive continuous improvement.
    • Coordinate monthly closing process during stock takes and aim to have minimal stock discrepancies.

    Qualifications

    • Degree in accounting/finance.
    • Must be a CPA-K or ACCA holder
    • At least 5 years work experience in as a senior accountant in an FMCG company
    • Proficiency in accounting software tools like Tally and QuickBooks
    • Ability to understand and apply current accounting guidelines, system and policy updates.
    • Team leadership skills
